COLT "The Woodsman" Sport Model semiautomatic pistol (.22LR), 1st Series, #132429 mfg. in 1939. Literally as-new (the previous owner may have fired 5-10 rounds or so out of it then put it away). 99+% deep bluing with virtually no signs of wear and very crisp markings, original checkered walnut grips sharp as can be. Includes original magazine, some tools, original somewhat tattered, soiled and taped box with tattered, browned and spotted folded instruction-sheet, and custom-made walnut cigar-type box with latch and space to hold three full and one partial boxes Winchester Leader Staynless .22LR cartridges that appear to be from the 1930's (included). AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull carbine #1522B (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1915. Excellent Plus, unissued since 1930's rebuild, with matching bolt and wood, a near-perfect bore, 100% bluing and nearly flawless stock. BRITISH Pattern 14 Mauser bolt-action rifle #300586 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in c.1916. Very Good condition with strong, mostly bright bore. Original stock with volley-sight disk (but no pointer) showing lots of handling-marks but sound, brass unit-disk on right side has Arabic letters and numbers. CANADIAN Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.1* bolt-action rifle #2L3036 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch in 1942. Excellent condition with perfect mirror-bright 5-groove bore. Metal has nearly full phosphate finish, bolt has 1-marked bolt-head and bolt is forced-matched to receiver. Features correct stamped ladder rear-sight. Wood has some of the usual handling-marks. COLOMBIAN Model 58 Madsen bolt-action rifle #3014 (.30-06) mfg. in Denmark in the late 1950's. Excellent-plus condition with perfect mirror-bright bore. Metal has full black-lacquer finish with a few small contact-marks and the proper phosphated bolt. Lovely walnut stock has a few minor abrasions. This rifle has all the standard Madsen features: a butt-pad, muzzle-break, bayonet-lug, and peep-type rear-sight adjustable for windage. A very lovely example of the last bolt-action military rifle. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action rifle #RR11429 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in c. 1940. Excellent, with 100% bluing (definitely arsenal reblue) strong and mostly shiny bore, Romanian crest on receiver skillfully ground off and polished. Bolt not matching but has excellent headspace. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action rifle #5736M4 (8x57) mfg. by CZ in 1937. Excellent-plus, with 100% bluing (may be excellent reblue) absolutely perfect mirror-bore, and gorgeous lion-crest on receiver. Bolt not matching but has excellent headspace. Wood has been nicely sanded smooth and rifle looks (and shoots) great. No cleaning-rod, but does have excellent-condition leather sling. Not import-marked. PHOTO . . $275. C&R SOLD

ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action Cavalry Carbine #I5841 (7.35x53 mm) mfg. by F.N.A. Brexcia in 1938. Excellent, with 100% bluing and absolutely perfect mirror-bore. Wood has original finish with some dings and scuffs and very bold 7.35 and cartouche stamped on left side (see photo). Missing spike-bayonet and screw for front barrel-band. Hobbs pg. 16. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka long rifle (31" barrel) #13561 (7.7x58) mfg. by Toyo Kogyo (Hiroshima) in 1939. Excellent condition with full deep bluing and matching assembly numbers, perfect mirror bore, original unsanded wood finish. Mum has been ground, there are some small surface-rust spots on the magazine-floorplate and triggerguard from carry, no monopod, anti-aircraft wings or cleaning-rod. TURKISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action SHORT rifle #384 (8x57) marked 1938 on receiver-ring. Very Good, with usual non-matching straight bolt. Bore very strong and bright, headspace within limits. 90% or so bluing turned a uniform brown, brass cleaning-rod. U.S.A. Model M1 semiautomatic carbine #442648 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland in 1943. An arsenal rework (as most are) with uniform grey-green parkerizing on all parts. Has Underwood 5-44 dated barrel with excellent bore and all upgrades, bolt has flat top, stock is the high-wood variety, handguard has two rivets. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle (8x57) rebuilt in the late 1940's from original FN and CZ manufactured rifles made for Yugoslavia under contract. ARGENTINA Model 1891 Mauser long-rifle bayonet #N7389 with white-metal grips and matching-numbered blued-steel scabbard by Wayersberg Kirschbaum & Co., Solingen in circa 1896. J-N 2/1, Kiesling II, 286. Near Excellent condition with excellent blade (crest ground-off by hilt as usual). Full bluing on scabbard which has one small dent on side. Steel part of handle and hilt browned but will clean up quite nicely to excellent with a little elbow-grease. PHOTO . . . $75. SOLD
BRAZIL Model 1908 Mauser bayonet with wood grips and brass-tipped leather scabbard. Possible local production with no maker's marks. J-N 23/1, Kiesling IV, 836. GERMAN Model 1898 A/A rib-backed blade Mauser bayonet with one-piece walnut grip mfg. at the Erfurt arsenal 1898-1902. J-N 82/1, Kiesling II, 425. Has unit markings 21.R.2.21 on left side of hilt. Fair condition with operable latch, front 6" on right and 10" on left side of blade blood-pitted, no scabbard. PHOTO . . . $50.
GERMAN Model 1898/05 "butcher-blade" Mauser bayonet with all-steel scabbard by Anker-Werke, Bielefeld from 1915-1918. J-N 86/1, Kiesling I, 256. Obviously dug-up from a WWI battlefield and essentially in "as found" condition. Blade is quite nice with some staining but no pitting, scabbard shows rust and scale, as does handle although wood grips intact. Back of handle bent upwards slightly (goes back to form with only slight downwards pressure, latch frozen shut). PHOTO . . . $60.
HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Steyr-Mannlicher bayonet with wood grips. J-N 9/1, Kiesling I, 67. VG condition (average for these) with decent blade (a bit blunted at tip and crudely sharpened on left side of blade), FGGY-marked, no scabbard. SWISS Model 1911 Schmidt-Rubin "Pioneer" sawtooth bayonet with wood grips and steel scabbard by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. J-N 185/3, Kiesling II, 389. Near excellent condition (above average for these) with gorgeous mirror-like blade without nicks, most original paint missing from scabbard, which is thus browned and shows some minor dents and dings from actual usage.
