BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.2 Lee-Enfield bolt-action rifle # A16492 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in 1955.   Excellent-PLUS condition, with over 98% original Suncorite painted finish, all matching numbered parts (bolt, forend, top of butt, magazine and bolt handle) stamped A16492 (matching).   Has a gorgeous mirror 4-groove bore with 1-marked bolt-head, rear sight is of the milled ladder type.  SHORT beech stock and handguards have a few very light dings, else as new.  Includes web-sling in very good condition.  PHOTOS . . . $1250      C&R     

FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action DRAGOON rifle # 168597 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1896 with [SA] Finn property-mark on left side of barrel-shank.  Good to Very Good condition with 50% or better remaining bluing, bore is strong and mostly bright (has been counterbored at muzzle), Bolt stamped 168597 (matching). Includes cleaning-rod.    This rifles illustrated at http://7.62x54r.com/MosinID/0102_small.jpg. Top of receiver flat has Berndorfer bear stamp (Austrian capture proof from WWI). FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action DRAGOON rifle # 11530 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1897 but no [SA] Finn property-mark anywhere.  Original serial number 209498 has been lined out and D has been added to barrel shank (a Finn feature).  Excellent condition with 94% or better remaining bluing. Bore is strong and very bright (has been counterbored at muzzle), Bolt stamped 9954 (NOT matching). Includes cleaning-rod. FINN Model 27rv Mosin-Nagant bolt-action cavalry carbine # 73924 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1933 by Tikka on a hex receiver. Good to Very Good condition with around 40% bluing on metal. Has matching-numbered bent-bolt with checkered flat-bottomed handle and groove in stock to allow for it as well as German-style slot through stock for sling. Bore is very bright and extremely strong, includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece correct Finn stock has many dents and other handling marks and gouges from actual use, a cople nails in the bottom of butt so secure the mortice,  Not import-marked, extremely rare and only one of two 27rv carbines I have ever encountered with a matching-numbered bolt.   PHOTOS . . . $4500.     C&R    SOLD

FINN Model 27 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 23827 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1928 on an 1895 dated Tula receiver.   Near Very Good  condition with 60% or so bluing remaining and a somewhat bright and strong bore.  No matching serial numbers (but bolt has wings on connector, which is  proper for an early Model 27) with a window type slider on rear sight. FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 65966 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1939 on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Bolt knob numbered 5966 (matching)  S106971 on right side of barrel-shank (Jyvaskyla Civil Guard district in Western part of the Finnish lakeland). GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1928g (8x57) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz) in 1941.  Excellent condition (not a Russian capture), with nearly 100% bluing and pinged Nazi markings. Has stamped barrel bands and triggerguard, all other small parts milled. The bore is mostly bright and quite strong. Triggerguard stamped byf, barrel bands numbered 1928 (matching), bolt serial # has been ground.  Buttstock is laminated with cupped buttplate. HUNGARIAN Model 53 Mosin-Nagant PU SNIPER bolt-action rifle # BC5432 (7.62x54R), mfg. by F.E.G. in 1953.  Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on metal and really nice, mirror-bright and strong bore. An all-Hungarian sniper with all matching numbers and 41-code (Hungarian) 1954-dated PU-type scope numbered to this rifle. Buttstock has zero handling-marks and only a couple streaks in the ghrain. Includes cleaning-rod and 02-marked sling, as well as leather lens-caps and cloth scope cover with leather straps. Rare, not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $2750.*     C&R     SOLD

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 1, # 18353 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in October 1941 - March, 1942. Excellent or better condition with full original high-gloss bluing, all matching serial numbers,  Mum is heavily ground,  Has ladder-type peep rear sight with aircraft wings, monopod, cleaning rod, and un-numbered metal action cover, Also includes plastic spring-loaded muzzle cover and likely reproduction leather sling.   Wood has original finish with very few handling marks. NORWEGIAN Model 1912/16 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action carbine # 4695 (6.5x55) mfg. by Kronsburg Vapenfabrikk in 1915, with correct bayonet and scabbard. Near Excellent condition, with 80% original bluing, all-matching numbers (except bayonet & scabbard, which match each other), cleaning-rod present, very strong markings, and a really gorgeous bright-bore. Leather sling is possibly a reproduction, includes rare brass muzzle cap. Stock and handguard appears to have its original finish along with the expected dings from actual use.  These are very rare carbines, with only a few thousand having been made and few survived the Nazi occupation during WWII, not import marked. ROMANIAN Model 1891 Mosin Nagant bolt-action infantry rifle # N359975E (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1908 on an 1898-dated Tula receiver. Barrel shank re-dated 1916 when this rebuilt rifle was transferred to the Romanians during WWI, crown of King Ferdinand of Romania stamped beneath date.  Excellent condition, with nearly full bluing and all matching serial numbers on all numbered parts. Bore is somewhat bright with very strong rifling. Stock has many handling marks, with a splinter developing on left side by receiver, includes cleaning rod.  Very rare variety. ROMANIAN Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant bolt-action infantry rifle # AC5053 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Cugir in 1955. Excellent condition, with full bluing and blade front sight. Buttplate and magazine floorplate numbered AC5053 (matching),  bolt is numbered 5659 and does not match.   One of the RAREST Mosin Nagant rifles in the entire series, this very rifle is discussed (and photographed) in detail at  http://7.62x54r.com/MosinID/MosinM9130R.htm. Bore is mirror-bright. Stock has many scrapes. scuffs and heavy handling-marks, and has been spliced at forend (using a M44 buttstock). Bore is a bit dark with pronounced rifling (has been counterbored at muzzle to increase accuracy). RUSSIAN Model 1907 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 7864 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1909.  Very Good or better condition with most bluing remaining on external metal. Bore is mostly bright with pronounced rifling (has NOT been counterbored). All numbered parts stamped 7864 (matching),  Buttstock has some repaired cracks and zero finish. Includes cleaning rod. RUSSIAN Model 91/38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 2714 (7.62x54R) mfg. by  Izhevesk in 1904 with Serbian crown next to the arsenal mark. Was originally a Cossack rifle, with KA3 on barrel shank. Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore with strong rifling. All matching serial numbers including electro-penciled bolt.  M-44 buttstock (with bayonet groove) has very few handling marks and scuffs. Includes cleaning rod. SWISS Model K-11 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 33453 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1914 (first year of issue) and purchased out of service in 1937.  Very Good to Excellent condition with 80% or so original bluing (a few patches of verdigris) and a perfect, mirror bore. All-matching serial numbers including 6-round magazine. TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 4785 (8x57) rearsenaled by K. Kale (Ankara) arsenal in 1937, a large-ring ex Gew.98 Mauser with straight bolt.  Excellent condition, with all bluing remaining on all external metal, with WWI-era German proofs on both sides of the receiver. Rear sight is the only numbered part that is matching (as usual for these).  Bore is extremely bright and strong, completely functional, includes cleaning-rod.  Stock is beech and looks as new with very few handling marks, includes leather sling in decent condition..  PHOTOS . . . $575.*        C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action infantry rifle,  no serial  number, (7.62x54R) mfg. by Remington in 1916 with U.S,, eagle, and flaming bomb proofs on bottom of stock    Excellent condition, with nearly all bluing on all metal parts and a mirror bright bore with very strong rifling. All parts have R in circle stamps, but no parts are numbered.   Eagles and REMINGTON very boldly stamped.  American walnut buttstock has bold 1917-dated circular Russian Imperial cartouche on right side, very few handling marks and nearly as made,  Includes cleaning rod.    When the Bolsheviks took power in 1917 they defaulted on the remaining Remington contract before the rifles already produced were serialized. In order to prevent the bankruptcy of Remington the U.S. government purchased many from the outstanding contract and issued them as-is to reserve troops.   Not import marked, outstanding condition.  PHOTOS . . . $1450.*     C&R      SOLD

U.S.A. Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 1302162 (7.62x54R) mfg. by New England Westinghouse in 1915 with straight logo with eagle and flaming bomb U.S. property-mark on barrel-shank and bottom of stock.   Excellent condition with full bluing. Bore is extremely bright and has pronounced rifling.  Bolt body, magazine floorplate and buttplate stamped 1302162 (matching).   Includes cleaning-rod and metal sling swivels.  One-piece stock has very few handling marks, with bold circular 3AKABb AHΓΙΠͶCKͶΛ (English Contract) cartouche on left side, includes web sling with leather "dog collar" keepers.  Was issued to reserve troops during the waning days of WWI.  Not import marked, quite fantastic condition, as nice as these ever come.  PHOTOS . . . $1750.*      C&R     SOLD

U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3996165 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in 1943 with RA 8-44 barrel.  Excellent refinished condition with 95% or better high-gloss bluing on all metal. Front sight has been replaced with LYMAN aperture sight, rear sight has been replaced with commercial WILLIAMS aperture peep sight, otherwise as issued.  Bore is very sharp and bright. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 4202482 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in February 1944. Excellent or better condition with 98% or better gray Parkerizing on all metal. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2448741 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in January, 1944 with SA 5-43 barrel.  Excellent condition with mostly full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having an excellent bore (TE = 4, ME = 2.0). A decent serviceable Garand with mostly original Springfield parts except for IHC trigger-group, WRA trigger guard and HRA safety, Decent ice walnut buttstock and handguards has only a few dents and handling marks from actual use and web-sling. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K67199 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1951. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing and a sharp mirror-bore. Bold Tito-era crest above chamber, all-matching serial numbers except for left side of stock (49954) with all milled small parts. Bent bolt has flattened bottom.
