U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle #1653315 (.30-06) mfg. at  Springfield Arsenal in June, 1943. A military rework (done at Red River Arsenal, June 1966) as received from the CMP, with correct bolt, 12-65 dated barrel, and mixed other parts, all parts but the barrel having a gorgeous greenish-gray parkerizing that is matching in color and very attractive.  No wear whatsoever since rebuild, test-fired only, absolutely perfect bore and functioning.  Wood is new with a few storage dings but no wear (or cartouches, save for the P in square under the grip).  The birch front handguard is quite a bit lighter than the dark Walnut buttstock and rear handguard (easily remedied), still with U.S. ordinance inventory tag on front sight. About as perfect condition M1 Garand as can be had, with certificate of authenticity from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.  Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $825.   C&R     SOLD

Wood has some minor scratches and dings but is better than usually seen on these.
