MILITARY RIFLES

    ALBANIAN Model SKS semiautomatic rifle # 02717-69 (7.62x39) mfg. at Umgramsh military arms factory in 1969.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on metal. All matching numbers, still full of cosmoline as imported. A clean example with some dings and scratches on the stock from handling and actual use. Includes folding spike-bayonet and cleaning rod.     NATIONALIST CHINESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle # 1153303 (rechambered to 8x57 Mauser), mfg. by Koishikawa (Tokyo) Arsenal  in c.1920.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing on all parts. bore is bright and strong. Mismatched (but correct) bolt, mum and Japanese marking removed and replaced by Chinese characters "7,9 Caliber" (read right to left).   See Honeycutt, page 182.  Exceptional condition for this type of rifle, stock is exceptionally pretty with beautiful figure, large MIN-BING (Peoples Militia) cartouche between two stars burned into right side.     GERMAN Model Gewehr 1871/84 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 8317 (11mm) mfg. by Spandau in 1888 with 31 1/2" barrel.  An restored Very Good example, no matching serial numbers, reportedly a working and functional prop for the mover "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise (2003). Full strong bluing with receiver "in the white" and a near perfect mirror-bright bore.  Buttplate unit-markings not clear due to corrosion, Buttstock is a repro with weak cartouches. Only a few scuffs in the wood. Not import marked, completely functional. PHOTOS . . . $450.     Antique, no FFL required 

    ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action infantry rifle # YK3368 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1916.  Excellent condition with 95% or so bluing, bore is mostly bright and strong. Has bent bolt, with accuracy marking (crossed rifles over target) on left side of barrel.  Stock is not matching with some ding and handling marks. Includes cleaning rod and U.S. military leather sling  PHOTOS . . . $475.     C&R  

    JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle Series 27, # 46734 (6.5x50), mfg. by Nagoya Arsenal  in c.1938.  Excellent condition, with 90% or better bluing on all parts. bore is a bit dark but quite strong. Mismatched (but correct) bolt, mum heavily ground. Stock has original finish with the expected handling marks from actual use, missing cleaning rod. Not import-marked.     SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 16103 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1930 on a hex receiver. Excellent condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mostly bright bore. Bolt not matching. Stock is laminated and professionally refinished (and looks fantastic). Trigger has been replaced with a fantastic adjustable Timney trigger and added thumb safety. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts stamped matching. Stock has very few handling marks.     SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 118993 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1932 on a hex receiver. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All numbered parts stamped matching. Stock has very few handling marks.     U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3351457 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in 1942, a sporter rifle built by Herter in the 1950's. Excellent or better condition with full bluing. A very elegant sporter, with low profile receiver sight and monte carlo stock. Receiver has been drilled and tapped (with screw plugs), bolt handle has been relieved for scope, and front sight is hooded. Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright. Not import-marked.     U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 4103975 (.30-06) mfg. by Remington in November 1943 with RA 11-43 original barrel.  Excellent or better condition with full Parkerizing intact. Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (TE = 2.0, MW = 4.0). Walnut stock has a few scuffs from handling and 3975 stamped on right side. .  Includes CMP certificate of authenticity..     U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1091936 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1942 with original SA 12-42 barrel. Excellent external condition with most Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore however is dark and extremely worn (but has been a regularly used "shooter" for the past 30 years or so).  Features all SA-marked parts. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 2624525 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in February, 1944.  This is CMP Special rifle, with new Criterion match barrel and new Boyd furniture (with CMP cartouche), in literally AS NEW condition without a mark on it. Model M1 Carbine semiautomatic rifle # 889390 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland (General Motors) in October 1943 with 10-43 dated  Inland barrel.  Excellent condition, metal has full Parkerized finish with a mirror bright bore and with 3.0 muzzle-wear. Includes 15-round magazine (only where legal). Model M1 Carbine # 1126793 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Winchester in 1943 with later features (but retains push-button safety).  Excellent condition with 95% phosphate finish, barrel marked with W with a gorgeous strong, mirror-bright bore and tight muzzle (ME = 1.5).  Has high-wood stock and handguard.
