AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # B73587 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1941. Excellent condition with full oil-blacked finish and mirror-bright and strong bore. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # AB3833 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in July 1947. Very Good condition, with most military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. All matching numbers with a strong mostly-bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Wood retains its original finish and has quite a few handling marks. PHOTOS . . . $425. C&R
CHINESE Type 56 Siminov SKS semiautomatic rifle # 1612109 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 636. Excellent-PLUS condition with no evidence of use. All parts numbered to receiver (12109), bore is chrome-lines and as mirror-bright and strong as the day it was made. Includes spike-bayonet and cleaning-rod as well as cleaning kit in butt-trap and sling. Stock has original finish with only a few minor dings from contact with adjacent rifles. DUTCH Model 48 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 89 (8mm) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1950 with crest above chamber having crowned J for Queen Juliana. Excellent-PLUS condition, appears to be UNISSUED with 100% bluing and all-matching numbers, City of Amsterdam Police markings on receiver. Wood is nearly flawless, with only a couple minor abrasions (and I DO mean minor). Perfect mirror-bore with a mere 17.32" barrel, includes short cleaning-rod. DUTCH EAST INDIES Model 48 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 1822 (8mm) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1950 with IOB crest above chamber for Indische Ondernemersbond (the Federation of East Indies Entrepreneurs) Good to Very Good condition, actually looks as if it has been in Indonesia for some time, bolt not matching (1682) but is correct bolt for this carbine. Bore is very strong and mostly bright with a mere 17.32" barrel. Stock and handguard sound but shows many handling marks. Includes short cleaning-rod. Has German import-marks (April 1994). FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 60245 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1915 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition, nearly all bluing remaining. Bolt-body stamped 60245, magazine floorplate and buttplate scrubbed (as usual). Bore is very strong and bright, counterbored at muzzle. Finn three-piece stock has the expected handling marks. FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 649207 (7.62x54R) mfg. by New England Westinghouse in 1915 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition, nearly all bluing remaining on upper metal, very little remaining on triggerguard & magazine floorplate. Bolt-body stamped 648207, magazine floorplate and buttplate scrubbed (as usual). Right side of barrel-shank stamped SS142102. Bore is dark and rough but may clean up with effort, counterbored at muzzle. Finn two-piece stock has arsenal repair on left side with the expected handling marks. Includes cleaning rod. Bolt-body stamped 34768, magazine floorplate and buttplate either not matching or scrubbed (as usual). Bore is extremely bright and strong, has been counterbored at muzzle. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # CE2132 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1938 by Tula with [SA] property marking on left side of barrel-shank and 41 on right. Excellent condition with 90% original bluing. Bolt-body stamped 2132, bore is quite bright and strong, has been counterbored at muzzle. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # OOOO2552 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1939 by Izhevsk with [SA] property marking on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition with 60% original bluing (less on smaller parts). All matching original Russian serial numbers, bore is quite bright and strong. GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 Mauser bolt-action sporterized rifle # 3276 (8x57) mfg. by Erfurt Arsenal in 1904. How to RUIN a very collectible rifle! Matching bolt has been bent-down, barrel has been cut-down with ramp front sight and buckhorn rear sight added. Stock looks home-made with rubber buttpad. IRANIAN Model 49 Mauser bolt-action carbine # 13378 (8x57) mfg. by Mosalsalsasi in 1950 with 18" barrel. Excellent-PLUS condition with 95% bluing and all-matching numbers. Rear sight has Western numerals, includes cleaning-rod. Perfect mirror-bore, nice beech stock with bold cartouches and a couple minor nicks and compressions from storage (virtually invisible). Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with 100+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright perfect bore. All-matching numbers (bolt lacks letter prefixes), wood nearly mar-free. PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # H4453 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Near Excellent condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original bluing with a nice mirror-bright bore, includes cleaning-rod. Walnut stock has crack on both sides of pistol-grip (needs repair) and is arsenal repaired near toe. Includes original nuzzle-cap. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle. RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 136638 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1900. Good condition with virtually no remaining blue on external metal. No matching numbers, bore is somewhat dark and rough. No cleaning-rod, stock and handguard sound with no cracks. PHOTOS . . . $125. C&R SOLD
RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action Cossack rifle # 2864 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1909 with KA3 stamp0ed atop barrel-shank, rear sight, and on right side of buttstock. Excellent original condition with full bluing. All matching stamped numbers (even on the cocking-piece), bore is mirror-bright and very strong, has correct solid barrel-bands. Includes cleaning-rod and leather sling. Stock has DEUTCHES REICHES cartouche on right side (indicating capture by Germany in WWI), forend cap has added ersatz bayonet lug welded to it (likely by the Germans). Stock and handguard have handling marks and likely some battle-scars but is sound with no cracks. SPANISH Model FR-8 Mauser bolt-action tactical carbine # FR8-03707 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by La Coruņa in 1947. Very Good condition, with 80% Parkerized metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. SWEDISH Model 96/38B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 52235 (6.5x55), mfg. by Mauser in 1900 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal muzzle-cap). Good condition, with most bluing worn to silver color. Has very strong markings and a bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.54/3). Rear band mismatched, else all matching numbers. SWISS Model 1889 Schmidt-Rubin infantry rifle # 163152 (7.5x53.5mm, chambered for the GP90 round) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1893. All-matching numbers, including magazine. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5870029 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in May, 1955 with SA 5-55 barrel. Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish remaining on all metal and having an excellent bore (TE = 2.5, ME = 2.0).
