ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # N2716 (7.65x53) mfg. by Loewe in 1896.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98+% bluing on all parts.  Crest above chamber has been ground (as usual).  All matching serial numbers EXCEPT bolt. Bore is very strong and mirror-bright. Matching walnut stock and handguard has quite vivid tigerstripe figure with correct forest-green leather sling in excellent condition. AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 1362R (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916. Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 100% or better bluing. Bore is very dark and rough (from firing corrosive ammo without properly cleaning afterwards). Will still shoot good, just will take more time to clean. Top of bolt-knob stamped 1362 (matching).  Stock has the usual scuffs and other usual handling-marks, handguard has had long crack repaired at the arsenal in a novel fashion (see pix). AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action steutzer carbine # 1083Q (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1907 as a long rifle, and shortened to carbine configuration in the early 1930's. Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 100% or better bluing. Bore is very bright and strong. BRITISH Pattern 14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # 303623 (.303 British) mfg. by Remington in c.1915. Excellent condition with 95% or better oil-blacked finish. Bore is strong and quite bright, top of bolt numbered 303623 (matching), R stamped on bottom of handle. Walnut stock looks as new with a couple minor scuffs.  Not import marked, by far the finest example of this rifle we have ever handled.  PHOTOS . . . $1250. *      C&R     SOLD

BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 20C7012 (.303 British) mfg. at Savage in 1942  Very Good condition, no external finish remaining on metal but has an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 2-groove barrel.  Rifle is US PROPERTY marked, all parts Savage marked (including unnumbered magazine). Bolt handle is matching with 1-marked bolt head, stock also fully matching with Ishie screw in left side.  Rear sight is the milled ladder variety. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # PF310653 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in November 1953  Near Excellent condition, most painted (stoving) finish on all metal parts worn at sharp edges with an excellent mirror-bright bore and a 4-groove barrel. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # Z2761 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in January 1947. Excellent condition, with most stoving intact on external finish. All matching serial numbers including forend, magazine and bolt handle.   Has very strong and mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. CHINESE Model  "Chiang Kai-Shek" Mauser bolt-action rifle # V8894 (8mm), mfg. in 1940's. Basically a copy of the Mauser "Standard Modell" short rifle with fingergroove stock and straight bolt in Fair to Good condition with no remaining bluing.  Markings weak, no matching serial numbers, bore is dark, rough and looks shot out to me. Stock and handguard shows some hard use but is sound, cartouche on right side, painted Chinese characters on left.  No cleaning rod. PHOTOS . . . $325.   C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 32399 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by VKT in 1942 on a 1914 dated Izhevsk receiver.  Excellent condition with 98% bluing and mirror-bright near perfect bore. Bolt-body stamped 32399 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate (the only other numbered parts) scrubbed (as usual).    One-piece stock has only a few scuffs and scratches. Bolt-body stamped 42464 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate (the only other numbered parts) scrubbed (as usual).    One-piece stock is a little beat up but sound with no cracks. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # iCH5023 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1940 with [SA] Finn property-mark on left side of barrel-shank.    Excellent condition, with 95% bluing and a strong, mirror bright bore that has NOT been counterbored at muzzle. Bolt-body stamped ИЧ5053 (matching) and has Soviet hooded post front sight.  Soviet one-piece stock has one gouge on bottom and a long scratch on left side. POLISH Gewehr 88/05 Commission bolt-action rifle # 1912 (8x57JS) mfg. by Danzig in 1889. Excellent condition, a Turkish refurb with full remaining bluing and retaining its metal barrel-jacket, magazine altered in 1905 to utilize regular stripper-clip loading. No matching numbers (as usual).  Receiver is S-marked, bore is mirror-bright and very strong. WWI Polish marking Ż atop chamber (Danzig is now known as the Polish city of Gdansk).  Front band unit-marked 96.R.11 25.   Walnut stock was lightly sanded long ago and is a little scuffed-up but sound (German cartouches faintly visible on right side and bottom).  Rear sight re-graduated with Western numbers. Completely functional, I would not hesitate to shoot this (however I DO NOT recommend any firing military ammo in it, only modern U.S.-manufactured commercial loads). SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 10431 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1924 as a Dragoon upgraded to 91/30 standards.     Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All numbered parts stamped 10431 (matching). Bore quite bright with sharp rifling Stock is beautiful with a few minor scuffs in the finish. Includes cleaning rod and correct web sling with leather "dog collars". It appears that the 4 in the date is struck over a 3, indicating that this was one of the very first rifles made in 1924.    PHOTOS . . . $475.*     C&R    

SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 21836 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1928 as a Dragoon upgraded to 91/30 standards with 6-line legend including CCCP.   Excellent condition, and arsenal refinished example with full bluing intact, bore mirror-bright with sharp rifling All numbered parts stamped 21836 (matching)One-piece Russian stock has some scrapes and dings in the finish. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # NZ2635 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1941.     Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All numbered parts stamped 2635 (matching).  Bore very bright with sharp rifling (has been counterbored at muzzle for increased accuracy).  One-piece Russian stock has some scrape marks in shellac finish. SOVIET Model 44 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # NCH979 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1944. Excellent refurbished condition, with mirror-bright bore.  All numbered parts stamped 979 (,matching). SWISS Model 96/11 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull cavalry rifle # 258397 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1900.  All-matching serial numbers including magazine.  Excellent condition with all bluing remaining (likely reblued, as it is just too perfect). Walnut stock and handguard has original finish with a few dings and handling marks, a small bear (for BERN, the Swiss Canton and capital of Switzerland) stamped on top flat of butt near buttplate.   PHOTO  . . . $575.*     C&R   

SWISS Model K11 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull cavalry carbine # 98144 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1921. All-matching serial numbers including magazine.  Near Excellent condition with most original bluing remaining except at corners and edges (bluing on magazine floorplate and triggerguard browned from carry) and a near-perfect mirror-bore.  Walnut stock and handguard has original finish, includes correct sling and muzzle cap.  PHOTO  . . . $650.     C&R   

SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin cavalry carbine # 642524 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1941. All-matching serial numbers, Near Excellent or better condition with full original bluing remaining and a near-perfect mirror-bore. Walnut stock and handguard has original finish and the usual scuffs and handling marks and dated VI 37 under buttplate, with soldier's tag.  PHOTO . . . $675.*      C&R     SOLD

YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # M4795 (8mm) mfg. by Steyr during WWII and refurbished (and restamped) at Zastava after the war. Good or better condition, a large-ring standard length Mauser with no original bluing and a dark and rough bore (that may "shoot clean").  Strong Tito-era crest above chamber, no matching serial numbers with a bent-handled bolt, Stock has red-glued laminate grain.
