ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # H4731 (7.65x53) mfg. by Loewe in 1894.  Excellent PLUS condition, with 98% strong bluing with springs exhibiting a vivid fire-bluing. Crest has been scrubbed (as usual), all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is strong and mirror bright. Original walnut stock and short handguard has virtually flawless surfaces with original finish and bold cartouches. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $425.    Antique, no FFL required  

ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action Engineer's carbine # B4783 (7.65x53) mfg. by Loewe in 1893.  Excellent condition, with 93% strong bluing. Intact crest, all-matching numbers, bore is strong and mirror bright. Original walnut stock has few handling-marks, Dutch-type repair to butt. Not import-marked. ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K2956 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1910.  Excellent condition, with 93% bluing. Evidently an arsenal rework, as receiver is blued with clear Argentine crest above chamber. Matching bolt and triggerguard, but buttstock and cleaning-rod do not match receiver. Bore is very strong and mirror bright. Tigerstripe walnut stock has seen some use, with resultant handling-marks and compressions, but is quite pretty. Not import-marked. AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull long-rifle # 6745J (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916.  Excellent condition, as arsenal-refinished with 95% or more bluing and sharp mirror-bright bore. All matching numbers (# on buttstock restamped to match, bolt handle has stamped number), buttstock appears to be made of maple with some figure while handguard is of a lighter-colored beech, both have a few dings and handling-marks. Not import-marked, a decent example of this far from common infantry rifle.  PHOTOS . . . $350. C&R

BRAZILIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action long rifle # 5314 (7x57) mfg. by Mauser in 1937UNISSUED with 100% bluing and all-matching numbers. Perfect mirror-bore and fantastic detailed Brazilian crest above chamber. The very lovely PRISTINE walnut stock has only a couple minor scuffs but is otherwise AS-NEW with subtle tigerstripe figure in the grain. Complete with muzzle-cap, original leather sling, and matching-numbered bayonet with metal scabbard as well as somewhat brittle MAUSER test-target dated April 7, 1937. Not import-marked, simply astonishingly beautiful with Mauser BANNER on rear of receiver. PHOTOS . . . $1450.   C&R    SOLD

BRITISH Model No.4 Mk. I Enfield bolt-action rifle # E19035 (.303 British) mfg. by R.O.F. Maltby in 1941.  Excellent, with full  military stoving (glossy black paint) external finish on metal (except for near muzzle where bayonet attaches). Has an excellent 2-groove bore, all-matching numbers (un-numbered magazine) with 0-marked bolt-head.  Wood is beech with a grooved walnut rear-handguard which was refinished with an oil-type finish in the not too distant past (some old scuffs showing through). BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1/2 Enfield bolt-action rifle # A11585 (.303 British) mfg. during WWII and upgraded via FTR in 1954. Near Excellent, with 70-80% chipping military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. Has an excellent mirror-bright 5-groove bore, all-matching numbers (including magazine) with 2-marked bolt-head.  Wood is beech with decent military finish with small repair to heel.  This rifle has seen duty in India as it has auxiliary transverse screw in forend.  Includes 1943-dated web-sling.  PHOTOS . . . $200.   C&R  SOLD

CZECH Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4385e (8mm) mfg. by CZ, Brno in c.1947.  Excellent condition with 90% original bluing, no crest above chamber. Matching bolt, no other parts numbered.  Has stamped barrel-bands and large stamped "Winter" triggerguard.  Bore is mirror-perfect, stock is sound but a bit scuffed-up from handling, with TA 1116 scratched on right side. No cleaning-rod (stock does not have a channel to accept one), includes front sight-hood.  Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $350.   C&R 

CZECH Model vz52 semiautomatic rifle # R07051 (7.62x45) mfg. by CZ in 1956. An Excellent example with most original Parkerized finish intact and a gorgeous, mirror-bore. Handguard has little finish and a small crack (as usual), stock is exceptional. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $375. C&R   SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 7075K (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1917. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing.  All-matching numbers with a mirror-perfect bore. Wood is fiddleback walnut in excellent condition with only a few handling-marks, scrapes and compressions.  Not import-marked, a much nicer example than is usually encountered. DUTCH Model 48 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 92 (8mm) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1950 with crest above chamber having crowned J for Queen Juliana. Excellent-plus condition, appears to be UNISSUED with 100% bluing and all-matching numbers, City of Amsterdam Police markings on receiver. Wood is nearly flawless, with only a couple minor abrasions (and I DO mean minor).  Perfect mirror-bore with a mere 17.32" barrel. The only hint of wear on this cute little carbine is from a bayonet having been mounted and removed several times.  Certainly the finest example of one of these I have ever seen, and absolutely worthy of the finest collection.  Not import-marked, UNIMPROVABLE!   PHOTOS . . . $950.   C&R   SOLD

FINN Model 28 bolt-action Mosin-Nagant rifle  # 20704 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1928.  Excellent condition with 90% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore (counterbored at muzzle).  Matching bolt-body, decent buttstock with only a few of the usual handling-marks. FINN Model 39 bolt-action Mosin-Nagant rifle  # 303418 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by SAKO in 1968.  Excellent condition with 90% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Matching bolt-knob, decent buttstock with only a few of the usual handling-marks, several round plugs on side of buttstock (hardly noticeable). FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # K6237 (7.5x54 MAS), mfg. by St. Etienne in June, 1940. Near Excellent condition, with some remaining painted finish on metal, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. Buttstock and triggerguard numbered to receiver, remainder of parts mismatched but correct prewar features including weird rear sight, barrel-band and front blade sight with protective "ears". Quite a few handling-marks and compressions from bolts of adjacent rifles, but has original finish with bold dated cartouche. GERMAN Model G43 semiautomatic SNIPER rifle # 9080d (8mm) mfg. by Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik (code duv) in 1944.  Excellent-PLUS condition, a Volkspolizei (VOPO) rework with the tell-tale 22 in square inside sunburst proof stamped on left side of the receiver atop the Nazi firing-proof and Russian-capture X on l. side of receiver.  All-matching numbers (even the wood), renumbered bolt-carrier, some numbers on smaller parts electropenciled to match (as usual for BLM-produced rifles).  Strong and quite bright bore, 100% external reblued finish, laminated stock with synthetic handguard has virtually no handling-marks, with G43-marked magazine (aye-code). ZF-4 SCOPE # 5809 by CZ (letter-code dow) has clear optics, repro sun-shade, amber-glass filter and eyepiece, postwar (1948-dated) Czech scope-mount.  Includes unusual leather sling, front sight-cover, cleaning-rod, action-cover and proper scope-cover.  PHOTOS . . . $2650.   C&R   SOLD

ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 635810 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1950.  Excellent PLUS condition with 100% original gray Parkerized finish.  Extremely strong Israeli Defense Forces (Star of David) Crest with large 7.62 stamped above it and matching bolt.  Has stamped barrel-bands and large stamped triggerguard.  Bore is mirror-perfect, stock is sound but a bit scuffed-up from handling, with "7.62" deeply stamped at bottom. No cleaning-rod (stock does not have a channel to accept one), includes front sight-hood and correct Israeli sling.  Not import-marked, by far the nicest example we have ever encountered and worthy of the finest collection. ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry carbine with attached folding-bayonet # G2554 (6.5x52) mfg. by FNA-Brescia in early 1938 (the XV year of Mussolini). Excellent condition with 90% full bluing and an excellent, mirror-bright bore.  Stock number matches receiver. Wood has some few scuffs and dings and is sound with original finish, missing handguard.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $250. C&R    SOLD

LUXEMBOURG Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 1117 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique National  in c.1955.  Very Good condition with 70% original black-enamel finish, all-matching numbers, bore is mirror-bright and virtually perfect, AL stamped above chamber.  Walnut stock and handguard has qu8ite a few handling-marks from its experiences over the last nearly half-century. Includes M1A-type flash-hider on threaded barrel.  Only 6,000 FN-49 rifles were made for Luxembourg, and .30-06 is the most desirable chambering in this model rifle. PHOTO . . . $675.   C&R   SOLD

NORWEGIAN Model 1894 Krag bolt-action infantry rifle # 81987 (6.5x55) mfg. by Kongsburg Arms Factory in 1908. Very Good condition with strong, somewhat bright bore. NORWEGIAN Model 1912/16 Krag bolt-action infantry carbine # 10579 (6.5x55) mfg. by Kongsburg Arms Factory in 1916. Very Good condition with strong, somewhat bright bore. RUSSIAN Model 1895 Winchester lever-action Musket # 197276 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Winchester in 1915.  Very Good condition with 80% bluing on metal. Bore is decent if a little eroded but rifling is strong and crisp. Very rare and seldom-seen, right side of receiver has Russian acceptance-marking. Totally functional and quite attractive. RUSSIAN Model 1891 Dragoon Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 97609 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1919 with original Dragoon features (ladder rear-sight and blade front-sight). Excellent PLUS condition, metal has 95% original bluing and a near excellent somewhat bright bore.  [SA] marked, matching bolt-body with unusually bold markings for these and strong Hammer & Sickle within wreath on both receiver and barrel-shank. Finn two-piece buttstock in close to new condition with slightly darker handguard with very few handling-marks on either. Includes Finnish web-sling and cleaning-rod.  Not import-marked, extremely rare configuration for a Finn-marked rifle. PHOTOS . . . $425.  C&R  

SPANISH Model 1943 Mauser bolt-action rifle # EA07719 (8x57), mfg. for the Spanish Air Force in c.1944.  Near Excellent condition, with 85% bluing (much of it turning brown) and an excellent mirror-bore.  Air Force logo stamped above chamber.  All-matching numbers, Walnut stock retains original finish with many handling-marks in the wood. SPANISH Model FR-7 Mauser bolt-action carbine # FR7-00228 (7.62 NATO), converted from Spanish Model 1916 short rifle.  Excellent condition, with 95% Parkerized finish and an excellent mirror-bore.  All-matching numbers, Walnut stock and handguard has some of the expected handling-marks but is very lovely. SWEDISH Model AG42B Ljungmann semiautomatic rifle # 25391 (6.5x55) mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1945. Excellent condition, with 95% bluing (some wear on top cover and at sharp edges).  Bore is near pristine and mirror-bright (disk reads 6.50/2). VENEZUELAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 5325 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in c.1953.   Very Good condition, with 80% original painted finish (stoving) and mirror-perfect bore. All-matching numbers, Venezuelan crest on receiver is extremely bold and beautiful, with slotted muzzle-break.  Walnut stock had many heavy dings and handling-marks and was poorly refinished at one time.
