BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # AA5743 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in 1947. Excellent condition, with most stoving intact on external finish. Forend and buttstock obviously new replacements, correct No.5 bolt not matching Has very strong and mostly bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Includes unmarked olive-green web sling. COLOMBIAN Model 47 bolt-action rifle # 4666-58 (.30-06),  mfg. by Madsen in 1958.   Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% original black-painted finish, bore is mirror-perfect.  Stock has no apparent wear. This was the last military bolt-action designed for general use (complete with very effective muzzle-break and recoil-pad), not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $1450.       C&R       

CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # D11742 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in c.1937.  Excellent-PLUS or better arsenal-refurbished condition, with full bluing on all metal parts. All matching serial numbers (bolt electropenciled to match), top of chamber has remnants of two-tailed rampant Czech lion that mostly was ground off during refurb. Bore is quite bright and very strong. Walnut stock looks new with a few compressions and light scratches. Includes cleaning rod and front sight protector. PHOTOS . . . $725.    C&R  

CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # D53493 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in c.1937. Excellent condition with full bluing remaining and beautifully bold two-tailed rampant lion atop chamber. The bore is quite strong and very bright. Matching straight bolt and stock, no other numbered parts. CZECH Model vz52/57 semiautomatic rifle # GR39232 (7.62x39) mfg. by CZ Bystrica in 1959. Excellent-PLUS condition, virtually UNISSUED with all original gray Parkerized blued finish intact and a mirror-bright and very strong chrome-lined bore. Serial number on bolt actuator does not match but this cannot be seen without handguard removal. FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 116209 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1896 on a hex receiver with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank and S44932 Civil Guard marking on right side of barrel-shank (Lounais Häme, in Southwestern Finland).  Very Good condition with 70% fading bluing on all metal parts. Bolt matching, magazine-floorplate and buttplate scrubbed. Bore is strong and somewhat bright (has NOT been counterbored). Two-piece Russian buttstock and handguard has beautiful marbled grain with some scuffs and scrapes from actual use. Includes wire sling-swivels and cleaning-rod. Not import-marked. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 55230 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1944.  Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing on all metal parts with a round receiver and and a beautiful mirror-bore. Has hooded post front sight, 5230 stamped on bolt knob (matching). Finn two-piece stock has very few handling marks and literally looks as new. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 76613 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka  in 1934. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and an excellent somewhat bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 6613 (matching).  Stock has dings from handling and storage (but no cracks).  Scarce. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 77549 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka (undated) on a 1914 dated Izhevsk hexagonal receiver. Very Good condition with 70% or better bluing on all metal parts. Bolt-body numbered 77549 (matching), magazine-floorplate and buttplate not matching (as usual).  Bore is mirror-bright and very strong, (has NOT been counterbored). FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 28943 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka in 1934.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Bolt-body numbered 28943 (matching), S67538 (struck-through) on right side of barrel-shank (indicating the Viipuri civil guard district, now Viborg, Russia).  Stock has a couple dings on left side, else quite nice.  Very scarce. FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 10140 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by S.I.G. on an 1895-dated Izhevsk receiver. Good or better condition with little original bluing remaining on upper receiver or barrel, triggerguard and magazine-floorplate has full blued finish. Bolt-body numbered 17107 (not matching),  Civil Guard # on right side of barrel-shank stamped S7219 (Civil Guard district of Raasepori, aka Raceborg, a town in South Western Finland).  Two-piece stock has some handling-marks, handguard looks new, missing cleaning rod.  PHOTOS . . . $550.    Antique, no FFL required      SOLD

FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 46594 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1936 on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking.  Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Bolt not numbered, S76409 on right side of barrel-shank (Savonlinna Civil Guard district, a town in South East Finland).  Stock has a couple dings on left side, else quite nice.  Very scarce. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 32877 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by Tikka on a post-1898 receiver. Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with detached June 2nd, 1979 dated Finn arsenal tag. 100% bluing with a mint mirror-bright bore. Bolt-knob numbered 2877 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate scrubbed. Transitional buttstock (sharply pointed fingers) is most literally AS NEW and flawless, includes cleaning rod. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 35418 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by Fabrique National  on a 1905 dated Tula hexagonal receiver. Excellent-PLUS condition with full original bluing (looks unissued). Bolt-knob stamped 7400 (NOT matching). Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, includes cleaning-rod. Postwar stock (squared finger joints) has a couple minor nicks and dings from adjacent rifles but otherwise looks new. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 302739 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by SAKO in 1968, receiver date ground. Excellent condition, with 95% dark bluing with gorgeous mirror-bore and matching bolt-knob.  Two-piece  postwar (square-jointed) birch stock with a few handling-marks. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 304108 (7.62x54R), barrel by SAKO in 1969. Excellent-PLUS condition, with full bluing on all parts and very strong markings. Bolt-knob stamped 4108 (matching), left side of barrel-shank stamped 7.62x53R, top of chamber stamped AV1. Bore is mirror-bright with perfect rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Finn two-piece postwar stock (squared finger-joints) has a couple very light nicks from handling but is sound and looks as-new. Includes cleaning rod. Quite rare date, interesting caliber marking, showing that this rifle was intended for commercial sale in Finland. PHOTOS . . . $1325.      C&R   

FRENCH Model 16 Berthier bolt-action carbine # G36154 (8x50R) mfg. by Chattelerault with replacement 1932 dated Chattelerault barrel. Very Good condition, with much remaining bluing and a mostly bright, very strong bore. All visible numbered parts except triggerguard stamped G36154 (matching), top of barrel and receiver stamped N, has magazine extension for 5 round clip. Walnut stock banged up but sound with no cracks, includes correct leather sling.  Not import-marked, functional.  PHOTOS . . . $475.  C&R       SOLD

FRENCH Model 1907-15 M34 Berthier bolt-action cartridge carbine # F32888 (converted to 7.5x54mm) originally mfg. by St, Etienne in c.1915 with 1936 dated Tulle barrel. Excellent condition, most remaining black enamel finish on metal parts. All serialized parts including triggerguard matches. Bore is strong and mirror bright, stock is very attractive. GERMAN Model Karbiner 88 bolt-action Commission carbine # 7178g (8x57i) mfg. by Erfurt in 1893. Very Good condition, with 80% thinning and browning bluing. All matching serial numbers throughout.  Unit marking B. 2. U. 3. 46. on left side of front muzzle-cap. Bright and strong bore (marked with S).  Walnut stock has clear Imperial cartouches and has some handling marks from actual use. and gouges (but no cracks). GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 5969d (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1918.  Very Good PLUS condition, metal has most bluing.  Bolt scrubbed (likely by the Turks), all parts except for bolt matches receiver serial number. Turkish crescent-moon stamped above chamber. Has a very strong and somewhat bright bore, with original totally-functional "roller coaster" rear sight. Includes cleaning rod. Beech buttstock has the expected handling marks and dings, with German Imperial cartouches on right side. Extremely attractive, and ideal for WWI re-enactors. PHOTOS . . . $675.*       C&R      SOLD

PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # D5085 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Excellent condition with full bluing, all-matching serial numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original finish (browning in  places) with a nice mirror-bright bore, includes cleaning-rod. Stock has very few handling marks and a small arsenal repair at front of triggerguard. Includes hinged muzzle-cap. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were slightly shortened and rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.   PHOTOS . . . $850.    C&R    

SPANISH Model FR-8 Mauser bolt-action tactical carbine # FR8-28228 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by La Coruņa in 1952. Excellent condition, with 98% Parkerized metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Matching serial numbered bolt (no other parts numbered), crest atop receiver extremely clear. Includes correct web sling. Wood has original finish and is quite handsome with just a few minor dings. SWEDISH Model 94/14 bolt-action Mauser carbine # 101846 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1918. Near Excellent condition, about 85% or better external bluing with near-perfect mirror-bore, top of barrel shows the most wear.  Bolt (and all bolt parts), magazine floorplate and buttplate numbered 846 (matching), barrel bands have different numbers. Beech buttstock and handguard has many scuffs and dings from the past Century of use, has attached leather sling-buckle on right side. Has muzzle extension (required for importation). SWEDISH Model AG42B Ljungmann semiautomatic rifle # 10252 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1943. Excellent condition with 95% or better original bluing. Includes cleaning-rod, bore is excellent and mirror-bright with a 6.48/0 stamped bore-disk. Wood is beech with a few of the usual handling-marks. SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin cavalry carbine # 239933 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1955. All-matching serial numbers, Excellent or better condition with full original bluing remaining and a near-perfect mirror-bore. Beech stock and handguard has original finish and the usual scuffs and handling marks and dated II 50 under buttplate. TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 193356 (8x57) rearsenaled by Kirkkale (Ankara) arsenal in 1944, a large-ring Mauser with straight bolt.  Excellent condition, with all bluing remaining on all external metal. Rear sight, triggerguard and bolt serial numbered 3356 to match receiver (other numbered parts not matching, as usual). U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 1507416 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1937 with RA 10-42 dated replacement barrel (by Remington).  Excellent condition with all external Parkerized surfaces remaining, bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (TE =1.0, ME = 1.5).  Has some very light dings on stock but has original finish and has never been sanded, bottom of pistol grip has R 54 stamp. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # E1432 (8x57) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent-PLUS condition, essentially UNISSUED! This is a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces with no apparent wear and a razor sharp mirror-bore. Bold Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All matching serial numbers, with milled triggerguard and magazine-floorplate and straight bolt handle.
