BRITISH  Mark VI revolver #370845 (back of cylinder shaved to chamber .45 ACP in half-moon clips) mfg. by Webley in 1918.  Very Good condition with around 70% blued finish, some areas where bluing has been removed due to being exposed to splashed solvents or whatever, all-matching numbers. Bore is very strong and shiny with virtually no pitting.  Numbers 3 above 828 stamped on the right side of frame.  Hand needs adjustment, as cylinder will spin to left if pistol is not cocked.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R   

RIFLES

ARGENTINE Model 1891 Mauser bolt-action rifle #P5216 (7.65x53) mfg. by Loewe in c. 1896.  Excellent, with 90% or better original bluing, crest ground (as usual).  Bore is near mirror-perfect, all-matching numbers (including wood and cleaning-rod).  Nice streaked walnut stock with a few compressions in wood. Nice non-marching but proper 1891 Argentine bayonet (# S5369, with ground crest) and scabbard (matching each other).  Not import-marked,   PHOTOS . . . $250.   Antique, no FFL required   SOLD

ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle #B4083 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in c. 1910.   Excellent condition, with nearly 100% original bluing (receiver in the white as is proper for these, front barrel-band a bit worn). Bore is close to mirror-perfect, Argentine crest is extremely bold and beautiful.  All-matching numbers (including wood and cleaning-rod).  Gorgeous streaked reddish-walnut stock with quite vivid "tigerstripe" figure with original finish (never sanded). A few scuffs and dents from contact with adjacent rifles during normal storage & handling through the years, and several holes where it appears that something was attached to the right side (like a plaque).  Includes excellent and proper green-leather sling in excellent condition plus a proper but non-matching (#G9443) 1909 Argentine bayonet and scabbard in VG condition.  Also includes muzzle-cap.  Not import-marked,   PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R   SOLD

CZECH Model vz22 Mauser bolt-action long rifle #C1266 (8x57) mfg. by Brno  in 1923 (curved legend above chamber).  A Turkish rework in Excellent condition with 95% bluing and an excellent, mirror-bright bore.  Bolt numbered 1266 by the Turks to match (which is pretty amazing), most other parts recycled from Gew. 98 rifles.  Excellent buttstock, handguard has crack repaired by several dovetail-type patches. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle #6372T4 (8x57) mfg. by Brno  in 1938 (double-tailed rampant lion above chamber).  Very Good condition, with nearly full original bluing on all metal parts, bore is frosted but rifling is very strong and it shoots real good.  Mismatched bolt (as usual), stock has original finish with many handling marks from use and storage. FINN Model P-27 Mosin-Nagant infantry rifle #15204 (7.62x54R), barrel relined in 1927 at AV-1 (the barrel-shank blued). Excellent condition with 95% bluing, matching-bolt, and a near-perfect mirror-bore. Original Russian buttstock is kinda beat-up but has circular DEUTCHES REICH cartouche on left side and a small arsenal-repair to left side of forend. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #35907 (7.62x54R), barrel  mfg. by Tikka in 1931.  Excellent condition, with 95% bluing, matching-bolt, bore is excellent and mirror-bright with counterbored muzzle. Front barrel-band is of the "popsickle-stick" type. GERMAN Model Gewher 98 bolt-action Mauser rifle #5437c (8mm) mfg. by Mauser in 1918.  Very Good condition, with 70% blue (turning brown) on all parts except the barrel-bands and triggerguard (which have turned completely brown).  A Turkish-rework that is completely mismatched, bore quite sharp and bright (a little dark in the grooves), Turkish quarter-moon stamped above the chamber and on wood, Turk serial # 4152 stamped atop rear bridge of receiver.  Quite nice-looking beech stock with lots of "flash" in the figure, German military cartouches a bit faint but discernable, repaired crack to front of handguard.  Has intact and functional "lange-vazir" roller-coaster rear-sight. Includes cleaning-rod and cut-down1915-dated sawback-bayonet mfg. by R. Stock & Co., Berlin Marienfelde with beat-up but intact metal scabbard.  A clean rifle that would make an decent shooter or for use in re-enactments. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $375.   C&R  

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka rifle, Series 17, #62600 (7.7x58) mfg. by Nagoya in c.1944.  Very Good condition with browned metal covered by what looks like pitch (comes off with a little Kroil).  All-matching numbers with excellent  mirror chrome-lined bore, original unsanded wood finish. Mum has been ground, and features a grooved safety and cylindrical bolt-handle. Some dings and scratches in wood finish from handling and storage.  Not import-marked. . . $125.   C&R    SOLD

PERSIAN Model 98/29 bolt-action Mauser long-rifle #C02629 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1931. Excellent condition, virtually unissued with all-matching numbers. 100% bluing, near-perfect with a perfect bore, wood has really nice figure and some minor contact-marks and compressions from palletizing.  Includes near-new correct (but not matching) long bayonet and scabbard and leather sling. . . $395. RUSSIAN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle #835489 (7.62x54R), mfg. by New England Westinghouse in 1915.  Excellent condition, with at least 90% strong bluing throughout.  A Finn rework, barrel-shank stamped [SA]. Matching-bolt, bore is a little rough but strong and bright. One-piece Russian buttstock has some dings, digs and handling-marks along with a faint Finn Home-Guard number stamped on right side. RUSSIAN Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle #PK2998 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula  in 1941.   A Soviet rework in near-perfect condition, with 100% bluing on metal, a mirror-perfect bore, and all-matching numbers except for magazine.  No scope-rails, four-slot muzzle-break, includes cleaning-rod and correct web-sling with leather end-straps. Buttstock is from AVT Naval Infantry model rifle, which has sling-slots in the butt instead of swivels. RUSSIAN Model SKS-45 Siminov semiautomatic rifle #AK761 (7.62x39) mfg. by Tula  in 1954.   An arsenal-rework rifle with 100% blue (blade-bayonet and bolt-carrier hard-chromed), bore mirror-bright and nearly perfect (no wear visible on bolt-face).  Solid buttstock with numbers x'ed-out and stamped to match.  Wood has a couple minor bumps but is otherwise as-new. SWEDISH Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle #209714 (6.5x55) mfg. by CARL GUSTAF in 1907. Excellent, with 90% bluing and all-matching numbers except cleaning-rod (as usual). Excellent mirror-bright bore with bore-disk stamped 6.50/2 and range-decal pasted on stock beside .
