MILITARY RIFLES

ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle # M1664 (7.65x54) mfg. by Loewe in 1895.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better deep bluing.  All parts matching receiver, including cleaning rod. Crest above chamber ground off (as usual).   Bore excellent and extremely bright with very strong rifling. Stock has a few dings, features long handguard. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 30 Arisaka bolt-action cavalry carbine 26497 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1900. Near Excellent condition with all bluing on all metal parts intact (bluing on magazine floorplate and Triggerguard faded from carry and actual use).  Intact mum with all markings extremely strong. Bore is somewhat bright with sharp rifling. Includes cleaning rod, stock has quite a few dings, gouges and handling-marks with original finish. Not import-marked. POLISH Model K29 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 21093M (8x57) mfg. by Radom in 1932.  Very Good condition, with bold Polish eagle crest atop chamber. All matching numbers, a completely original example lacking only its cleaning rod. Bore is somewhat bright and very strrong. Beech stock has original unsanded finish, with two Nazi eagle/swastika cartouches on bottom.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $950.      C&R     SOLD

SPANISH Model 1943 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # T-7099 (8x57) mfg. by La Coruna in 1951.  Excellent-PLUS completely refinished condition, very bold eagle crest atop chamber. Bolt not matching. All external metal has been polished and professionally reblued, bolt body in the white, no cleaning rod. Bore is not very bright but has strong rifling. SWISS Model 1878 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 176355 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in c.1878. Excellent condition, all-matching numbers (and every part is numbered). All original blued finish essentially as nice as these ever get. Bore is mostly bright and strong with a few dark patches. Wood is walnut with its original finish (cartouches clear) having lovely tiger-striped figure and only a few minor handling-marks and dings. Includes cleaning-rod. SWISS Model 1889 Schmidt-Rubin infantry rifle # 190065 (7.5x53.5mm, chambered for the GP90 round) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1895, stock marked for SAINT GALLEN (a Canton in North East Switzerland). All-matching numbers including magazine.  Excellent condition, with virtually all bluing intact if a little browned on the corners and on magazine floorplate from carry.  Bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 5845072 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in February, 1955 with original S-A-2-55 barrel.  Excellent-PLUS condition with full uniform dark-gray Parkerizing on metal and having a gorgeous mirror-bore (TE = 1.5, ME = 2.0).  Looks all original with nice walnut stock and handguards have a few dings from handling.
