ARGENTINE Model 1927 Sistema Colt semiautomatic pistol # 73454 (.45 ACP), mfg. at F. M. in the mid 1930's.  Excellent condition, likely arsenal refinished, with full blued finish remaining.  Bore is a little worn but mostly-bright. All matching numbers (inclouding barrel), has commercial magazine.  All markings clear, D.G.F.M. (F.M.A.P.) on left side, which is short for Direccion General de Fabricaciones Militares (Fabric Militar de Armas Portatiles), with POLICIA DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES on right side of slide.  Very tiny import-markings on right side of slide. BELGIAN Model P35 High Power semiautomatic pistol # 45987 (9mm) mfg. by Fabrique National in postwar Belgium in c.1950.  Excellent condition, with little appreciable wear only at sharp corners. All matching serial numbers. Bore is strong and mirror-bright. Checkered walnut grips show very little wear. Comes with a MEC-GAR 13-round magazine, but a 10-round mag can be substituted if one wishes. Scarce postwar issue, not import marked.   PHOTO . . . $925.   C&R   SOLD

BRITISH Model THE BRITISH BULL DOG revolver (no serial number) chambered in .442 Webley,  mfg. by Webley & Scott in c.1880 with 2" barrel and rounded grips. This is a solid-frame 5-shot revolver with hinged loading gate, marking P. WEBLEY & SON / LONDON & BIRMINGHAM atop barrel.sGood or better condition, with no apparent bluing but no rust or pitting either. Has a mostly bright bore with some light crud in the grooves. BRITISH No. I Royal Irish Constabulary New Model revolver # 82793 (.476 Webley) mfg. by Webley & Sons in c.1880 with 4" barrel and squared grip with lanyard ring.  This is a solid-frame 6-shot revolver with hinged loading gate (Custer used a pair of these at the Little Big Horn battle). Good or so condition, all external metal is a uniform reddish color of oxidized metal with zero bluing. Retailer commercial marking ARMY & NAVY C. S. L. atop strap.    Has a somewhat bright bore with some light crud in the grooves. Cylinder numbered 793 (matching), no other parts are numbered. BRITISH Mark I Royal Irish Constabulary revolver # 34191 (.442 Webley) mfg. by Webley & Scott in c.1898 with 3" barrel and squared grip.  This is a solid-frame 6-shot revolver with hinged loading gate, left side of frame stamped T.P.F. / 160 (Toronto Police Force). .Good condition, zero remaining bluing, the metal faded to brown and gray but quite clean with no rust or pitting. with much original blue remaining, with some patina from age evident. Retailer DAVID BENTLEY / BIRMINGHAM on top strap.     Has a mostly bright bore with some light crud in the grooves. Cylinder numbered 191 (matching), no other parts are numbered. BRITISH Number 2 Express civilian revolver # 63157 (.38 S&W) mfg. by Webley & Scott in c.1898 with 2" barrel and bird's head grips.  This is a solid-frame 5-shot revolver with hinged loading gate. Very Good condition, with most original blue remaining. Back of cylinder numbered 157 (matching), no other parts are numbered. BRITISH Mark I revolver # 2982 (.455 Webley, unconverted) mfg. by Webley & Son in 1888 with 4" barrel and birdhead grips, distinctive "hump" in frame. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent, mirror-bright bore. All-matching serial numbers (including cylinder). Has large broad-arrow atop cylinder bridge and is Navy marked on back of grip (N 65). BRITISH Mark IV Webley revolver # A40192 (.38 Smith & Wesson), mfg. by Webley & Sons in c.1950. Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better original high-polish blued finish (some holster wear at sharp edges). All matching numbers, has crisp Vulcanite grips, complete with lanyard-ring.  Bore is strong and bright.  Very tight action and smooth functioning.  Not import marked. GERMAN Model C96 Broomhandle semiautomatic pistol # 37240 (7.63x25), mfg. as a "Red Nine" at Mauser Oberndorf circa 1917 but now has a prewar 7.63 caliber barrel (numbered 99478) with military WWI proof on right side. Near Excellent condition, with most original bluing remaining, some minor wear from wooden holster on bottom of barrel, triggerguard, and a small area on left side of magazine. Small parts such as trigger, safety, extractor, and rear sight slider retain bright fire blue. Frame has all-matching serial numbers, with a mostly bright strong bore with some signs of use. The action is exceptionally smooth. All original markings sharp and clear, red-painted numeral 9 engraved on both original grips. Very attractive, but not as-issued. Not import marked. GERMAN Model 1906 Luger semiautomatic pistol  # 38998 (.30 Luger) mfg. by DWM in c.1906. Very Good or better condition, with some signs of actual use. Takedown lever numbered 98, no other numbered parts matching. Wood bottomed magazine not numbered. Bore is fair, and is totally functional. A mismatched "shooter" with grip safety, checkered walnut grips are very worn.  Marked GERMANY on front, but no recent import marks.  PHOTOS . . . $950.    C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model P-08 Luger semiautomatic pistol  # 7133w (9mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1939. A Russian capture pistol in Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition, with Mauser "banner" on toggle. All components numbered 33 (but side-plate has been re-numbered to match and was not from this pistol). Wood bottomed magazine not numbered, checkered walnut grips are worn. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, pistol is completely functional.  Import marked on bottom of barrel.  PHOTOS . . . $1250.    C&R     SOLD

JAPANESE  Type 14 semiautomatic pistol # 55775 (8mm Nambu) mfg. at Nagoya in January, 1939 with small triggerguard.  Very Good or so condition with 50% or better original bluing. SOVIET Model 1895 Nagant revolver # LD530 (7.62x38R Nagant), mfg. by Tula in 1939.  Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with 100% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore. Has coarsely checkered wood grips.  PHOTOS  . . . $375        .    C&R     SOLD

SPANISH Model 900 "Broomhandle-type" semiautomatic pistol # 17864 (7.63x25 Mauser) mfg. by Astra in 1930.  Very Good or so condition, with around 40% original bluing with scattered light pitting.  Bore is quite strong for these and mostly bright. Legend on left sideplate reads "ASTRA" AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL 763 over PATENTED JULY . 12 . 1928.   Nice original walnut grips with 12 serrations. This is an updated version of the venerated 1896 Broomhandle, with some changes in the original design and access to the "innards" by way of a sliding sideplate on the left side of the frame. U.S.A. Colt Model 1908 hammerless semiautomatic vest-pocket pistol # 70331 (.25 ACP) manufactured by Colt in 1912.  Very Good condition, with 60% bluing (looks to having been carried in someone's back pocket, like my father did for many years).  Bore is extremely bright and very strong, and the horn Colt-logo grips are very decent. U.S.A. Model 1911A1 ARMY semiautomatic pistol # 714605 (.45 ACP), mfg. by Colt in 1939.  This pistol is a bit of a mutt, the slide is from a WWI 1911 with a much later WWII-era frame. Very Good overall condition (the frame better), with a mirror-bright bore and is completely functional. Has decent wood "diamond" grips and a two-toned WWI-era 7-round magazine. Not import marked. U.S.A. Model THE VICTOR semiautomatic target pistol # ML14602 (.22 Long Rifle), mfg. by High Standard in 1973-4.  This is a large match-target pistol with gold highlights. Condition is Excellent-PLUS and comes with two 10-round magazines. Wooden form-fitting grips has a couple bumps but is sound.  Not import marked, VERY impressive and quite scarce.
