    AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 4863D (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr. Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 100% or better bluing, all numbered parts 4863. Bore is very bright and strong. Stock has a few very minor scuffs and other usual handling-marks. PHOTOS . . . $475.     C&R     SOLD

    BRITISH Pattern 14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # W91973 (.303 British) mfg. by Winchester in c.1915. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better Suncorite (black enamel) finish. Bore is strong and quite bright, top of bolt stamped 91973 to match receiver. Walnut stock has really good finish with very few handling-marks, a brass unit-disk set into the right side, arsenal repairs to heel by buttplate.  Front sight missing its indicator (as usual), but rear folding volley sight is intact.     BRITISH Enfield No.4 Mk.2 bolt-action rifle # PF309054 (.303 British) mfg. by Fazakerly in June 1953. Excellent-PLUS condition, basically an all-matching new "Irish-contract" rifle that was unwrapped from cosmoline, cleaned, and perhaps fired a few times. Perfect mirror-bore, nice metal with a few scuffs on wood but no real signs of wear and a 2-markled bolt-head. All-matching serial numbers, nearly as nice as is obtainable for these.     BULGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher bolt-action straight-pull carbine # 1662 (8x56R) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG) in 1909.  Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 99% or better bluing, Bold Bulgarian crest (rampant lion in shield) on top of receiver, BUDAPEST 1909 remains on left side rail.  Bore is mirror bright and very strong. Stock has very minor dings and other handling-marks. Not import-marked, VERY attractive,  PHOTOS . . . $575.     C&R      SOLD

    DUTCH Model 1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali rifle # 684G (11x52R) mfg. by J. F. J. Bar, Delft in 1885. Very Good condition, with an excellent, very bright strong rifled bore. External metal was "in the white" and most of it has turned brown but shows little actual wear, Wood retains original finish with awesome cartouche of crowned W (for King William III, reigned 1849-1890) flanked by flowers, DELFT above and date 1886 at sides. All-matching serial numbers (684).  Mechanically sound (including functioning magazine-disconnect). Stock is sound with no cracks, no cleaning rod (these were removed when the Vitali magazine was retrofitted in 1891),  I would not hesitate to shoot it this rifle if I had any ammo at all (.43 Egyptian ammo can be safely used if no Beaumont ammo can be found).     DUTCH Model 1895 Knil bolt-action cavalry carbine # 6768B (6.5x53R) mfg. by Hembrug in 1919 with saddle ring and sling swivels on left side and no handguard.   Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing throughout. All matching serial numbered parts stamped 6768. Bore is strong and quite bright. Stock is walnut with added wood to left side of magazine, very bold 1920-dated HEMBRUG cartouche containing W (for Queen Wilhelmina, reigned 1892-1949) on right side with brass unit bar below inscribed Dep.     FINN Model 91 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 166540 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1897 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition, 95% bluing remaining. Bolt numbered 166540 (matching), magazine floorplate and buttplate isn't matching either (usual for Finn rifles). Bore is strong and mostly bright, has been counterbored at muzzle to increase accuracy. Two piece Finn stock has metal sling-swivels.     FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 72816 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1940 on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking.  Excellent condition, with 95% or better bluing and an excellent mirror-bright bore.  Bolt knob numbered 2816 (matching) Stock has only some light scratches with Model 27 leather sling.     FRENCH Model 1892 Berthier bolt-action mousquetoon # F96078 (8x50R) made by St. Ettienne in 1894. Very Good original condition with 70% or better blued finish on all metal and a decent wood stock without any repairs. All serial numbered parts matching 96078. Has strong mostly bright bore with N-marked chamber and barrel. Not import-marked, includes one 3-round en-bloc clip and very worn leather sling.     FRENCH Model 16 Berthier bolt-action mousquetoon # BD4690 (8x50R) made by Tulle in 1916  with 1925-dated Châtellerault replacement barrel. Very Good original condition with 70% or better blued finish on all metal and a decent wood stock with a couple arsenal repairs on forend and toe. All serial numbered parts matching 4690, has extended 5-round magazine.  Strong mostly bright bore with N-marked chamber and barrel.     FRENCH Model 1907-15 Berthier bolt-action infantry rifle (no serial number) (8x50R Lebel) mfg. by Remington in 1917.   Near Excellent condition, with nearly fill bluing on external metal   No serial-number on any parts, as this is from the group of rifles the French never paid for and Remington sold on the surplus market after the war.     FRENCH Model 1936 MAS bolt-action rifle # K99327 (7.5x54 MAS) mfg. by St. Ettienne in 1945. Excellent refurbished condition with full black enamel finish on all metal and a nice wood stock. Strong, mirror-bright bore, bolt and magazine floorplate not matching.  Stock and triggerguard numbered 99327 (matching),  Includes integral spike-bayonet and excellent tan leather sling.     GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 2198i (8x57mm) mfg. by Sauer & Son (factory code ce 42) in 1942.  A Russian reworked 98k in Excellent condition with all-milled parts and a cupped buttplate. Bore is very sharp and mirror-bright. Nazi eagles are tiny (as usual on Sauer-made rifles) but clear. External metal has full bluing, some pinprick porosity on receiver. Laminated stock has a thick shellac finish and a few handling-marks, faint eagle above H cartouche on right side, Has reproduction  cleaning rod, no locking screws on action bolts (as usual with these).     GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 1824p (8x57mm) mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 43) in 1943.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with full rebluing. Nazi eagles on barrel and receiver clear. Has all parts electro-penciled 1824 to match receiver, the front band is milled solid, the magazine floorplate is stamped. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Laminated wood buttstock has scrapes and scratches in the thick shellac and a faint eagle holding swastika above WaA135 on right side. Number 4051 stamped on left side (not matching) with cupped buttplate. Includes reproduction cleaning rod, front sight hood, and repro leather sling with buckle. PHOTO . . . $950.   C&R     SOLD

    GERMAN Model 98k Mauser Single rune bolt-action rifle # 1800 (8x57mm) assembled in the Mauthausen Concentration Camp with parts made by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (code bnz 43) in 1943.  A Russian reworked rifle in Excellent condition, with full rebluing. Nazi eagles on barrel and receiver clear. Has all parts electro-penciled 1800 to match receiver, the front band is milled solid, the magazine floorplate is stamped. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright. Solid wood buttstock has thick shellac and a faint eagle holding swastika above WaA135 on right side.  Missing cleaning rod  (nice repro rods available from us for $12.00 each).     GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 7630af (8x57mm) mfg. by Brno (code dot 44) in 1944.  Excellent refinished condition, was heavily buffed before bluing, the barrel-bands are heavily browned.  Nazi eagles with swastikas intact on barrel and receiver. Has all-milled parts except stamped triggerguard. The bore is excellent and mirror-bright, the bolt (and all bolt parts) stamped 7630 (matching), the remainder numbered parts not matching. Laminated buttstock has eagle holding swastika on right side and a flat buttplate. No front sight-hood but has cleaning rod   PHOTO . . . $1500.   C&R     SOLD

    HUNGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 1038B (8x56R) mfg. by Femaru Fegever (FÉG) in 1932.   Excellent condition, arsenal refinished with 100% or better bluing. Bolt electro-penciled 1038, bore is very strong with some brightness, BUDAPEST stamped atop receiver.     ISRAELI Model 66s Mauser bolt-action SNIPER rifle # 48751 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Mauser in c.1970.  Excellent condition, with excellent and mirror-bright bore, the bolt electropenciled 48751 (matching). Includes issue 6x42 M-118 scope with very clear optics and heavy bipod.  Extremely large thumbhole stock (with MAUSER logo) has only a few handling marks and is sound. Comes with the importer (Springfield Armory) certificate of Authenticity dated 4/17/2000 and numbered box of issue. Extremely rare and in very high demand.  PHOTO . . . $7,500.   C&R     

    JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action infantry rifle Series 6, # 54217  (7.7x58) mfg. at Kokura in Octordber 1943.thru January 1944. Excellent condition with full original bluing on all metal, mum has been defaced with a chisel (as usual) but is mostly visible. All matching numbers on all serial-numbered parts. Chrome-lined bore is very bright with sharp rifling. Cleaning-rod is present. Original unsanded finish on wood with a few of the expected handling-marks, PHOTO . . . $675.    C&R      SOLD

    U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # Z3877225 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Remington in May 1943 with RA 5-43 barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 2.5, MW = 1.5).  Walnut stock has FJA and RA cartouches as well as crossed cannon cartouche on left side. Some moderate handling marks from actual service use.  Not import-marked, it is unknown what exactly the added Z in the serial number may signify.  PHOTOS . . . $1225.    C&R     SOLD

    U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1145714 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in January 1943 with SA 2-55 replacement barrel.  Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish on all metal and having a bright and very strong bore with tight muzzle (TE = 2.0, MW = 0.5).  Trigger group has SA components with WRA trigger guard, with unaltered SA-marked op rod.  Walnut stock and handguard has bold E McF and crossed cannons cartouches on left side and many scrapes from actual service use on the wood. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1510502 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in April 1943 with SA 12-64 replacement barrel.  An Anniston Army depot 5-65 rebuild in Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish on all metal and having a bright and very strong bore with tight muzzle (TE = 1.0, MW = 0.0).  Trigger group has HRA components, with relieved SA-marked op rod. Has birch buttstock and handguards without cartouche on left side and some rather moderate handling marks on the wood. Not import-marked,  with CMP certificate of authenticity.     YUGOSLAVIAN Model 48 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K6876 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1951. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing and a sharp mirror-bore. Weakly struck Tito-era crest above chamber, all-matching serial numbers with all milled small parts. Bent bolt has flattened bottom.
