FINN Model 39-57 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action TARGET rifle # 504493 (7.62x54R) with 1943 SK.Y barrel. This is a standard M39 Civil Guard rifle that was configured into a match target rifle by milling the left side of the receiver to accept an aperture rear sight, the left side of the stock being inlet to accept that sight, the right side being inlet for the radically bent bolt-handle these target rifles had. It was subsequently reconfigured at a later date back to the standard M39 configuration and fitted with an unmarked straight bolt. Near Excellent condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore. Nearly full bluing on exposed metal surfaces, exterior of receiver, rear sight base and magazine lightly pitted but sound. Missing rear sling-swivel and sling-bar (those were not used when configured as a target rifle). Extremely rare and all but unknown in the U.S.A. While it doesn't have the fancy stock associated with the later (and much more common) 28-76 target rifle, it utilized the standard M39 stock with modifications. . . PHOTOS . . . $1750. C&R
GERMAN Gewehr 88/05 Commission bolt-action rifle # 9146g (8x57JS) mfg. by Danzig in 1891. No matching numbers (as usual). Barrel and receiver S-marked, bore is mirror-bright. Walnut stock has no finish (was sanded long ago) and is a little scuffed-up but sound. Rear sight graduated with Arabic numbers. Completely functional, I would not hesitate to shoot this (however I DO NOT recommend any firing military ammo in it, only modern U.S.-manufactured commercial loads in it rather than milsurp ammo). Includes cleaning rod, not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $475. Antique, no FFL required SOLD
