ALBANIAN Model SKS semiautomatic rifle # 0732-78 (7.62x39) mfg. at Umgramsh military arms factory in 1978. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on metal (wear evident only on corners and sharp edges). Bolt carrier and bolt cover have different serial numbers, else all matching numbers, with near-perfect mirror chrome-lined bore. A clean example with some dings, compressions and scratches on the stock from handling. Includes folding trefoil spike-bayonet, correct sling and cleaning rod, cleaning kits in butt-trap. ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # B8703 (7.65x54) mfg. by Ludwig Loewe in 1892.  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% or better bluing (with vivid fire-blue remaining on several small parts), national crest neatly removed (as usual) and short handguard. All matching serial numbers (including stock and cleaning rod), bore is excellent and bright with very strong rifling, some light rust on buttplate. Stock has original finish with some dings and handling marks from actual use over the last 130 years. Not import-marked.  PHOTOS. . . $950.*   Antique, no FFL required    

CANADIAN Enfield No.4 Mk.1* bolt-action rifle # 47L1845 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch arsenal in 1941. Near Excellent condition, with close to full original finish on all metal parts and an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 2-groove barrel. Bolt bolt is matching with 2-marked bolt head. Stock has some handling marks from actual use, arsenal repair at heel, Ishapore screw across forend for added strength. Rear sight is the milled ladder type,  PHOTO . . . $725.    C&R      SOLD

CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 840V4 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in 1935.  Good or better condition with not much bluing remaining and two-tailed rampant lion atop chamber. The bore is quite strong but not very bright.  Mismatched straight bolt, no other numbered parts.  Includes cleaning-rod, buttstock and handguard a bit battered but sound with no cracks. EGYPTIAN "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 38180 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1965.   Excellent condition, with full original blued finish and a mirror-bright very strong bore. Beech stock and handguard has a couple handling marks (mostly from adjacent rifles) from transportation and storage.  One of the nicest un-refinished examples of these I have ever encountered.  PHOTOS . . . $1250.*    C&R       SOLD

FRENCH Model 1949-56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # G33502 (7.5x54) with APX L806 scope and mount manufactured at St. Etienne in c.1965.  Excellent-PLUS, essentially as-issued condition, with all Parkerizing intact and very little signs of wear. Has great mirror-bright bore. Includes full compliment of accessories, including three 10-round magazines, bayonet & scabbard, night sights, sling, rubber buttpad, a litany of leather pouches and tools, and leather hard case for the scope and mount. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5796h (8x57mm) mfg. by Mauser Borgiswalde  (factory code 243) in 1938.  A Russian Capture rifle refurbished to Excellent condition.  Bore is very sharp and quite bright. Has stylized Weimar eagles (with closed wings) on left side but three Nazi eagles (with open wings holding swastika) on the right.  Laminated stock with flat buttplate  has many handling marks and legible eagle/H stamps on right side.  Includes reproduction cleaning rod, all inscribed numbers matching.  PHOTOS . . . $950.   C&R     SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5904m (8x57) mfg. by Sauer & Son (code 147) in 1940.   Very Good or so condition, with maybe 50% faded bluing.  Totally a mixmaster with no matching serialized parts, byf-marked triggerguard and magazine floorplate are stamped,  Has small Nazi eagles holding swastikas on left side, markings atop receiver weak but legible. Bore is somewhat bright with pronounced lands and grooves. Buttstock is laminated with cupped buttplate.  Includes repro cleaning-rod, original locking-screws, with Yugoslavian leather sling with buckle. Not import marked.   PHOTO . . . $725.    C&R    SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1015a (8x57) mfg. by Sauer & Son (code ce) in 1941.   Very Good or better condition, with maybe 80% bluing.  Totally a mixmaster with no matching serialized parts and stamped front barrel band,  Nazi eagles holding swastikas on left side are both defaced, markings atop receiver very bold.   Bore is extremely bright and strong. Buttstock is laminated with cupped buttplate, and gas two cross-bolts at wrist for added strength.  Includes repro cleaning-rod and original locking-screws.   PHOTO . . . $800.    C&R   

JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle # 1881388 (6.5x50) mfg. at Tokyo in early 1910. Excellent condition with full original bluing, no matching serial numbers,  Has intact mum, includes mismatched metal dust cover, open ladder rear sights, and cleaning rod.   One-piece stock has original finish with some of the expected handling marks.  Bore is mostly bright and very strong, metal finish is superb. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 15680 (6.5x50) mfg. at Tokyo in early 1908.  Excellent condition with full original bluing, no matching serial numbers,  Has intact mum, includes mismatched metal dust cover, open ladder rear sights, protected front sights but missing cleaning rod.   Two-piece stock looks as if it has been cleaned with some of the expected handling marks and nicks. some tape residue on the right side where it appears a label has been removed.  Bore is bright and very strong, metal finish is superb. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 2, # 63761 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in mid 1942. Excellent condition with full original bluing, all matching serial numbers,  Mum is not ground but has two chisel cuts across it and is mostly visible.  Has the setup for the anti-aircraft rear sights, but I don't believe that the "wings"  were ever installed.  Same story with the monopod (which is missing) but it does include the cleaning rod.  Wood has original finish with very few handling marks. Chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong, metal finish is superb. Not import-marked.  PHOTO . . . $550.      C&R      SOLD

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 32, # 28341 (7.7x58) mfg. at Toyo Kogyo in early 1943. Excellent condition with full original bluing, no matching serial numbers (bolt and all bolt parts numbered 181) with  intact mum, includes mismatched metal dust cover, anti-aircraft rear sights, cleaning rod and original monopod.   Wood has been lightly refinished but was never sanded with very few handling marks (Kanji stamps on stock very clear). Chrome-lined bore is mirror-bright and very strong, metal finish is superb. Not import-marked, extraordinarily attractive. PHOTO . . . $750.      C&R  

SOVIET Model SKS-45 Simonov semiautomatic rifle # KT8530 (7.62x39) mfg. by Tula  in 1954.  An Excellent-PLUS refurbished example with 100% blue and a chromed mirror-bright bore. All matching serial numbers (bottom of magazine inscribed to match).  Shellacked solid buttstock has weak cartouches on left side. Includes correct web sling with cleaning-kit in butt-trap. PHOTOS . . . $1175.   C&R     SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 47212 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser  in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with aftermarket metal muzzle-cap to protect threads). Near Excellent or better condition, with 90% original bluing on most parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/2).  All-matching numbers except cleaning-rod (352). Walnut stock & handguard seems to have its original finish, with quite a few scrapes and nicks from contact with other rifles. PHOTOS . . . $575.*     C&R     SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 283395 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1911 with straight bolt and unthreaded muzzle.  Very Good condition, with 75% or better faded bluing on all major parts. Has strong markings and a bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/1).  All visible serial numbered parts matching, rear-sight has a VÄSTERÅS wheel-type insert.  Streaked walnut stock & handguard has a few minor scuffs and handling-marks.  PHOTOS . . . $625.   C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model 1917 bolt-action rifle # 501436 (.30-06) made by Eddystone in April 1918 with E 4-18 barrel.   Near Excellent condition, with nearly full bluing remaining on all external metal. Bore is mirror bright and very strong (TE = 2.0, MW = 1.25).  Stock and handguard a little rough, but intact.  Completely functional and very high quality for these,  From the Department of  Civilian Marksmanship  program, obtained from a Camp Perry match in 1996 (pre-COA), not import-marked. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1907110 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in September, 1943 with replacement SA 9-54 dated NATIONAL MATCH barrel.   Excellent-PLUS condition with full gray Parkerized finish on all metal, bore is exceptional and mirror-bright (TE = 1.5, MW = 0.50).   Has NM op-rod and both NM front (0.62) and rear (hooded) sights for extreme accuracy.  Is stocked in a fancy-wood Fajen custom stock and handguards with Pachmeyer White Line recoil pad and black web sling.  Not import-marked, absolutely beautiful.  PHOTOS . . . $1625.    C&R    SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2140879 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in November 1943 with SA 1-51 replacement barrel.  A Tooele Army depot 7-64 rebuild in Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish on all metal and having a bright and very strong bore with tight muzzle (TE = 1.0, MW = 0.0).  Has walnut buttstock with faint eagle over stars cartouche on left side and some rather moderate handling marks on the wood. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 4722790 (.30-06) mfg. by Harrington & Richardson in 1954 with SA 10-42 barrel.  An Excellent example with nearly full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal (microscopic pitting on back of receiver, outside of barrel faded) and having a bright bore (TE = 3.0, MW = 3.5).  Has all SA-marked small parts, op-rod is NOT relieved. Walnut buttstock and handguards has painted rack number. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5583624 (.30-06) mfg. by Harrington & Richardson in 1956 with HRA 3-55 barrel.  An Excellent-PLUS example with full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having a very tight bright bore (TE = 1.0, MW = 1.0). Has all SA-marked small parts, op-rod is relieved. This is a Greek return to the Civilian Marksmanship Program, with the name Antonis neatly carved in Greek on the right side of its Walnut buttstock. Strong DOD cartouche on left side of stock, an extremely attractive example. Not import-marked, unfortunately the CMP certificate is not present.    PHOTOS . . . $1250.      C&R      SOLD

U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5642102 (.30-06) mfg. by Harrington & Richardson in 1956 with HRA 4-55 barrel.  An Excellent-PLUS example with full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having a very tight bright bore (TE = 1.0, MW = 1.5). Has all SA-marked small parts, HRA marked op-rod is relieved. This is a Greek return to the CMP, and is essentially UNISSUED as far as metal goes (and much remaining original cosmoline present).  Strong DOD cartouche on left side of stock, but has numerous scrapes and scratches from storage and transport (but no actual signs of wear).   An extremely attractive example. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing, perfect bore and all-matching numbers with integral bayonet, non-ported grenade-launcher and night-sights.
