Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better original painted finish (stoving) and mirror-perfect bore. All-matching serial numbers, Argentine crest on receiver is very bold. CHINESE Model FN24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 31903 (8x57) mfg. by Fabrique National in c.1930. Good or so condition, weak FN logo above chamber, much light scattered rust on small parts. Bolt not matching, bore is rough but usable. Stock is walnut with some handling marks from use and a heavy ding on right side but sound with no cracks, has very bold Nationalist Chinese cartouche on right side. Missing cleaning rod. CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # 3097709 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 26 in 1955. Very Good condition with 80% or better bluing on all metal parts. Magazine floorplate and buttplate serial number matches barrel, bolt does not (not unusual for these). Bore is extremely bright and strong. Buttstock and handguard has quite a few scuffs and scrapes in finish and looks weathered, but is sound. Balkan name SPIRO PERIKLHI carved into right side. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action 8mm rifle # 7745h having DEATH-HEAD marking (totenkopf, with runic SS letters and number 2 above) on left barrel-shank, made by Sauer & Son in 1939 (147 / 1939 markings atop receiver very faint). A Russian-capture in excellent condition, many small parts electropenciled to match receiver (and left side of stock stamped) by the Russians. Has all milled parts, cleaning rod a reproduction. Bore is bright and strong, import-marked on right side of barrel. Solid wood stock has quite a few handling-marks and scuffs in the finish and a cupped buttplate. INDIAN Enfield No.1 Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # 53271K (.303 British) mfg. by Ishapore in 1948 with detachable cup-type grenade-launcher. Very Good or better condition, with most remaining painted enamel finish (some of it flaking and the underlying metal turning brown) and a surprisingly mirror-bright 4-groove bore. Has all-matching serial numbers, soldered wire-wrapped forend reinforced with a bolt in front of magazine-well. W
ood has some scrapes and contact marks from other rifles, with a dovetailed arsenal repair at heel and toe and on the bottom ahead of magazine well. Magazine has no paint and is very browned. SIAMESE Model 1903 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 27417 (8x50), mfg. by Koishikawa Arsenal in 1903 with straight-bolt. Very Good or better condition, with 80% original hading bluing on all parts. Includes sliding action-cover but missing cleaning rod. Bore is somewhat bright with strong rifling, walnut stock and handguard has many scratches, dings and handling-marks but has never been subjected to sandpaper or other refinishing. SWISS Model 1878 Vetterli bolt-action infantry rifle # 152414 (10.4mm Swiss rimfire) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in c.1882. Near Excellent condition, all-matching numbers (and every part is numbered). All original blued finish with only the slightest carry-wear on magaine and triggerguard from actual service use. Bore is mirror-bright and has strong rifling. U.S.A. Model 1917 bolt-action rifle # 1166879 (.30-06) made by Eddystone in 1918. Excellent condition, with full bluing remaining on all external metal. Barrel is unmarked and likely made by VAR (Denmark). Bore is mirror bright and strong (TE = 1.5, MW = 0.5). Wood has the expected handling marks for a 102 year-old rifle and has NOT been sanded. This rifle was a lend-lease to both Canada and Denmark. The Canadians stamped a serial number atop the both (NOT matching) and an arrow in C cartouche on the bottom of the stock (mear magazine floorplate) and painted a red stripe on the forend (to indicate it was not chambered in .303 British), and The Danes stamped a serial number on the bottom of the stock (matching). U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine # 171493 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland in Spring of 1943. Very Good condition with 60% gray phosphate finish, has undated I.B.M. CORP marked barrel, STANDARD PRODUCTS marked stock-lug with push-button type safety and flat-top bolt. Early walnut high-wall buttstock has faint ordnance cartouche on right side and early front-band without bayonet-lug. U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine # 7105 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Alpine in 1962-1965. Excellent condition with 95% high-gloss bluing. Alpine was a commercial venture located in Azusa, California and these were manufactured utilizing surplus U.S.G.I. small parts and a cut-down surplus 1903-A3 Springfield barrel on a subcontracted cast receiver. It has a lever type safety and round-top bolt. Very nice walnut surplus buttstock with low-profile metal handguard and late front-band with bayonet-lug.
