ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # M3027 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing, crest has been ground off top of receiver (as usual). All metal parts numbered to receiver (including stock and cleaning-rod). Bore is excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has original finish with subtle tiger-striped figure, some dings and handling marks from actual public use. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $375. Antique, no FFL required SOLD
BRAZILIAN Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 7762Ji (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1910. Near Excellent condition with 90% bluing (receiver "in the white" which is proper). Straight bolt not matching, bore is mirror-bright with very strong rifling, muzzle has been professionally crowned. Detailed Brazilian crest above chamber, right side of receiver deeply stamped PM 01271 .16 (I am certain one of our customers will tell us what that means). Walnut buttstock and handguard has been lightly (and professionally) smoothed with few visible handling-marks and is quite pretty. No cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . $325. C&R SOLD
BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1* Enfield bolt-action rifle # 62C4019 (.303 British) mfg. by Savage-Stevens in 1943. Very Good condition, with evenly worn metal surfaces and an excellent mirror-bright 2-groove bore. Bolt not matching (but is close and correct) with 2-marked bolt-head, all parts marked with square-S (for Savage). US PROPERTY marked on receiver. Wood has some handling marks and standard butt. CHILEAN Model 1912 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # A4708 (7x57mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Steyr in 1912. Near Excellent condition, with 95% bluing (less on barrel-bands, receiver "in the white" as is proper) and a very strong mirror-bright bore. Serial numbers on rigger guard and magazine floorplate matching receiver, bolt and stock do not (usual for Chileans, as the bolts were stored separately from the rifles for safety). Wood was very lightly sanded to show off the subtle tiger-stripe figure, 1912-dated cartouche on left side of stock is quite bold and crisp. Includes cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . . $425. C&R SOLD
CHILEAN Model 1912-61 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # A5664 (arsenal rechambered to 7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Steyr in 1912. Near Excellent condition, with 95% bluing, receiver "in the white" as is proper, and a very strong mirror-bright bore. Serial numbers on rigger guard and magazine floorplate matching receiver, bolt and stock are not numbered. Wood was sanded to show off the vivid (and extremely attractive) streaked figure. CHINESE Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # P7267 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in 1937. A Good condition Chinese-contract Mauser with a very sharp mirror-bright bore. Matching bolt (!), external metal mottled from exposure to elements. Walnut stock is sound, much evidence of use throughout. Missing cleaning rod and front sight protector. PHOTOS . . . $425. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 26291 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by VKT in 1941 on a 1920's era receiver (Tula hammer on top flat). Good condition with very little existing bluing, typical of a well-used weapon that has not been rearsenaled. Bolt-knob numbered 6291 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate not matching (as usual). Bore is quite strong bright (and NOT counterbored). Missing cleaning-rod. Early wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has really pretty figured wood and quite a few handling marks from actual use but is sound without any cracks. PHOTOS . . . $375. C&R SOLD
ITALIAN Model 41 Mannlicher-Carcano infantry rifle # U6555 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1942. Excellent condition, with all external bluing intact, with turned-down bolt frem earlier carbine. PERUVIAN Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # R0169 (7.65x54) mfg. by DWM in 1901 with a 24" barrel. Very Good overall, with 80% weak bluing (turning brown with age) with a mostly-bright bore. Features lange-vizer (rollercoaster) rear-sight, very faint Peruvian crest (REPUBLICA PERUANA) atop chamber, no parts are matching, has bent-down bolt. Decent stock and handguard has the expected handling-marks from over a Century of use, includes cleaning rod. Not import-marked, this is only the third Peruvian short rifle we have ever handled (all with R-prefix). PHOTOS . . . $450. C&R
SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # PI1169 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1938. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. SWEDISH Model 96 Mauser bolt-action TARGET rifle # 885 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900. Excellent condition with matching bolt, bolt-parts and buttplate, remainder not matching. 95% original finish, decent wood with adjustable target pistol-grip affixed with two existing screws. lovely beech replacement stock and handguard with very few handling-marks. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 513874 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1925 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle. Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing on all major metal parts, less on barrel bands. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (bore disk replaced with inscribed aluminum disk). Bolt is an unnumbered arsenal replacement (never seen this before on a Swede), barrel-bands and buttplate matching receiver, remainder parts mismatched. TURKISH Model 1893 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 846 (8x57) originally made by Mauser in 1895/6 and rearsenaled by Ankara arsenal in 1933 and re-chamered from the original 7.65x53 cartridge. Very Good or better condition, with most bluing remaining on all external metal (browning at bottom and barrel bands from carry), receiver in the white. No matching serial numbers (but is correct straight bolt). Bore is extremely bright and strong, completely functional. Includes cleaning-rod. TURKISH Model 48 bolt-action "forestry" carbine # 917 (8x50R Lebel), originally mfg. as a FRENCH M-16 Berthier rifle by Saint Ettienne during WWI and converted to its current configuration in 1948. Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing, bore is extremely bright and strong. Bolt-body is matching, walnut Mannlicher-type stock has a 1 1/4 x 1/2" arsenal repair on left side and a 1 1/2" crack behind tang and other handling marks but is quite pretty. PHOTOS . . . $325. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 548217 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in April, 1942 with original SA 2-42 barrel. A Department of Civilian Marksmanship purchase (from 1981) in Excellent condition with full light gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror-bright and quite strong (TE = 2.0, MW = 2.0) and SA-marked parts except WRA trigger group, still retains its lock-bar rear sight. Walnut stock and handguard has a few of the usual dings and handling marks. faint A A cartouche (Augusta Arsenal) on left side. Not import-marked. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # J108 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1949. Excellent condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 98% or better original bluing on all metal components and a sharp mirror-bore. Very weakly struck Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. Bolt is matching, remainder of parts mismatched.
