AUSTRALIAN SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # C24604 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow in 1941. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better oil-blacked finish. February 1942 dated barrel with very bright and strong bore. Bolt handle, rear sight and nose-cap stamped C24604 to match receiver. Walnut stock and handguards has many dings and scrapes but is sound, right side has 1942 dated Lithgow cartouches. Rear handguard has not been shortened and and has a chip but no repairs. BRITISH SMLE No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # 32582 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1907. Very Good or better condition with 80% or better oil-blacked finish. Has magazine cut-off and windage-adjustable rear sight. Nose-cap and bolt handle stamped 32582 to match receiver, rear sight not numbered. Has additional sling swivels on rear of nose-cap and by front of magazine. This early SMLE shows much evidence of Australian service, with 1-45 dated replacement Australian barrel (bore of which is mostly bright and strong), many Australian cartouches on right side of buttstock. BRITISH SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # Z77282 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1916. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better oil-blacked finish (a few rough areas). Bolt handle stamped Z77282 to match receiver, rear sight and nose cap not numbered. Shows much evidence of Australian service, with 5-45 dated replacement Australian barrel (mostly bright and strong), many Australian cartouches on right side of buttstock. BRITISH SMLE No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # M65195 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1941. Excellent condition with 90% or better oil-blacked finish. Has mirror bright and strong bore. Bolt handle, rear sight leaf and nose-cap stamped M65195 to match receiver. Top of barrel-flat stamped with eagle surrounded by ÖSTER GENDARMIE (Austrian police). Beech stock has a few minor dings and scrapes but is sound, rear handguard has usual Dutch-type repairs and has been shortened. Includes tattered olive-green web sling. Not import marked. BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 27C7047 (.303 British) mfg. at Savage in 1942 Near Excellent condition, mostly full finish remaining on external metal and has an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 2-groove barrel. Rifle is US PROPERTY marked, all serial numbers matching (including force-matched magazine) with 2-marked bolt head. Rear sight is the L-shaped flip variety. BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.1/2 bolt-action rifle # R35431 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby in 1944 and converted to the Mk.2 configuration at Fazakerly in 1952. Very Good condition, serial numbers of bolt and forend matches receiver, 4-groove bore extremely strong and mirror-bright. Rear sight is of the most recent milled ladder type. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # 3653 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazkerly in May 1944. Very Good or so condition, much oil-blacked finish remaining on external metal (no evidence of stoving). Bolt handle numbered 3653 (matching), no other parts numbered. Has very strong and mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 3-marked bolt-head. Stock has a few scuffs and compressions, includes correct web sling. CANADIAN Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 27L1191 (.303 British) mfg. at Long Branch in 1943. Near Excellent condition, with 905% painted finish (stoving) on external metal. Bolt numbered 27L1191 (matching), forend (the only other numbered part) mismatched. Has mirror-bright 4-groove bore and 0-marked bolt-head. Rear sight is of the stamped ladder type. Stock has some minor scrapes and dings from handling, but otherwise looks as new, arrow inside C cartouche of the CANADIAN ARMY on bottom of butt, Includes 1952-dated olive green web sling. All matching serial numbers on every numbered part (including magazine), has mirror-bright 4-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Stock has quite a few scrapes and dings from handling. INDIAN Model SMLE .410 musket # S50936. Originally a No.1 Mk.III* rifle mfg. by Ishapore in 1918 and converted to single-shot 2 1/2" chamber .410 shotgun by Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1948. Excellent condition, with all remaining bluing intact, all numbered parts matching and only a few handling marks in stock (usual arsenal repair at heel), rear handguard has the usual repaired cracks. NEW ZEALAND Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 21L8352 (.303 British) mfg. at Long Branch in 1943. Excellent condition, with 95% painted finish (stoving) on external metal. Bolt matches receiver, magazine and buttstock does not. New Zealand serial number 41218 on top of bolt handle and left side of receiver. Has mirror-bright 2-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # B4865 (7x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent condition, with 95% original deep bluing and all-matching serial numbers (including cleaning-rod) with weakly struck Chilean crest above chamber. Strong, extremely shiny bore, beautiful vivid tigerstriped walnut stock (with MF cartouche) has a few scuffs and handling-marks but original finish and has not been sanded. SWISS Model K31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 773205 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1943. All-matching serial numbers (including magazine). Near Excellent condition with 85% or better external bluing (thinning at edges) and a near-perfect, mirror bore. Wood is walnut with the usual usual handling marks in the finish. YUGOSLAVIAN Model M95M Mannlicher straight-pull short rifle # 46856 (8x57mm), made by Steyr (undated). Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing and a mirror-bright bore with very sharp rifling. All matching numbers, stock also stamped to match. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8842 (8mm) mfg. by the Nazis during WWII and rebranded at Zastava in c.1947/8. Near Excellent condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 90% or better bluing on all metal components and a rather dull but sharp bore. Top of receiver has Tito-era national crest, left side has PREDUZECE 44 and Mod 98. Bolt handle stamped 8842 (matching), left side of buttstock stamped 8842 (matching), magazine floorplate stamped 1850 (not matching). Stock is laminated with a couple scuffs and cupped buttplate.
