    BRITISH Enfield ShT LE Mk.III* bolt-action rifle # G7142 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1917. Very Good, with much remaining oil-blacked finish and a strong mostly bright bore. Back of bolt-handle is matching. Stock has been repaired from a long crack at bottom with three bolts that go through the stock from left to right, wood was refinished when repaired.     CANADIAN Enfield No.4 Mk.I* bolt-action rifle # 0C35915 (.303 British) mfg. by Savage-Stevens in 1942 with Canadian property-marks (arrow inside of large C) boldly stamped atop chamber. Excellent, metal nearly all original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 2-groove barrel, U.S. PROPERTY on left receiver-rail. Stocks has very few handling-marks, with pained numbers (date?) on left side ands includes green Enfield web-sling. Back of bolt handle numbered to match. Rear sight is the milled ladder-type.     CANADIAN Enfield C No.4 Mk.I* bolt-action rifle # 95L1194 (.303 British) mfg. by Long Branch arsenal in 1950. Excellent, metal nearly all original finish on all metal parts with an excellent mirror-bright bore with a 4-groove barrel. Stocks has a few heavy dings, scratches and handling-marks having been utilized for their intended purpose. Back of bolt handle numbered to match. Rear sight is the CMk3 stamped ladder-type.     FINN Model 1891 Dragoon Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 133 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Izhevsk in 1909 with [SA] Finn property-marking on left side of barrel-shank.  Very Good or so condition, metal a bit porous with quite a bit of original bluing remaining and legible markings. Bolt-body stamped 133 (matching barrel). Bore is somewhat bright and strong (is counterbored at muzzle). Russian one-piece stock has many dings and handling marks with A carved in left side and faint DEUTCHES REICHS cartouche on right side.     FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 545191 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1915 by New England Westinghouse with straight N.E.W. logo and intact Czarist eagle above, [SA] property mark on left side of barrel-shank. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing . Bolt NOT matching (646439), bore is strong and bright (NOT counterbored at muzzle), includes cleaning-rod.     FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 235187 (7.62x54R) mfg. in 1917 by Remington with [SA] property mark on left side of barrel-shank.  Near Excellent condition with 85% or better bluing . Bolt body NOT matching (13326), Remington cocking-knob numbered 2407564, magazine-floorplate and buttplate numbers scrubbed. Bore is strong and very bright (NOT counterbored at muzzle), includes cleaning-rod.One-piece Russian stock has a few dings and handling marks and metal sling-swivels along with very worn Finn leather sling.     FINN Model 91 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 34239 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by FN, Belgium on a hex receiver. Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing. Bolt knob numbered 4239 (matching barrel), bore is mirror-bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece Finn stock has some heavy dings, scrapes and other handling marks, right side has AV3 10613 rectangular cartouche with worn but correct green-leather sling with rectangular buckle.     FINN Model 24 Mosin-Nagant "Lotta" bolt-action rifle # S7875 (7.62x54R) stepped Bohler-Stahl barrel on a 1917-dated hex receiver. Near Excellent condition with 80% bluing. 7875 on bolt-knob (matching barrel), bore very bright and strong (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle), cute double-flower motif stamped on right side of barrel-shank, Civil Guard district number S80492 crossed-out on left flat of receiver, unit-marked with BB . 4 . 33 . stamped on right side of rear barrel-band. Includes cleaning-rod and metal sling-swivels with brown-leather sling having oval buckle.  Two-piece Finn stock has many scuffs and scratches from actual use, 6"x1 1/2" arsenal repair on left side at tang.     FINN Model 28 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 8401 (7.62x54R) on an 1896 dated Tula receiver with dual sling-slots. Near Excellent with 80% or better bluing. Bolt knob numbered 8401 (matching barrel), right side of barrel-shank stamped with Civil Guard district number S44460. Bore is a bit dark and rough, includes cleaning-rod and leather sling-swivels.     FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 223871 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by SAKO on a hex receiver. Good to Very Good condition with little remaining external bluing. Bolt-knob stamped 3871 to match, bore is mostly bright and strong, includes cleaning-rod. Three-piece wartime stock has quite a few handling marks, hairline crack at front of handguard. Good to Very Good condition with very little external blue remaining on metal parts but has a very bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate both numbered 7147 to match barrel, numbers on buttplate scrubbed, civil-guard numbers S140837 stamped on right side of barrel-shank at wood-line. Includes cleaning-rod, two-piece Finn stock is pretty beat up from actual use with a 1943-dated Civil Guard cartouche on right side, has V-shaped crack on right side of tang. Magazine floorplate both numbered 7415 to match barrel, bolt not matching, numbers on buttplate scrubbed, civil-guard numbers S6613 stamped on right side of barrel-shank at wood-line.     ITALIAN Model 1891 Mannlicher-Carcano cavalry bolt-action carbine # M5791 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in late 1936 (the XIV year of Mussolini) with folding spike-bayonet. Very Good or better condition, bore is very bright and strong, stock is numbered M5791 to match with some scuffs and dings but no cracks or anything major. Includes leather sling, not importer marked.  PHOTOS . . . $300.   C&R.   SOLD

    ITALIAN Model 91/28 Mannlicher-Carcano Truppi-Speciale bolt-action carbine # A6771 (6.5x52) mfg. by Beretta in late 1932 (the XI year of Mussolini). Very Good or better condition, bore is very bright and strong, stock is numbered A6771 with a few minor scuffs and dings but no cracks or anything major. Includes cleaning rod and correct leather sling, not importer marked.  PHOTOS . . . $300.   C&R.    

   JAPANESE Type 30 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle 343348 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1906. Very Good condition with most original bluing mottled from age, bore is strong but not very bright.  Mum has been struck-through several times but is legible. No matching serial numbers, bolt has hook-safety. Stock appears to have its original finish, includes cleaning rod, not import-marked. PHOTO . . . $425.    C&R   SOLD

    JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle # 00184808 (6.5x50) mfg. at Kokura in early 1920's and converted to a training rifle somewhat later. Excellent condition with nearly full original bluing, bore is dark. Mum has been overstruck with several o's and Kanji for "school" is struck immediately below. No numbered parts matching. Includes original cleaning rod, open V-type ladder rear sights and somewhat rusty action cover. Wood has original finish with very few handling marks, not import-marked.     JAPANESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle 27th Series, # 36787 (6.5x50) mfg. at Nagoya in early1939. Excellent condition with nearly full original bluing and bright and strong bore.  Mum is intact. All numbered parts stamped 787 to match except for action-cover (079). Includes original cleaning rod, peep-type ladder rear sights and what appears to be an original, supple Type 38 brown leather sling with rectangular brass buckle.     JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle Series 5, # 25092 (7.7x58) mfg. at Nagoya in late 1941. Excellent condition with all original bluing intact, bore has some rough areas but rifling is strong. Mum is intact, all matching numbers including all bolt parts (action-cover numbered 144). No cleaning rod or monopod, but retains its anti-aircraft rear sights. Wood looks to have been repaired from shrapnel damage and refinished long ago. Not import-marked.     PERSIAN Model 98/29 rifle # P8706 (8x57) mfg. by Brno in 1939. Excellent-PLUS condition, with all-matching serial numbers. Nearly flawless with 100% bluing and a mirror-perfect bore, wood is walnut with a gorgeous furniture-type finish and only a very few handling marks from contact with adjacent rifles, inventory number 97 stamped on left side.     POLISH Model 44 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # BD15125 (7.62x54R) mfg. at Radom in 1952. Very Good original condition with 70% or better bluing on all metal parts and a very bright very strong bore. Magazine-floorplate matches barrel, bolt and buttplate does not.     POLISH Model wz48 Mosin-Nagant single-shot bolt-action training rifle # BR6311 (.22 LR) mfg. by Radom in 1955. Excellent condition with 95% bluing on all metal parts and an excellent mirror-bright and strong bore.     PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # B4138 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Excellent condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original bluing with a nice mirror-bright bore, includes cleaning-rod. Walnut stock has arsenal repair near toe.  Includes original hinged nuzzle-cap.  Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle.     TURKISH Model 1938 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 35942 (8x57), arsenal refurbished at Ankara in 1949. Very Good condition, with 70% faded bluing on barrelled receiver, only traces of brown bluing on triggerguard, magazine-floorplate and barrel-bands. Has very strong markings. bolt not matching (as usual) and a strong mostly bright bore. Walnut stock & handguard has some of the expected handling marks but is sound without cracks.     YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48A Mauser bolt-action rifle # L55292 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in c.1952. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing on the metal surfaces and a sharp mirror-bore. Sharp Tito-era Yugoslavian crest above chamber. All-matching numbers, with stamped triggerguard and magazine-floorplate, knob of bolt has flattened bottom. Stock is straight-grained teak with virtually no handling marks. Includes cleaning-rod and front sight-hood, as well as bayonet and scabbard, bayonet frog, sling, cleaning-kit and ammo-pouches, all housed in a white MITCHELL'S MAUSERS box numbered to this rifle.
