FINN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 47529 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Fabrique National in 1942 on an illegible hex receiver. Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing and a mirror bright and strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Bolt-knob stamped 7529 (matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate not matching (as usual). Finn two-piece stock has some nicks, scratches and compressions from transporting it across the Atlantic. FINN Model 1891 DRAGOON Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 10362 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1930 on an uncertain hex receiver with both [SA] and 41 Finn property marks on either side of barrel-shank. Near Excellent condition, with full bluing on all metal parts. Bore is bright and strong with very pronounced rifling (has been counterbored at muzzle to increase accuracy). Bolt body stamped 10362 (matching), buttplate scrubbed (as usual), magazine floorplate has different number (also as usual). Has solid barrel bands. The rarer Dragoon rifle has a blade front sight and a ladder rear sight like the larger 1891 rifle (rather than the hooded-post front and tangent rear sight of the later very common 91/30). Two-piece Finn buttstock has some handling marks but is sound. Includes cleaning rod and correct [SA] marked web sling with sewed on leather ends. Not import marked, rare. PHOTOS . . . $1275.* C&R
FINN Model 1891 DRAGOON Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 120 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1931 on a 1931 dated Izhevsk receiver with [SA] on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition, with 75% or better thinning bluing on all metal parts. Bore is bright and strong (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Serial number on barrel no visible, number 120 stamped on top flat of receiver. Bolt knob stamped 633 (not matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate not matching (as usual). The rarer Dragoon rifle has a blade front sight and a ladder rear sight like the larger 1891 rifle (rather than the hooded-post front and tangent rear sight of the later very common 91/30). One-piece Russian buttstock has some handling marks but is sound , with a nice shellac finish. Includes cleaning rod. Unusually late for a Dragoon, as the 91/30 made its debut in the same year. FINN Model 24 "Lotta" Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 20994 (7.62x54R) stepped barrel mfg. by Bohler-Stahl on an uncertain hex receiver. Near Excellent condition, with 90% thinning bluing, bore mostly bright with sharp rifling. Bolt body stamped 766 (NOT matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate not matching (as usual). Civil Guard number S79767 on left side of receiver (Iisalmi Civil Guard district , a town and municipality in the region of Northern Savonia in Finland). FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # S43729 (7.62x54R), mfg. by S.I.G. on an uncertain hex receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore (has been counterbored at muzzle to improve accuracy). Bolt-body numbered 43279 (matching). The original serial number on the left side has been lined out, and the Civil Guard number (Lounais Häme district, in South West Finland) was utilized as the official serial number. Very Good or better condition, with most bluing remaining and a somewhat bright and strong bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). No matching serial numbers on any numbered part. Struck-through Civil Guard numbers S115758 and S116418 on right side of barrel-shank (Kainuu and Oulu Civil Guard districts). Good to Very Good or so condition, with little remaining bluing and a (surprisingly) extremely bright bore (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). No matching serial numbers on any numbered part. Struck-through Civil Guard numbers S61072 on right side of barrel-shank (Saimaa Civil Guard district, a lake located in South Eastern Finland). One-piece Finn stock has dual sling-slots finish looks stripped long ago, and there is an old (stable) diagonal crack on the right side of the tang. Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better original bluing and a very shiny and strong bore. Bolt knob numbered 111 (matching). Civil Guard numbers S102085 on right side of barrel-shank (Kokkola Civil Guard district in the West Central Ostrobothnia region, an important shipbuilding center and for a time one of the richest towns in Finland). FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 14444 (7.62x54R), mfg. by S.I.G. on an uncertain hex receiver. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent very bright bore (has been counterbored at muzzle to improve accuracy). Bolt-knob numbered 490 (matching Civil Guard number S27490, which was assigned to the Etelä Satakunta, also known as South Ostrobothnia, a primarily Swedish speaking region in Western Finland). \Two-piece Finn stock has dings and a few scrapes. FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 100901 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1938 with the inscription SAKO RIIHIMÄKI above the chamber. This is the ultra-rare civilian sales rifle, of which only 1500 were made. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% or better high-gloss bluing and a mirror-perfect bore. Bolt knob numbered 901 (matching), magazine floorplate numbered 58107 (they never match on these, as they are from recycled Russian rifles), The buttplate (the only other numbered part) has been scrubbed (or sanitized). The birch stock has a furniture-type finish with very few minor dings and blemishes. Of the HIGHEST RARITY, only a few RIIHIMÄKI 28/30 rifles are in the USA, and I doubt any of them are this nice! This rifle is only 120 numbers away from the example owned by the celebrated sniper (and my friend) Simo Häyhä. Literally unimprovable (not to mention irreplaceable). Excellent condition, with 95% or better very dark bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore. Bolt knob numbered 9542 (matching), magazine stamped HV. Bore is strong but not very bright with pronounced rifling (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Bolt body stamped 31410 (NOT matching), buttplate and magazine floorplate stamped 81658 (matching). Retains button-type barrel bands, original one-piece buttstock has some subtle tiger striped figure and 1933-dated Tula star cartouche on right side with some of the expected handling marks from actual service use.
