FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 52474 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1938 on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking.  Excellent overall condition, with full bluing on barreled receiver, magazine and triggerguard has much less  Bore is mirror-bright and extremely strong.  Bolt knob numbered 2474 (matching) Stock has only some light scratches but the handguard has a 6" crack at the top.  Very attractive.    PHOTOS . . . $1250.      C&R      

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 216378 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1944 by SAKO. Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing and a mirror-bright bore. Bolt-knob stamped 6378 (matching).  Includes cleaning-rod and worn leather sling with oval buckle. Wartime stock (rounded finger joints) has lovely figuring and a bold SAKO gear cartouche on right side, many small dings and handling marks on stock and a very decent gouge on the right side of the handguard (pictured). FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 28137 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1941 by VKT on a scrubbed hexagonal receiver. Very Good condition with very little original bluing remaining. Bolt-knob and magazine floorplate stamped 8137 (matching). Bore is excellent and mirror-bright, includes cleaning-rod. Wartime stock (rounded finger joints) has nice many dings and handling marks but is sound. Not real pretty, but a really good "shooter". PHOTOS . . . $525.    C&R      SOLD

FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 500930 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by SAKO on an 1896 dated Tula receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking. Good condition with basically no remaining bluing. Bolt-knob numbered 0930 (matching).  Bore is quite bright and strong (and NOT counterbored at muzzle). Includes cleaning-rod. Stock is quite beat up from actual use, beautifully figured handguard has 4" crack on top (easily repairable) and there is an arsenal repair at tang..  PHOTOS . . . $675.     Antique, no FFL required       SOLD

FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 501976 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1942 by SAKO on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking. Excellent-PLUS condition with 99% or better bluing. Bolt-knob numbered 1976 (matching).  Bore is extremely strong and mirror-bright (is counterbored at muzzle for increased accuracy). Includes cleaning-rod and very worn leather sling. Birch stock hasa only a few light handling marks with clear 1942-dated Civil Guard cartouche on right side. Quite literally unimprovable!  PHOTOS . . . $1250.    C&R      SOLD

FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action SNIPER rifle # 74829 (7.62x54R) mfg. by VKT in 1944 with an undated SVT scope having clear optics in a PU mount.  Before you get too excited, this is one of the rifles Century International Arms added a spare surplus Soviet PU or SVT scope to in the early 1990's and offered as a "sniper" to the uninformed.  Rifle is in Excellent-PLUS condition with full external bluing , bore is mirror bright and strong (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle).  Long bent sniper-style bolt is numbered 74829 on side to match barrel, includes cleaning-rod. Two-piece wartime stock has 1943-dated Civil Guard cartouche on right side with very few of the usual dings and scratches from transportation and storage.  Includes non-standard leather sling and leather lens-caps for the scope,  A very accurate shooter, original Finn snipers are incredibly rare and are never seen in the marketplace, so these is the only way to own one. GERMAN Model K43 semiautomatic rifle with correct zfk 43 scope # 1866d (8mm) mfg. by Berliner-Lübecker-Maschinenfabrik (code qve) in 1945. Very Good condition, no serial numbers matching. Mostly bright bore with strong lands & grooves, 60% or better faded blued finish, laminated stock and handguard has some dings and scratches from actual use. Has sliding action-cover and front sight hood (likely a reproduction) as well as cleaning rod. Includes aye code G43 magazine (with usual chipping enamel) and correct 98k leather sling.  ZFK 43 scope  with repro leather scope caps and a wood plug has excellent optics, the mount is 1947-dated Czech issue. Likely saw Czech postwar service, with numbers painted on both sides of stock.  Not import-marked.  PHOTOS . . . $3750.    C&R     SOLD

LUXEMBOURG Model FN-49 Saive semiautomatic rifle # 1896 (.30-06) mfg. by Fabrique National  in 1950.  Very Good condition with 75% chipping black-enamel finish,  A parts rifle with no matching serial numbers. Bore is gorgeous and mirror-bright, AL stamped above chamber.  Nice walnut stock with only a few of the expected handling-marks. Only 6,000 FN-49 rifles were made for Luxembourg, and .30-06 is the most desirable chambering in this model rifle. Not import-marked PHOTOS . . . $1450.     C&R      SOLD

SOVIET Model 91/30 PU SNIPER Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # HB4697 (7.62x54R), mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943 with struck-through scope number on left side of barrel shank.  A Molot refurbished original sniper in Excellent-PLUS condition with full bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle).  All serialized part stamped HB3697 (matching).   PU scope has clear optics, rifles serial number (HB4697) and scope number (b-44004) electro-penciled on left side of lower scope mount.   Includes leather lens caps and cloth scope cover.  PHOTOS . . . $1150.*    C&R         SOLD

SOVIET Model SVT-40 Tokarev semiautomatic rifle # AL3703 (7.62x54R), mfg. at Tula in 1941. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with a strong mostly bright bore. Numbers on parts (except magazine) electro-penciled to match barrel during refurb, receiver is grooved for scope-mount, features 12-slotted muzzle-break. Stock and handguard have very few handling marks and has all remaining Russian shellac intact,  Includes cleaning-rod, 10-round magazine and SVT-40 bayonet and scabbard in as-new condition. Numbers on parts (except magazine) electro-penciled to match barrel during refurb, receiver is grooved for scope-mount, features 12-slotted muzzle-break. Stock and handguard have very few handling marks and has all remaining Russian shellac, with one barely visible arsenal-repair on left side. Includes cleaning-rod and 10-round magazine. Genuine SVT-40 Scope with clear optics has leather lens caps. Mount is a faithful reproduction and is secured by notch which has been filed cross top of receiver (not original, but functions perfectly). A gorgeous example. SWEDISH Model 96B Mauser bolt-action rifle # 6566 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf  in 1899 with straight-bolt and threaded muzzle (with metal thread protector that still allows a bayonet to be affixed).  Excellent-PLUS condition, with 95% original bluing on all parts. Has very strong markings and a very bright and strong bore (disk marked 6.51/1).  All-matching numbers except bolt-shroud (692), no number on cleaning-rod. Rear of receiver has been drilled and tapped (in Sweden) for aperture target sights. Beech stock with Walnut handguard seems to have its original finish, with only a few compressions and nicks from contact with other rifles. PHOTOS . . . $575.*    C&R      SOLD

SWISS Model K-31 Schmidt-Rubin short rifle # 240269 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1955. All-matching serial numbers including magazine. Near Excellent condition with 85% or better external bluing and a perfect, mirror bore. Wood is beech with usual dings, scrapes and handling marks in the finish, II 50 stamped beneath buttplate. U.S.A. Model 1860 Smith saddle-ring percussion carbine # 9791 (.50 caliber rubber cartridge)  mfg. by American Machine Works in c.1863.  Good overall condition, with much external pitting but bore is mirror bright with very bold rifling and break-open action and trigger mechanism is totally functional. ADDRESS / POULTNEY & TRIMBLE / BALTIMORE U.S.A. is stamped on left side above saddle ring, military inspector stamped still clear on left side of butt.  This was the fourth most popular carbine of the Civil War, with 30,000 produced.   Not import-marked.   PHOTOS . . . $1250.    Antique, no FFL required       SOLD

U.S.A. Model 1865 Spencer saddle-ring repeating lever-action carbine # 16581 (.50 caliber rimfire)  mfg. by Burnside Rifle Company in 1865 with Stabler cut-off lever inside triggerguard. Very Good overall condition, with some areas of external roughness but bore is extremely bright with very bold rifling. Mechanics are extremely functional as is 7-round magazine that feeds from the buttplate.   Some minor wood loss on right side.  The most popular carbine of the Civil War, with 23,000 of this model produced.   Not import-marked.   PHOTOS . . . $2450.    Antique, no FFL required       SOLD

Model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield CADET rifle # 215735 (.45-70) mfg. by Springfield Arsenal in 1882.  Near Excellent condition with most external bluing remaining (breech block has faint case colors). U.S.A. Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield rifle # 268636 (.45-70) mfg. by Springfield Arsenal in 1885 with bold 1884 dated cartouche on left side of stock. Very Good overall condition with most external bluing remaining. Bore is extremely bright and very strong.  Sound walnut stock has boxed SWP 1884 cartouche as well as very interesting DETROIT BOARD OF COMMERCE (!) rectangular cartouche on left side towards butt on left side. Includes very worn leather sling. U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action rifle # 246805 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in February, 1900.  Near Excellent condition with most bluing turning brown (as usual). U.S.A. Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen bolt-action shortened rifle # 196636 (.30-40 Krag) mfg. by Springfield Armory in May, 1899.  Very Good or so condition with most bluing weathered brown. Bore is slightly rough but strong. Stock and barrel cut-down with 1903-type front sight affixed, likely by Bannerman in the 1910's (when he had many tens of thousands of these to get rid of).  Not import-marked, functional and reportedly a very good "shooter",   PHOTOS . . . $525.      C&R        SOLD

Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 322542 (.30-06) mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal in 1919 (high number) with replacement SA 11-42 dated barrel.  Excellent or better condition with all external Parkerized finish remaining, Bore is mirror-bright (TE =3.0, ME = 2.0). Finger-grooved walnut stock has faint ordnance cartouches and only a few of the expected scratches, compressions, and other handling marks from actual use in service. U.S.A. Model 1903 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3120168 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Remington in May 1942 with RA 5-42 barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% olive Parkerizing on all metal. U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 4208866 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Remington in 1943 with RA 8-44 barrel.  Excellent condition with 95% light gray Parkerizing on all metal. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 1.0, MW = 0.5).  Bolt handle has 8866 inscribed on top of handle. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1713425 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in July 1943 with HRA 2-52 replacement barrel.  Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish on all metal and having a bright and very strong bore with tight muzzle (TE = 2.5, MW = 2.0).  Trigger group has SA components, with relieved IHC-marked op rod and IHC bolt. Has walnut stock and handguards with faint (but clear) NFR / SA cartouche on on left side and some rather moderate handling marks on the wood. Not import-marked, . U.S.A. Model M1 Carbine semiautomatic rifle rig # 4937478 (.30 Carbine) mfg. by Inland Division of General Motors in Spring 1944 with undated Winchester barrel.  Excellent condition, metal has mostly full Parkerized finish with a mirror bright bore and with 1.0 muzzle-wear. This features a flat-topped bolt, flip-type safety, M-marked magazine release, adjustable rear sight and late front band with bayonet-lug. High-wood walnut stock and handguard has some handling marks. Includes one 15-round unmarked magazine (only where legal), a web sling with oiler, J L & L 1943 dated magazine pouch, and a 1944 dated web muzzle cover by E.A. Brown Mfg.
