AUSTRALIAN No.1 Mk.III bolt-action rifle # 23603 (.303 British) mfg. by Lithgow Arsenal in 1916 with top of chamber marked for 1st Military District. Good or better condition with very little external finish remaining (looks like a battle survivor, because it is). Bolt, barrel, and nose cap matches receiver (23603), rear sight does not. Replacement barrel (dated 11/30) is mirror bright and very strong. Magazine cut-off and both volley sights missing, buttstock shows some heavy handling marks from actual use, with visible (if not clear) military cartouches on right side of butt. BRITISH No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # H82459 (.303 British) mfg. by BSA in 1918. Near Excellent or better condition with full blued finish remaining. All numbered parts (including magazine) stamped 82459. Bore is very bright and very strong. Buttstock shows some heavy handling marks from actual use. PHOTOS . . . $650. C&R SOLD
BRITISH No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # AA28320 (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby during WWII and apparently underwent Factory Thorough Repair at Fazakerly in 1967 (but was utilized heavily since then). Good or so condition with very little external finish remaining. No numbered parts matching, two-groove barrel is amazingly mirror bright and very strong. Has L-shaped flip-type rear sight. Stock shows some handling marks from actual use, butt has 1" square arsenal-repair on right side, handguard has several insignificant very thin and short cracks, a couple clumps of rust atop receiver. BRITISH No.4 Mk.1 bolt-action rifle # 35481A (.303 British) mfg. by BSA Shirley in 1943. Near Excellent condition with nearly full external finish remaining. No numbered parts matching, four-groove barrel is mirror bright and very strong. Stock has been refinished (likely due to a 1/4" x 4" repair to both sides by bolt channel). Front sight protector is missing (a VERY easy part to obtain). Not import-marked (NOT from the recent Ethiopian "hoard" as it is much too nice). PHOTOS . . . $525. C&R SOLD
BRITISH Enfield No.4 (T) SNIPER bolt-action rifle # AX2798 (.303 British) mfg. by British Small Arms, Shirley in 1944, with excellent reproduction No.32 Mk.II scope (with perfect optics). A Genuine WWII-era sniper rifle in overall Excellent condition, with nearly full stoving finish on all major parts and a very bright and strong bore with matching numbered bolt. Nice original beech buttstock (with added wooden cheek-piece) and forend numbered T32798, bottom of butt stamped S51 (Holland & Holland). Stock has some handling marks from actual service use and storage, both sides has symbols topped with painted Arabic numerals. Includes metal case for scope and mount. Not import-marked. BRITISH Model Pattern 14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # 343865 (.303 British) mfg. in the U.S.A. by Remington in 1914. Very Good or better condition, with over 75% blued finish and a mostly bright and strong bore, bolt not matching (a British practice, as the bolts were originally not numbered). Buttstock is the original with intact front and rear volley-sights (pointer of front volley sight missing, an easy part to obtain). Wood has many handling marks and scratches from actual use, but is sound with no cracks, Arabic numerals stamped on brass unit-disk. PHOTOS . . . $925. C&R SOLD
CZECH Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 8970p (8mm) mfg. by Brno in late 1945. A basically UNISSUED all-correct postwar rifle in excellent-PLUS condition, with 100% bluing and all-matching serial numbers. Top of receiver has been scrubbed, excellent Kriegsmodell laminated stock with some light handling marks and stamped normal triggerguard, remainder of parts milled. Bore is perfect and mirror-bright. DUTCH Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action infantry rifle # 99 (6.5x53R) mfg. by Steyr in 1914. Excellent or so condition, with 95% bluing. No matching serial numbers, bore is rough and dark, but has strong rifling. FINN Model 27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 86313 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tikka in 1939. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% bluing and an excellent very bright bore (not counterbored at muzzle). FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 7485 (7.62x54R), undated barrel mfg. by S.I.G. on a 1915-dated Tula receiver with twin sling slots on the butt. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 99% bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore. Bolt-body numbered 7485 (matching). Stock has just a few minor dings, else quite nice. Very scarce. PHOTOS . . . $1150. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 32149 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by VKT in 1941 with antique 1896-dated Tula receiver. Very Good or better condition, with 70% or better bluing and strong markings. Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate both stamped 2149 (matching). Bore is mirror-bright with strong rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Finn three-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has quite a few dings and handling marks. Includes cleaning rod. FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 509019 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1943 by SAKO on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking. Excellent-PLUS condition with 100% bluing. Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate numbered 9019 (matching). 94367 on right side of barrel-shank (indicating the Etelä-Pohjanmaa itäinen civil guard district in Southern Ostrobothnia, the capital of which is Seinäjokii). Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (and NOT counterbored). Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better strong bluing on all metal parts. Has strong markings and a bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/1). All visible parts numbered 708 except barrel-bands, cleaning rod and magazine floorplate. Walnut stock & handguard has many handling marks but is otherwise sound. FRENCH Model 1892 Berthier bolt-action mousquetoon # A3487 (8x50R) made by Châtellerault in 1892. Very Good original condition with 70% or better blued finish on all metal and a decent wood stock. Stock (with 1" x 1" patch on left side) is matching, but nothing else does. Has strong mirror-bright bore with N-marked chamber and barrel. Not import-marked, includes one 3-round en-bloc clip. FRENCH Model 1907-15 Berthier bolt-action infantry rifle # G2594 (8x50R Lebel) mfg. by St. Etienne in 1915, barrel marked EDB 1918 Very Good, with nearly fill bluing on external metal. This rifle has extended magazine for use with M-16 type 5-round en-bloc clip (3-round en-bloc can also be used). No matching serial numbers. GERMAN Model zf4 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 4112k (8x57) mfg. by Mauser Borsigwald (code ar 42) in 1942. Excellent condition (not a Russian-capture) with integral zf4 scope mount on left side of rear sight. Front barrel band and rear sight numbered 4112, bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 1013(g), triggerguard numbered 6884. Laminated stock (with relief for scope mount) has only a few contact marks from transport. Bore is extremely bright and strong. Includes front sight hood, cleaning rod, and correct leather sling with L&F marked buckle. Quite rarely encountered, not import marked. PHOTO . . . $1950. C&R
HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull long infantry rifle # 6922D (8x56R) mfg. by FÉG (Budapest) in 1916. Excellent refurbished to as-new condition, with 98% or better bluing and sharp and mirror-bright bore. Matching electro-penciled bolt, right side of stock also stamped 6922. Beech stock and handguard has a couple dings and dents from contact with adjacent rifles but is sound with no cracks, includes what I presume to be correct leather sling. HUNGARIAN Model 35M Huzagol bolt-action Mannlicher rifle # D-40539 (8x56R mm) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG) in 1940. Has been sporterized, what remains is in Very Good condition with a very bright, strong bore. Buttplate deeply stamped D-40539 (matching), no other parts numbered. Two-piece wood was cut forward of rear barrel band, and rear sling swivel (on left side of stock joint) has been removed. An unusual milsurp rifle that uses 1895 en-bloc clips and Mannlicher-style rotating bolt (the only turnbolt rifle in this caliber). Not import-marked, very rare, but unfortunately butchered. MEXICAN Model 1910 Mauser bolt-action rifle # SH619 (7x57) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Steyr (Austria) in 1912. Very Good condition, with 50% faded bluing on the external metal (receiver "in the white" as is proper for these). All-matching serial numbers. Bore is mostly bright with a little roughness, some pitting at wood line. Missing cleaning-rod, clear Mexican coat of arms above chamber. Stock and handguard were lightly sanded before we were born. MEXICAN Model 1910 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 26681 (7x57) mfg. by Fabrica Nacionale de Armas in 1933. Excellent condition, with full remaining bluing on the external metal. All-matching serial numbers (including bolt and stock). Bore is slightly rough and dark, but has strong rifling and may "shoot clean". Includes cleaning-rod, nice bold Mexican coat of arms above chamber. Stock and handguard are excellent with a few dings and handling-marks but way above average for a Mexican mauser. PERUVIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 16409 (rechambered to .30-06) mfg. by Fabrique Nationale in 1935. Very Good condition with traces of black-enamel paint on metal surfaces. Clear Peruvian crest (REPUBLICA PERUANA) atop chamber, .30 on rear of receiver. Matching bolt, no other parts are numbered. PORTUGUESE Model 1886 Kropatschek bolt-action infantry rifle # GG150 (8x60R Kropatschek) mfg. by Steyr in 1886. Near Excellent condition (85% blue) with very bright and strong bore. Bolt not matching (as usual, for some unknown reason). Completely functional with 8-shot tubular magazine and original cleaning-rod. Wood has original finish with visible 1886-dated Steyr cartouche on right side and circled cartouche containing crowned initials of King Luis I on left side. SOVIET Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 6410 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Tula in early 1920 (year struck over 1919). Excellent original condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts numbered 6410 (matching) including left side of stock. Stock and handguard has a few scuffs from use and storage, but is otherwise in VERY nice shape. Has unusual U-shaped sling swivels with cloth and leather sling (unusual, but rifle not Finnish-marked in any way). Also includes correct 1891 spike bayonet with locking ring (not numbered to rifle, however). A very early Soviet rifle in the finest obtainable condition, not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $925. SOVIET Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # DG6033 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts numbered (or renumbered) 6033 (matching, without letter prefixes), has bent bolt handle. 1943-dated refurbished PU scope numbered 4316762, same number stamped on left side of barrel shank. Stock and handguard has the inevitable scuffs in the shellac finish from use and storage, but is otherwise in nice shape. Optics are bright and clear. Not a reproduction, but the real deal. SWISS Model 1911 Schmidt-Rubin infantry rifle # 455907 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1918. All-matching serial numbers including magazine. Near Excellent condition, with 90% bluing intact on all metal parts (bottom of magazine and triggerguard worn). Bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong. Walnut stock and handguard has original finish with a few minor handling marks, St.G (St. Gallen) and APPENZELL (both Swiss cantons) stamped on top of butt. Includes brass and steel muzzle cap. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48/52 Mauser bolt-action SNIPER rifle # A21531 (8x57mm) mfg. c.1956. Very Good condition with 80% bluing.
