AUSTRALIAN No. 1 Mk. III* bolt-action rifle # F39623 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1953 (last year of production). Excellent-PLUS condition with full finish and bright and strong bore. BRITISH Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk. I bolt-action rifle # 22488 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms Co. in c. 1900. An undated commercial Long Lee in near Excellent overall condition with no military markings at all. Has fully blued finish with very bright and strong bore. This rifle still retains its front and rear volley-sights and has magazine cut-off still attached. Left of receiver states FOR CORDITE ONLY. Bolt is not matching receiver (as usual) but retains safety behind bolt-handle. Buttstock and handguards are walnut with very few of the expected handling-marks and compressions. Not import-marked. BRITISH Sht LE No. 1 Mk. I*** bolt-action rifle # ER5681 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms Co. in 1905. Very Good overall condition with mostly full finish and mostly bright and strong bore. This rifle still retains its front volley-sight and has charger-guide attached to the bolt head. Rear sight is windage-adjustable and has bone-inserts in sight slider-buttons. All serialized parts matches receiver except rear sight. BRITISH Sht LE No. 1 Mk. I* bolt-action rifle # P27110 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Enfield in 1903. This rifle has a long history, having originally been a "Long Lee" and then converted to the Mark II "short" configuration at Sparkbrook in 1905. It was then converted to ".22 Pattern 1914 No. 1" by Parker as a single-shot trainer. Very Good overall condition with mostly full finish and mostly bright and strong bore. Rear sight is windage-adjustable and has bone-inserts in sight slider-buttons. Nose-cap and rear sight matches receiver, bolt does not. BRITISH No. 8 Mk. I bolt-action single-shot training / target rifle # A22663 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms in 1951. This was a purpose-built single-shot trainer with heavy barrel. Excellent overall condition with full finish and mostly bright and strong bore. All-matching numbers, quite a scarce find these days. Excellent overall condition with very bright and strong bore. All matching numbers, front band painted a bright Yellow enamel. BRITISH Enfield "Jungle Carbine" copy. Was a No. 4 Mk. 1* bolt-action rifle # 17L3038 (.303 British) made by Long Branch in 1942 which has been "converted" into a Jungle carbine using British milsurp parts. Bogus CONV №5 NIC / CYP (converted to No. 5 in Nicosia, Cyprus) markings added to left side of receiver. No matching parts, bright and strong bore, otherwise in Good condition and interesting for what it is (and isn't). Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $325. C&R
CANADIAN Enfield No. 4 Mk. I* bolt-action rifle # 95L7862 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch arsenal in 1950 (last year of production). Excellent-PLUS condition, literally UNISSUED in full arsenal grease with full finish and no signs of ever having been issued or fired. All-matching numbers (except magazine) with a #0 marked bolt-head. Has stamped C-marked ladder rear sight. Walnut stock and handguards are sound with a few dings and handling-marks and is quite attractive. CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 3299577 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 26 in 1955. Excellent condition with 95% bluing on all metal parts, bore is excellent if not extremely bright. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 46671 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1932 by Tikka on a scrubbed hexagonal receiver. Near Excellent condition with 90% original bluing. Bolt-body matching, bore is quite strong and bright, includes cleaning-rod. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 3, # 76126 (7.7x58) mfg. by Toriimatsu factory of Nagoya Arsenal in c. 1939. Metal in excellent condition, with full original bluing and a gorgeous, mirror-bright chrome-lined bore, mum neatly ground, all matching serial numbers. Has aircraft rear sight, cleaning-rod and original monopod. Wood has original finish and has not been sanded, with a few of the expected dings from handling over the years. Not import-marked.
