BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # Y2583 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1943. Near Excellent condition, full stoving enamel on metal with a mirror-bright 4-groove bore. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # N9948 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazerkerly in June 1945. Near Excellent condition, with oil-blacked finish intact on metal parts. DANISH Model 89 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action infantry rifle # 9158 (8x58R mm) mfg. in Copenhagen in 1891. Very Good condition with all-matching serial numbers and a very strong shiny bore. Has had a scope-mount added to the rear of the barrel and the top 2/3 of the rear sight ladder has been cut so it would not interfere with the scope when mounted (rear sight is still functional). FINN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action infantry rifle # 519 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1914 with Peter The Great marking and [SA] Finn property mark on left side of barrel-shank. Very Good condition with faded bluing on all metal parts (receiver a bit pitted) and a somewhat bright bore. Bolt knob numbered 319 (almost matching, first digit of # obviously misread). Finn 2-piece stock has many handling marks with cut-out for unit-disk (missing) and has two nails driven from right to left side at wrist. No handguard or sling swivels, includes cleaning rod. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 10991 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tikka in 1928 on an 1898-dated Sestroryetsk receiver. Excellent or better condition with full bluing (likely arsenal refinished). 10991 stamped on bolt-body (matching), bore is very strong and quite bright, not counterbored at muzzle. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 227559 (7.62x54R) mfg. by SAKO in 1942. Very Good or better overall condition with 70% bluing on metal parts and quite bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-knob, includes cleaning-rod, some thin scratched at top of barrel-shank. Two-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has really nice figuring with SAKO wheel cartouche and a few of the expected handling-marks and scuffs from actual use, thin crack on left side of tang (seems stable). FINN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # U8692 (7.35x53 Carcano) mfg. by Terni in 1939 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank, with scarce folding bayonet. Near Excellent condition with 90% original bluing on upper metal, magazine shows more wear. Bore is very bright and strong. FRENCH Model 1907-15 Berthier bolt-action infantry rifle # M71784 (8x50R Lebel) mfg. by St. Etienne in 1918. Very Good, with nearly fill bluing on external metal (some pitting on magazine). Hinged floorplate numbered M17184 (matching), bolt has two numbers, neither matches barrel. FRENCH Model 16 Berthier bolt-action carbine # BC46239 (8x50R) mfg. by St. Etienne with replacement 1922 dated Chattelerault barrel. Excellent condition, with nearly full bluing and a mirror-bright, very strong bore. All visible numbered parts stamped BC46239 (matching) except for buttstock, strong bore stamped N. GERMAN Gewehr 88/05 Commission bolt-action rifle # 2538o (8x57JS) mfg. by Loewe in 1890. Very Good condition, with most remaining bluing turned brown (receiver was "in the white") and retaining its metal barrel-jacket, magazine altered in 1905 to utilize regular stripper-clip loading. All matching serial numbers except for safety. Barrel and receiver S-marked, bore is quite bright and strong. Walnut stock has no finish and is a little scuffed-up but sound. No Turkish markings. Completely functional, I would not hesitate to shoot this (however I DO NOT recommend any firing military ammo in it, only modern U.S.-manufactured commercial loads in it rather than milsurp ammo). GERMAN Model Gewehr 98 bolt-action infantry rifle # 1296b (8x57mm) mfg. by Spandau in 1917. Very Good or better condition, barrel has most bluing remaining (receiver "in the white"), small parts have little bluing remaining. All numbered parts, except bolt, match receiver and barrel. Bore is quite strong and bright. Has original "roller coaster" rear sight the operates as intended and includes cleaning rod. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4634v (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf 41) in 1941. A Russian capture with no matching numbers in Excellent condition with 95% or better reblued metal. Bore is very strong and extremely bright. All-milled parts, no bayonet-lug, buttstock is laminated with cupped buttplate and has reproduction leather sling with keeper. Quite attractive. ITALIAN Model 1870/87/16 Vetterli-Vitali bolt-action infantry rifle # BH2060 (6.5x52 Carcano) mfg. by Torino in 1882. Near Excellent condition, with mostly full bluing on external metal. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 22, # 38005 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura in c.1936. Very Good condition with much original bluing remaining Mum has been ground. This type has ladder-type rear sight with V-aperture and lacks its cleaning rod and sliding action-cover. MEXICAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # B3996 (7x57) mfg. by D.W.M. Berlin in 1897. Good or better condition, with most bluing turned brown on all parts. No matching serial numbers, bore is dark with strong rifling. Buttstock is a bit beat up not with no cracks, handguard does have two chips in it. Includes cleaning-rod. Completely functional.
