BELGIAN Model 1935 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 10059 (7.65x53mm) mfg. in Liege in the late-1930's. Excellent condition with 95+% original bluing and a sharp mirror-bright bore. All-matching numbers, includes cleaning-rod.  Receiver marked MANUFACTURE D'ARMES DE L'ETAT with tangent-sight calibrated from 100-1900 meters. Stock has walnut figure, with only a few handling-marks and a small repair to left side and a hairline diagonal crack atop tang.  Not import-marked, scarce in the U.S. and rarely seen as nice as this example.  PHOTOS . . . $950.  C&R      SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 No.4 Old Model Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 5086G (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1916 with sling swivels on left side and a shorter handguard. Very Good condition, with 70% bluing (receiver in the white, which is proper for these). Bolt numbered 2606 (all bolt parts also samped 06), all other numbered parts stamped 86 (matching receiver). Bore is strong and quite bright. Stock is walnut added wood to left side of magazine.  Includes cleaning rod. Not import-marked, only 18,000 manufactured. PHOTOS . . . $525.    C&R      SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 No.4 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 5358J (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1911 with long handguard.   Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing. Bolt numbered 5358 (matching, all bolt parts also samped 58), all other numbered parts stamped 58 (matching receiver). Bore is strong and quite bright. Stock is walnut with 1913-dated HEMBRUG cartouche on right side. Missing cleaning rod. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $675.    C&R      SOLD

DUTCH Model 1895 No.5 Mannlicher bolt-action carbine # 8525G (6.5x53R) mfg. by Steyr in 1897 without handguard or bayonet lug (as issued).  Very Good condition with 90% or better bluing.  All matching serial numbered parts, bore is strong and quite bright. Stock is vivid tigerstriped walnut with faint Wilhelmina cartouche on right side. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $725.    Antique, no FFL required    

GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action DEPOT rifle # XII 6577 (8x57) mfg. at Wiesbaden in early 1940's.  Excellent condition, with 95% or so bluing, Nazi eagle are clear on left side of the receiver and barrel, with all matching serial numbers 6577 on all parts.  Receiver made by Walther, barrel made by Geco in 1939. Bore is shiny and strong, missing cleaning-rod. Stock has many faint contact marks but is otherwise magnificent. Not import marked, one of five currently known from this depot, and this serial number is recorded on page 825 of Karabiner 98k volume IIb by Karem & Steves (2017).  Excessively rare and authenticity is beyond reproach.  PHOTO . . . $3450.    C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 1086 (8mm) having TWO DEATH-HEAD marking (totenkopf, one with runic SS letters plus number 2 above, the second with coiled serpent above) on left barrel-shank.  This was originally a WWI-era Gewehr 98 made by uncertain manufacturer (top markings scrubbed, as usual) and reconfigured to the 98k configuration by the SS. A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 1086 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, Has solid front band, stamped rear band, the remaining small parts are milled. Laminated stock has quite a few handling-marks and scuffs in the finish and a flat buttplate.  A genuine operable Waffen SS rifle, authenticity of markings guaranteed, very rare. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 9290d (8mm) having TWO DEATH-HEAD marking (both with runic SS letters plus number 2 above) on left barrel-shank as well; as a plethora of interesting barrel markings as well as an eagle holding swastika.  This was originally a WWI-era Gewehr 98 made by uncertain manufacturer (top markings scrubbed, as usual) and reconfigured to the 98k configuration by the SS. A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 9290 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, Has stamped front band, the remaining small parts are milled. Laminated stock has quite a few handling-marks and scuffs in the finish and a cupped buttplate.  A genuine operable Waffen SS rifle, authenticity of markings guaranteed, very rare. GERMAN Model 98k bolt-action Mauser rifle # 7421 (8mm), having SSZZA4 marking on left side of barrel-shank  mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (factory code bnz) in 1943. A Russian-capture in Excellent-PLUS condition, small parts electropenciled to match receiver, laminated stock stamped 7421 by the Russians on left side. Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, all-milled parts, with flat buttplate. Import-marked TG KNOX TN 98K 8MM GERMANY on bottom of barrel.  Extremely rare, authenticity of SS markings absolutely guaranteed. PHOTOS . . . $1500.   C&R      SOLD

GERMAN Model 98/40 Huzagol bolt-action Mannlicher rifle # 1744 (8x57mm) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG, nazi code jhv) in 1941. An unusual milsurp rifle with Mauser-style magazine and Mannlicher-style rotating bolt (the bottom of the bolt-knob flattened and checkered). Excellent condition with 95% bluing intact. Bolt (and all bolt parts) numbered 7638b, which is also stamped on the left side of the action and bottom of stock (which makes it matching).  Bore is mirror-bright and very strong. All Nazi eagle / swastika markings very bold. Two-piece wood has some of the expected scuffs and dings, but retains its original finish. Includes original front sight hood, cleaning-rod and worn Nazi leather sling.   Not import-marked, very scarce. PHOTOS . . . $1950.    C&R      SOLD

GREEK Model 1903/14 Mannlicher-Schoenauer bolt-action infantry rifle # H7143 (6.5x54 M/S) mfg. by Breda in 1927. Yes, folks, this is the full-military version of the famed M/S rifle with its rotary magazine. Near Excellent condition with most bluing remaining. Greek crest very bold, bolt is mismatched (they always are, for some unknown reason), bore is mostly bright and very strong, no cleaning rod. The stock is quite sound and attractive with a few of the expected handling marks and a wide leather sling. Rare as Hell, not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $1200.*     C&R      SOLD

HUNGARIAN Model 43M Huzagol bolt-action Mannlicher rifle # A-20443 (8x57 mm) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG) in 1943.  Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing. All matching serial numbers, buttplate also deeply stamped A-20443 (matching).  Bore is very bright and strong. Two-piece wood has some dings and bangs from contact with other rifles but is otherwise sound.  An unusual milsurp rifle with Mauser-style magazine and Mannlicher-style rotating bent bolt (the bottom of the bolt-knob flattened and checkered). ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action infantry rifle # FK7192 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in 1895.  Excellent condition with 95% or so bluing, bore is mostly bright and strong. Has straight bolt with electro-penciled number (Carcano bolts were not originally numbered).  Stock has faint markings and is sound with no cracks. Includes cleaning rod. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 44 Arisaka bolt-action carbine # 63965 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1915.   Excellent condition with 95% or better original finish remaining. Bolt and all bolt parts is stamped 962 to match receiver, action cover mismatched (as usual),  Mum has been crudely ground off   Very strong and surprisingly bright bore. Stock has original finish with some of the expected handling marks. Functional and complete with attached spike-bayonet. No import-marks.   PHOTO . . . $2000.     C&R    

JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle Series 23, # 31841 (7.7x58) mfg. at Kokura in July 1943.thru March 1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing on all metal, mum has been ground (as usual). All matching numbers on all serial-numbered parts. Chrome-lined bore is very bright with sharp rifling. Cleaning-rod is present, as is rear sight aircraft wings. Original unsanded finish on wood with a few of the expected handling-marks, NAGASAKI JAPAN over 1945 carved by occupation soldier in right side. JAPANESE Type 2 Arisaka bolt-action Paratrooper takedown rifle # 16122 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in 1944. Truly Excellent condition with full original bluing, assembly numbers 256 on barrel half and 294 onback half (these were often stored separately). The lock is also numbered 294 (matching the back half).  Mum has been heavily ground (as usual), bolt (and all bolt parts) stamped 122 (matching receiver).  Stock has original finish with some of the expected contact marks, includes cleaning rod. PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # P4023 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1939 (1317 Anno Hijera), Excellent condition, with all-matching serial numbers. Internally perfect with a mirror-perfect bore, wood is highly polished walnut with some contact-marks, light scrapes and abrasions as well as an inventory stamp on left side.  PHOTOS. . . $950.     C&R      SOLD

PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # J5523 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Excellent condition with full bluing, all-matching serial numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original finish (browning in a few places) with a nice very bright bore, includes cleaning-rod. Stock has very few handling marks with some subtle tigerstripe figure and a noncritical hairline crack on forend. Includes hinged muzzle-cap and correct leather sling. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were slightly shortened and rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.   PHOTOS . . . $625.    C&R    SOLD

SERBIAN Model 1924 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # A10017 (8x57) mfg. by Kragujevac in c.1935.  Excellent condition, with full bluing on all parts (wear only on sharp corners and edges).. All matching serial numbers except fro bolt (which may have been sanitized).  Royal Serbian crest above chamber very bold and detailed. Bore is strong and very bright, stock is in excellent condition and  has very faint cartouche of Prince Paul (regent for King Peter II after 1934) on right side, includes cleaning-rod and worn sling. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 442832 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1917 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle.  Excellent condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.49/1).  All-matching numbers except cleaning rod (718). Walnut stock has the expected dings and handling-marks from actual use, range-plate tacked to right side.. Rear sight is the M/55 type wheel adjustable from 100 to 600 meters (usually only found on 41B snipers).  PHOTOS . . . $600.*   C&R      SOLD

SWEDISH Model 96/38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 40294 (6.5x55) mfg. by Mauser in 1900 with straight bolt and unthreaded muzzle.  Excellent condition, with 90% bluing on all major parts. Has strong markings and a bright and strong bore (bore disk indicating 6.50/0).  All visible serial numbers matching (294) except buttplate, cleaning rod not numbered.  Beech stock & handguard has original finish with a few minor handling-marks from actual use.  PHOTOS . . . $675.    C&R      SOLD

SWEDISH Model 38 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 644299 (6.5x55) mfg. by Husqvarna in 1942 with bent bolt and unthreaded muzzle.  Excellent condition, with 95% bluing on all parts. Model 1917 bolt-action rifle # 1063460 (.30-06) made by Eddystone in August 1918 with U.S. Navy markings.  Excellent condition, with nearly full blued (not Parkerized) finish remaining on all external metal. Bore is mirror bright and very strong (TE 1.0, MW 0.0).  Completely functional and very high quality for these, U.S.A.A cartouche on left side, U.S.N. below, another U.S.N. stamp on right side near buttplate. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # C3708093 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Smith-Corona in March, 1943 with SC 3-43 barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 1.0, MW = 0.5), includes front sight hood. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 3698404 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield in April, 1945 with replacement barrel; stamped SA 8-64.   Excellent condition, with full dark gray Parkerized finish remaining on all metal, bore is mirror bright (TE = 2.0, MW = 0.0) with very strong rifling and a bright chamber. All SA-marked parts with (relieved) SA op-rod. Walnut stock and handguard has only a few very minor handling marks with DOD 3 stars above eagle cartouche on left side. Includes correct leather sling.
