BRITISH Model No.4 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action rifle # R27036A (.303 British) mfg. by Maltby in 1942. Excellent condition, with full enameled surfaces and an excellent mirror-bright 2-groove bore.  Bolt, bottom of magazine and forend of stock stamped R27036A (matching).  Has 1-marked bolt-head, rear sight is the milled ladder type. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # Q747 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in June 1945. Very Good or better condition, with most bluing intact. No matching serial numbers.   Has very strong and mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Stock has a few scuffs and compressions.   PHOTOS . . . $625.     C&R   

CHINESE Model  "Chiang Kai-Shek" Mauser bolt-action rifle # H6125 (8mm), mfg. in 1940's. Basically a copy of the Mauser "Standard Modell" short rifle with fingergroove stock and straight bolt in Fair to Good condition with some remaining bluing.  Markings weak with several visible swastikas, no matching serial numbers, bore is dark and very rough. Stock and handguard shows some hard use but is sound, very deep cartouche on left side, three small holes drilled through stock (looks like it may have been once mounted on a wall for display). CHINESE Type 53 Mosin Nagant bolt-action carbine # 1361423 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 296 in February 1955. Very Good or better condition, with most bluing and a decent mostly bright bore.  Bolt not matching, but buttplate does and magazine floorplate renumbered 1423.  Stock and handguard has numerous handling marks but is sound. CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic rifle # 2308447 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 316 (Yunhe) in 1979.  Excellent-PLUS condition with no apparent wear at all.  All matching serial numbers (08447) on every numbered part, chrome-lined bore is mirror bright and strong.  Stock has only a few minor handling marks.  Includes cleaning rod, cleaning kit in butt-trap.   PHOTOS . . . $675.    NOT C&R     SOLD

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 217429 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1941 on an post-1898 receiver.   Very Good condition, with much bluing worn and an mostly bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 7429 to match, magazine floorplate also weakly stamped 7429 (matching).  Wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has a few scuffs and handling marks. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 30234 (7.62x54R), mfg. by VKT (Valmet) in 1941 on an post-1898 receiver.   Excellent condition, with full bluing and a very bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 0234 to match.  Wartime stock  (rounded finger joints) has some beautiful figure and a few dings and handling marks with a bold SAKO cartouche on right side. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 56666 (7.62x54R), mfg. by VKT (Valmet) in 1942 on an post-1898 receiver.   Excellent condition, with full bluing and a mirror bright bore.  Bolt-knob numbered 6666 to match.  Wartime stock  (rounded finger joints) has a few scuffs and two rectangular patch repairs on bottom of forend and two interesting "popsicle-stick" type repairs on either side. GERMAN Model HK91 pre-ban semiautomatic rifle # A023109 (.308 Winchester) mfg. by Heckler & Koch in 1980. Excellent-PLUS condition, appears as-new with very little (if any) signs of wear. INDIAN Enfield No.2A1 bolt-action "jungle carbine" # Y3449 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Ishapore Arsenal in 1968.  This has been shortened by Navy Arms and looks new and unissued with a beautiful walnut stock and handguards.  No matching serial numbers, bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong, includes correct web-sling and commercial 10-round magazine. JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 31209 6.5x50) mfg. at Tokyo Arsenal in c.1907.  Very Good condition with fading original bluing, no matching assembly or serial numbers. Intact mum, features open ladder rear sights, front sight with guards, and includes cleaning rod. Two-piece stock looks to having been smoothed a Century or so ago. Bore is extremely bright with strong rifling. Very early example, not import marked.   PHOTOS . . . $775.    C&R      SOLD

JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle # 1947940 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1932 as a Type 38 long rifle, and later modified at the Chigusa factory of Nagoya arsenal with shorter (25") barrel and stock.  Excellent condition with full bluing on all major metal parts. Mum has been ground, bore is extremely bright and strong. Bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 134 (not matching). Includes cleaning rod and sliding metal action cover (usually AWOL). Stock and handguard has original finish with scrapes, dings and other handling marks, includes reproduction leather sling with Japanese characters painted on bottom. EXTREMELY RARE and desirable configuration missing from most specialized Japanese collections.  PHOTO . . . $850.    C&R    

SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # ZHR3541 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1941. Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 96% or better bluing on all metal parts. All matching electropenciled serial serial numbers on bolt, magazine floorplate and buttplate. Bore is mirror-bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle).  Beautiful laminated buttstock has very few minor handling marks. Includes cleaning rod and correct web-sling. SOVIET Model 91/30 REPLICA PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 80504 (7.62x54R), rifle mfg. by Izhevsk in 1925 with hexagonal receiver.  Excellent refurbished condition with full bluing on all metal parts (barreled receiver has some porosity)  and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All serialized parts numbered (or renumbered) 80502, has bent bolt handle. Correct PU sniper rifles should be dated after 1942 with high-wall receivers. Reproduction PU scope number N4-838712 has excellent optics.  Includes leather lens-covers. Stock is really nice with great shellac finish, includes sling. A very good shooter, just not correct. SOVIET Model 38 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # TB1229 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Excellent arsenal refinished condition, with 96% or better bluing on all metal parts. All matching STAMPED serial serial numbers (with letter prefixes). Bore is a bit worn but still quite bright (has been counterbored at muzzle). SWISS Model K31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 970888 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1951. All-matching serial numbers (including magazine).  Very Good condition with 60% or better thinning bluing and a bright and strong bore. Wood is beech with usual dings, scrapes and handling marks in the finish. X 51 stamped beneath buttplate with soldier's tag. Includes sling.   PHOTO  . . . $625.      C&R      

U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine semiautomatic rifle # 3628666 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Saginaw Steering Gear (a division of General Motors) in Late 1943 with a 11-43 dated Underwood barrel.  Excellent condition, metal has mostly full Parkerized finish with a mirror bright bore and with 3.0 muzzle-wear. This features a flat-topped bolt, push-button safety, adjustable rear sight and late front band with bayonet-lug. Walnut M2 stock and handguard has quite a few dings and handling marks with a crossed-cannons cartouche on right side. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 98/48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # M755 (8mm) mfg. by the Nazis during WWII and rebranded at Zastava in c.1947/8.  Near Excellent condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 90% or better bluing on all metal components and a mirror-bright and strong bore. Top of receiver has Tito-era national crest, left side has PREDUZECE 44 and Mod 98/48.  All serial numbered parts except for rear sight are stamped 755.   Stock is laminated with a couple scuffs and cupped buttplate. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # Z5458 (8x57) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent condition, with full bluing. This is a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces with little apparent wear and a razor sharp mirror-bore. Slightly weak Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All matching serial numbers, with milled triggerguard and magazine-floorplate and straight bolt handle. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # G9901 (8x57) mfg. by Zastava in c.1950. Excellent condition, with full bluing. This is a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces with some apparent wear but a very bright and strong bore. Slightly weak Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. Stock matches receiver, but no other numbered part matches and the mismatched bolt is from a Yugo M48 with bent bolt having a flat-bottomed knob. Walnut stock and handguard has some handling marks. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48A Mauser bolt-action rifle # L41611 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1952. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on all metal components, Tito crest above receiver very bold. All serialized parts match receiver, Very sharp mirror-bright bore. Stock is elm with quite a few dings, few scratches and other handling marks. Wood is beech and looks new but has some scratches and dings from transportation and storage rather than actual use. Includes cleaning-rod and sling with quick-detach hook.
