EAST GERMAN Makarov semiautomatic pistol # EX0486 (9x18) mfg. by Ernst Thaelmann in 1964.  Excellent condition with only a hint of  holster rub at sides of muzzle.  Mirror-perfect chrome-lined bore and chamber, external bluing gorgeous. GERMAN Model P1 semiautomatic pistol # 019626 (9mm) mfg. by Walther in August 1979.  Excellent-PLUS condition having virtually no apparent wear with mirror-perfect bore and chamber. This is the modernized version of the Walther P38 with an alloy-frame. Original black grips, one magazine with slightly-used black-leather full-flap holster and original test-target. . . AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # A57091 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1919, Lithgow replacement-barrel dated 10-45.  Near Excellent condition with gorgeous mirror-bright bore and shield-logo on receiver. Bolt matching receiver, rear-sight and nose-cap is unnumbered. Buttstock has yellow letters T over 279 on bottom of wood and green stripe around butt, with some clear cartouches on right side. Some of the expected handling-marks on wood, but overall an attractive example.  PHOTOS . . . $275.  C&R  

AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # B14464 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1926, Lithgow replacement-barrel dated 9-44.  Very Good condition with slightly rough but strong bore and shield-logo on receiver. Stock only matching receiver, bolt and rear-sight is unnumbered, nose-cap not matching.  Magazine cut-off slot is present but cutoff-lever is as usual absent. Buttstock has Blunderbus crudely carved on the left side by a bored soldier. Some of the expected handling-marks on wood, but overall an attractive example. Between the Wars Lithgow Enfields are actually quite scarce.  PHOTOS . . . $240.  C&R  

BRITISH No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # X26542 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1915, Lithgow replacement-barrel dated 8-40.  Very Good condition with slightly rough but strong bore. All-matching numbers (including buttstock), rear-sight not numbered, Australian Defense Department (D↑D) stamped atop receiver. Magazine cut-off slot is present but cutoff lever is not.  Buttstock has several cartouches as well as unit-disc numbered 14 on right side and inset red-plastic disc bearing number 8 on left side. BRITISH No.5 Mk.1 "Jungle Carbine" Enfield bolt-action carbine #Q2609 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in August, 1945.   Very Good condition, most of the phosphate-blue intact if a bit browned. Solid bright bore, all-matching numbers except magazine, bolt has 0-marked bolt-head.  Wood decent for these, some arsenal-marks and scratches, one ding on left side of handguard. BRITISH No.5 Mk.1 "Jungle Carbine" Enfield bolt-action carbine #BD7931 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1945.   Very Good condition, most of the phosphate-blue intact if a bit browned. Absolutely gorgeous mirror-bore, all-matching numbers including magazine, bolt has 2-marked bolt-head.  Wood decent with some handling-marks and arsenal-markings. PHOTOS . . . $275.   C&R   SOLD

CZECH Model vz24 short rifle (8x57) mfg. by CZ in Brno circa 1938.  Russian-rearsenaled Romanian-contract rifles in EXCELLENT PLUS condition, with 100% strong bluing.  All have a straight-bolt electropenciled to match numbers stamped on receiver and stock, exceptional mirror-bright bores and good headspace.  Romanian royal crest above chamber has been scrubbed (done by the Romanians as soon as their kingdom fell in late 1947) and all have really gorgeous apparently-unissued walnut stocks with only a few, if any, handling-marks and slightly used VG to Excellent walnut handguards (with perhaps a small dovetailed repair). These rifles include cleaning-rod, front sight-hood, a bayonet and scabbard in Excellent (rearsenaled) condition, with original used leather sling, ammo-pouch and cleaning-kit.  PHOTOS (several available) . . . $175.  C&R 

FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #48501 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1943 on a scrubbed receiver.  Excellent-PLUS condition with 100% external blue, a mirror-perfect bore and matching bolt-knob. Almost new two-piece buttstock and handguard having only a few small dings and a couple round arsenal-plugs with crossed-cannon cartouche on right side. Includes cleaning-rod and Finn wire sling-swivels. PHOTOS . . . $250.  C&R   SOLD

GERMAN Model 98/40 Huzagol bolt-action Mannlicher rifle #8181e (8mm) mfg. by  Femaru Fegever (FÉG, nazi code jhv) in  1942.  An unusual milsurp rifle with Mauser-style magazine and Mannlicher-style rotating bolt (the bottom of the bolt-knob flattened and checkered).  Very Good condition, most bluing worn. All-matching numbers (very unusual for these), bore is near-excellent and mirror-bright.  Two-piece wood has some minor scuffs and dings but is otherwise sound with strong eagle/swastika cartouche on right side. ITALIAN Model 91/24 Truppi Speciale Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action carbine #VI4214 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. as a long-rifle by Terni in 1916 and reconfigured into a carbine at Terni in 1924.   Very Good condition with 70-80% bluing and bold markings. Slightly grainy but strong bore. Buttstock likely matches receiver but was "decorated" with impressing the mouths of fired 6.5mm cases into both sides and has since been sanded since. No cleaning-rod, has sling swivels on side as well as bottom of stock Has been test-fired. PHOTOS .  . . $80.   C&R    SOLD

MEXICAN Model 1910 Mauser bolt-action rifle #60 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrica Nacionale de Armas in 1930.  Near Excellent condition, much of the bluing turned to brown.  All-matching numbers with a near-excellent and bright bore and completely functional. Brass arsenal-tag tacked on bottom of stock, nice bold Mexican coat of arms above chamber. Includes cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R   SOLD

RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #17373 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1922 (with PCFCP-marked barrel-shank).  Good-VG condition with 50% bluing on upper-receiver and barrel, essentially no remaining finish on triggerguard-magazine-floorplate.  Stamped "MADE IN U.S.S.R." on top-flat of receiver (indicating likely usage during Spanish Civil War).  No matching numbers (as usual for these), bore surprisingly bright and distinct, includes cleaning-rod and handmade bent-wire sling-swivels. Wood has usual handling-marks as well as several small areas on both sides plugged with filler (appears to be possible shrapnel-damage). PHOTOS . . . $200.  C&R

SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle #59954 (6.5x55), mfg. by Mauser in 1900.  Very Good Plus condition, with 90% bluing (thinning on exposed part of barrel, magazine-floorplate and triggerguard from carry). Has a very sharp mirror-bright bore (bore-disc indicating 6.53/3).  All-matching numbers throughout (954, cleaning-rod not numbered). Beech stock & handguard has original finish, with a couple repaired scratches on left side and normal handling-marks otherwise. PHOTOS . . . $225.  C&R   

SWEDISH Model 38 short rifle #152476 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1905.  Excellent PLUS condition, with 99% strong bluing and a virtually perfect bore, bore-disk stamped 6.49/0.  Has straight-bolt, all-matching numbers except T-marked rear-sight (magazine-floorplate and triggerguard unnumbered having small crowns instead).  Lovely walnut stock and handguard with some tigerstripe-figure and just a couple scuffs.
