AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action long rifle # 5171U (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917. Good to Very Good condition, original finish with very little remaining bluing on upper (was harshly cleaned), most bluing remaining on triggerguard and barrel-bands by quite faded, some minor pitting on metal at wood-line. Bore is very strong but not very bright. Stock is matching, but was lightly sanded very long ago and has seen its share of heavy handling marks over the past 103 years, handguard has has long crack repaired. Not import-marked. Very Good condition, original finish with faded bluing on all metal parts. Bore is very strong and quite bright. Bolt-knob and stock is numbered to match, some handling marks but nothing major. Excellent arsenal-refinished to as-new condition. Bore is mostly bright with very strong rifling. All matching serial numbers on all numbered parts. BULGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action long rifle # 8544E (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1903. Very Good condition, original refinish with most bluing remaining (fading on smaller parts from contact with acidic body oils). Bulgarian crest consisting of rampant lion in shield above chamber. Bore is very strong but not very bright. Bolt not numbered, stock numbered 8544E on left side. Buttstock has quite a few handling marks and two VVV markings on right side. Not import-marked. BULGARIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 413B (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1904. Good or better condition, original finish with very little bluing remaining. Bulgarian crest consisting of rampant lion in shield above chamber. Bore is very strong but dark. Bolt knob stamped 7102. Very Good condition with 70% or better faded external bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. Wood is walnut with usual dings, scrapes and handling marks in the finish, II 43 stamped beneath buttplate. Near Excellent condition with 85% or better external bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. Wood is beech with some dings, scrapes and handling marks in the finish (primarily on the left side), XII 63 stamped beneath buttplate. Includes property tag of Zürich Armory under buttplate. YUGOSLAVIAN Model M95M Mannlicher straight-pull short rifle # 25592 (8x57mm), made by Steyr (undated). Near Excellent condition, with 85% or better bluing and a mirror bright and very strong bore. All matching serial numbers (the first matching M95M I've ever encountered, as the bolts are ALWAYS mismatched for some unknown reason). Stock has very few dings and handling marks, extractor works just fine, and internal magazine clip is present. Not import-marked, very rare. PHOTO . . . $1450. C&R SOLD
CANADIAN Model 1905 bolt-action straight-pull infantry rifle # 871 (.303 British) mfg. by Ross Rifle Co. in c.1906 with U.S. property-marks behind triggerguard. Very Good or better condition with most bluing on receiver and most remaining metal parts with a mirror-bright bore and extremely strong rifling. Bolt still has some fading case-colors, rifle remains in its original military configuration (most remaining have been sporterized). Nicely flame-figured walnut stock has not been sanded, U.S. cartouches on the bottom of stock behind triggerguard has ordnance bomb and 871 U.S. serial number. Includes correct but quite rusted bayonet (dated January 1910, also with deep U.S. property marks) and 1941-dated no-Ross scabbard that fits bayonet perfectly. With repro leather Model 1905 sling. CHINESE Model 56 SKS semiautomatic rifle # B2543 (7.62x39), made at Factory 26 in c.1988 with blade-bayonet. Excellent-PLUS condition, essentially AS NEW with full bluing and all-matching serial numbers. Has gorgeous chrome-lined bore, buttstock has been refinished with Tru-Oil with several minor scuffs on left side. Includes Chinese-marked sling and cleaning kit in butt. PHOTOS . . . $450. EGYPTIAN Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 16979 (8x57), mfg. in the mid-1950's by Fabrique National in Belgium. Near excellent overall with bold Crown crest above chamber and nearly full original Parkerized finish, action-cover serial number does not match receiver. Excellent very bright bore, walnut stock has somewhat some tigerstriped figure and quite a few of the usual handling marks. 100% functional, these are getting to be VERY scarce. PHOTOS . . . . $1275. FRENCH Model 1949-56 MAS semiautomatic rifle # H05181 (rechambered by Century Arms to 7.62 NATO / .308 Winchester) manufactured at St. Etienne in c.1965. Near Excellent condition, with nearly all Parkerizing intact and very little signs of wear. Has great mirror-bright bore. Includes two ten-round magazines and sling.
