ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # M1664 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1895.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better deep bluing.  All parts matching receiver, including cleaning rod. Crest above chamber ground off (as usual).   Bore excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has a few dings, features long handguard. Not import-marked. ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # P3786 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1896. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing, crest has been ground off top of receiver (as usual). All metal parts numbered to receiver (including stock and cleaning-rod). Bore is excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has original finish with some small dings and handling marks from actual public use. Features long handguard and un-numbered muzzle-cap. Not import-marked. ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # E0841 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  Near Excellent condition, with most bluing remaining (receiver in the white, as is proper). Crest above chamber bold. All matching numbers (including cleaning rod). Bore is strong and very bright. Walnut stock and handguard has faint tiger-stripe figure with a few scrapes and handling marks, front action-bolt badly buggered. PHOTOS . . . $600. *      C&R   

ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K7560 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1911. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% strong bluing on all parts (receiver in the white as it should be) with no apparent wear, gorgeous fire-bluing on many small parts. Crest above chamber very bold, all-matching numbers including cleaning-rod, bore is strong and mirror-bright. Nicely-figured walnut stock and handguard has very few tiny handling-marks but has a tiny hairline crack at wrist behind triggerguard. Includes correct green-leather Argentine sling. BRITISH Pattern 14 bolt-action rifle # W8961 (.303 British) mfg. by Winchester in 1915. Very Good or better condition, a nice example with most Parkerizing intact and has a very bright and strong bore. Number stamped on top of bolt handle matches receiver, rear volley-sight missing (as usual), however front volley sight intact. BRITISH No.1 Mk.III* SMLE bolt-action rifle # U10480 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1908 with 10-52 dated barrel, went through Factory Thorough Repair at Lithgow in 1954, DD (Australian Department of Defense) stamped atop receiver.  Very Good condition with some wear on exposed metal. Bore has a gorgeous mirror-bright barrel with strong rifling. All matching numbers.  Stock is dark and has a rough finish (looks as if it was steam-cleaned) with a few dents and dings and other handling-marks. Has transverse screw through forend, arsenal-repairs at heel and toe.  A very early example, as the SMLE had been only introduced for a year when this rifle was produced.  PHOTOS . . . $525.  C&R      SOLD  

DUTCH Model 1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali rifle # 148Q (11x52R) mfg. by P. Stevens, Maastricht in 1876. Very Good condition, with an excellent, mirror bright strong rifled bore. External metal was "in the white" and has mostly turned brown and shows some wear from actual use, wood retains original finish with faint but visible cartouche of crowned W (for King William III, reigned 1849-1890) MAASTRICHT above and date 1875 at sides. All-matching numbers (148). Mechanically sound (including the magazine-disconnect), no cleaning-rod (as usual). I would not hesitate to shoot it this rifle if I had any ammo at all (.43 Egyptian ammo can be safely used if no Beaumont ammo can be found). Not import-marked. FRENCH Model M-16 Berthier bolt-action carbine # BC86469 (8x50R) mfg. by Tulle with a 1924-dated Chattelerault barrel. IRANIAN Model 49 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 15474 (8x57) mfg. by Mosalsalsasi in 1950 with 18" barrel. Excellent condition with 95% bluing and all-matching numbers. Rear sight has Western numerals, includes cleaning-rod. Perfect mirror-bore, nice beech stock with bold cartouches and a couple minor nicks from storage (virtually invisible). ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action cavalry carbine # D2592 (7.35x53) mfg. by Gardone in 1939. Excellent-PLUS condition, with full high-gloss bluing, bore bright and strong. Stock has original finish with FAG 39 cartouche on left side, the cut-out sections on the right side (for the "Tromboni" grenade-launcher) are filled in with wood inlays when built. JAPANESE Type 30 Arisaka bolt-action cavalry carbine 26497 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1900. Near Excellent condition with all bluing on all metal parts intact (bluing on magazine floorplate and Triggerguard faded from carry and actual use).  Intact mum with all markings extremely strong. Bore is somewhat bright with sharp rifling. Includes cleaning rod, stock has quite a few dings, gouges and handling-marks with original finish. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 1 # 49224 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in c.1940. Very Good condition with most original bluing turning brown, mum has been lightly scraped but is mostly intact. All-matching numbers, this type has ladder peep-sight without its aircraft wings or monopod and is missing its cleaning rod. Excellent chrome-lined mirror bore, wood has never never sanded with original finish with considerable dings, scrapes, gouges and other contact-marks from actual service use.  Not import-marked. PAKISTANI Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # C55836 (.303 British) mfg. by Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) in 1962. Excellent condition, with full oil-blacked finish on the metal.  Very little actual wear, all-matching numbers, with a mirror-perfect 5-groove bore and a 0-marked bolt-head. SERBIAN Model 1924 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 253295 (8x57) mfg. by Kragujevac in 1935. Near Excellent condition, with mostly full bluing on all parts (wear only on sharp corners and edges). All matching serial numbers. Royal Serbian crest above chamber very bold and detailed. Bore is strong and very bright, stock is in excellent condition and  has cartouche of Prince Paul (regent for King Peter II after 1934) on right side, includes cleaning-rod and worn sling. PHOTOS . . . $975.      C&R      SOLD

SWEDISH Model 94/14 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 31874 (6.5x55) by Carl Gustaf in 1904. Very Good PLUS condition, with a bright and very strong bore, muzzle extension (required for importation) has been removed. All parts except bolt release numbered 874. The sling-buckle is still attached and intact. The wood has a nice grain and overall is *quite* gorgeous, with intact brass unit disk on right side.  Not import-marked. SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 52235 (6.5x55), mfg. by Mauser  in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal muzzle-cap). Good condition, with most bluing worn to silver color. Has very strong markings and a bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.54/3).  Rear band mismatched, else all matching numbers.  Beech stock & handguard has some dings and handling marks but is sound with original finish. SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 111499 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1902 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal muzzle-cap).  Very Good condition, with 60% or better bluing on  metal (exposed part of barrel, both barrel-bands, triggerguard and magazine-floorplate faded and worn from carry). Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/2), rear-sight has a VÄSTERÅS wheel-type insert.  All matching numbers except rear band (832).  Walnut stock & handguard has some dings and handling marks but is sound with original finish. SWEDISH Model 38B Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 631909 (6.5x55), mfg. by Husqvarna  in 1942 with bent bolt and threaded muzzle. Very Good condition, with 70% original bluing on all parts (magazine-floorplate and triggerguard shows wear from being carried). Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk stamped 6.53/3).  All-matching numbers (bolt-shroud and striker electropenciled 909 to match). Rear sight is calibrated for 100-600 meters. Stock has some dings but no cracks, sight-plate tacked on right side.  Includes cleaning-rod, sling, and screw-on flashider. Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing on all metal parts and little apparent wear. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/3). All matching numbers (bolt-shroud and striker has electro-penciled numbers), barrel bands and magazine floorplate stamped with crooked crown. SWISS Model 1878 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 176355 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in c.1878. Excellent condition, all-matching numbers (and every part is numbered). All original blued finish essentially as nice as these ever get. Bore is mostly bright and strong with a few dark patches. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having lovely tiger-striped figure and only a few minor handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod. TURKISH Model 48 bolt-action "forestry" carbine # 2264 (8x50R Lebel), originally mfg. as a FRENCH Model 1907-15 Berthier rifle by Saint Continsouza during WWI and converted to its current configuration in 1948.
