Very Good condition with better than 80% original bluing except for triggerguard and magazine floorplate (brown from carry), all-matching serialized parts including sliding action cover). Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing, all-matching serial numbers, mum ground (as usual), includes cleaning rod. JAPANESE Type 44 Arisaka bolt-action cavalry carbine with folding spike-bayonet, 3rd variation, Series 1, # 00515 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura in c.1936. Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing on all major metal parts (smaller parts have intact "straw" color), very slight wear on magazine floorplate from carrying. Has intact mum, with all matching numbers on all serial-numbered parts (including sliding action-cover). Bore is mirror-perfect, includes jag tip and two segments of cleaning rod stored in butt of stock. This is BY FAR the finest example of a Type 44 carbine I have ever encountered, and worthy of the finest collection. Stock has original finish with only a few minor handling-marks. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle Series 8, # 42796 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in mid 1944. Excellent condition with most original finish intact. Bore is quite bright and rifling seems strong. Mum is intact. Has cylindrical bolt-handle with welded safety, bolt and all bolt parts numbered 796 to match receiver. No cleaning rod (not drilled for one), forend of stock a separate piece held together by barrel-bands, buttplate is wooden. Some scratches in stock finish but is sound. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 25 # 71533 (7.7x58) mfg. at Kokura in January-Fall 1945. Excellent condition with full original bluing, bolt and bolt parts numbered 533 (matching), intact mum. This type has fixed peep rear sight and inverted V front sight, no provision for cleaning rod, bore is not chrome-lined but is very bright with strong rifling. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 40 # 76790 (7.7x58) mfg. at Jinsen Arsenal (Inchon, Korea) in Summer 1945. Very Good or better condition with full original bluing (fading to brown). No matching serial numbers, mum lightly ground (mostly still visible). This type has fixed peep rear sight, cylindrical bolt handle with welded safety knob, wooden buttplate and no grooves on receiver for action cover and no provision for cleaning rod. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 3810 (6.5x55), mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with aftermarket metal thread protector). Excellent condition, with 95% or better original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.50/1). Bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 810 (matching), all other parts have various serial numbers (bolt-release lever stamped G.S.). Apparently this rifle (with a very low serial #) was reworked at Husqvarna in the early 1940's, as many of the parts are stamped with the distinctive "crooked crown" marking of that factory. SWEDISH Model 96 TARGET bolt-action Mauser rifle # 286842 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1911. All-matching serial numbers (un-numbered cleaning rod). Excellent condition with 90% bluing, bore is excellent (bore-disc marked 6.53/2). M7 Soderin micrometer rear-sight mounted on receiver bridge, hooded front-sight with target-circle insert. SWEDISH Model CG63 Mauser bolt-action TARGET rifle # 49896 (6.5x55) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1900 and converted to the match configuration at Carl Gustaf in the late 1960's. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% bluing, all serial numbers (except for magazine floorplate) mismatched (as these were usually assembled from parts). Near perfect, mirror bore, has a Carl Gustaf rear aperture sight and a aperture front sight that takes circular target inserts. SWEDISH Model 96/38B bolt-action Mauser infantry rifle # 210 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1908 with straight bolt and threaded muzzle (includes metal blank-firing attachment). Excellent condition, with full bluing, all parts numbered 210. All cutaway parts painted red for contrast, and all parts are fully operational (though obviously no attempt should be made to fire this).
