Scrubbed crest (as usual) with much fire-bluing on small parts, all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is strong and mirror bright. ARGENTINE Model 1909 Mauser bolt-action rifle # N7121 (7.65x53) mfg. by DWM in 1912. Excellent-PLUS (literally UNISSUED) condition, with 100% strong bluing on all parts (receiver in the white as it should be). Crest above chamber very bold, all-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod), bore is perfect and mirror-bright. Streaked walnut stock and handguard has a few handling-marks (mostly compressions) from contact with adjacent rifles. Not import-marked, a gorgeous example of an original Argentine Mauser. BRITISH SHT .22 Mark IV* bolt-action single-shot target rifle # E2472 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by B.S.A. in 1915. Excellent condition with some signs of actual service usage. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # X6406 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in September, 1946. Excellent condition, with 98% intact military stoving (glossy black paint) on metal. Stock matching receiver, bolt numbered Z494, magazine numbered Y1496, with strong mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle # G7162 (7x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent condition, with 95% original deep bluing on all metal parts. Chilean crest above chamber is very strong and clear. All-matching numbers (including cleaning-rod). Bore is exceptional and mirror-bright. COLOMBIAN Model 47 bolt-action rifle # 1264-58 (.30-06), mfg. by Madsen in 1958. Excellent-PLUS (literally UNISSUED) condition, with 100% original black-painted finish, bore is mirror-perfect. Stock has a few very minor scuffs and compressions on right side from handling but no apparent wear. FRENCH Model 1949/56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # G73898 (rechambered by CENTURY INTERNATIONAL ARMS to 7.62 NATO / .308 Win.) manufactured at St. Etienne in 1972. Near Excellent condition, rifle has full gray parkerized finish and a bright apparently strong bore. Only a few handling marks on the wood or metal. ITALIAN Model 91 Mannlicher-Carcano Truppi-Speciale bolt-action carbine # 22 (7.92x57) mfg. by Terni in early 1941 (the XIX year of Mussolini) and converted to 8mm single-shot training rifle with S-marked chamber and bolt. Very Good condition, bore is very bright and strong, stock has a few scuffs and dings but no cracks or anything major. PHOTOS . . . $200. C&R SOLD
JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action rifle Series 27, # 80186 (6.5x50) mfg. at Nagoya in c.1936. Near Excellent condition with full original bluing on receiver and barrel, mum has been lightly crossed-through but has not been ground. Bolt (and all bolt parts) # 452. This type has ladder peep-type rear-sight and long cleaning-rod (which is present). Bore is strong and mostly bright, wood has never been sanded and has wartime damage with 18 notches intentionally cut at bottom of grip and a .30 Caliber bullet-hole through upper-right of forend (exiting at bottom of stock, not touching the barrel) with the expected handling-marks and dings. PERSIAN Model 98/29 Mauser bolt-action rifle # Y4624 (8x57), mfg. by Brno in 1931 (A.H. 1309). New, literally UNISSUED condition, with 100% bluing, action-bolts have flawless "straw" coloring. Has perfect mirror-bright bore and all-matching numbers, all markings clean with a magnificent lion-crest above chamber. PORTUGUESE Model 1886 Kropatschek bolt-action infantry rifle # VV46 (8x60R Kropatschek) mfg. by Steyr in 1886. Very Good condition with bright and strong bore. Metal has full bluing (turning brown from age on barrel and other parts) , bolt (and all bolt parts) mismatched (as usual). Completely functional with 8-shot tubular magazine and original cleaning-rod. Wood has original finish with bold 1886-dated Steyr cartouche on right side and royal cartouche of King Luis I (reigned 1861-1889) on left side, some of the inevitable handling-marks acquired over the past 120 years. SWEDISH Model 96 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 123817 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1902 with straight-bolt and unthreaded muzzle. Excellent condition, with full bluing on all parts. All matching numbers (except cleaning rod), rear sight is of the wheel (sniper) graduated from 100 to 800 meters, front sight has been slimmed. Beech stock & handguard has very few handling-marks. Walnut stock and handguard has original finish plus whatever minor handling-marks can be expected on a well cared-for 113 year-old rifle with original finish. A nice collectable example.
