ALBANIAN Model SKS semiautomatic carbine # 05429-70 (7.62x39) mfg. at Umgramsh military arms factory in 1970. Excellent condition, with 99% or better bluing on metal. All matching serial numbers, with mirror-bright chrome-lined bore. A clean example with significant scrapes and scratches on the right side stock from handling and storage, but little signs of actual use. Includes folding spike-bayonet and cleaning rod. BRITISH Mark I* Snider-Enfield saddle-ring carbine conversion of an 1853 Enfield musket # 3134 (.577 Cartridge) mfg. by Enfield in 1870. Very Good or better condition, entirely functional with surprisingly strong and mirror bright bore. External metal browned, original buttstock sound without cracks or splits, brass buttplate stamped R8 / K / 52. All English made with a considerable number of proofs. BRITISH Martini-Henry Mark II short-lever single-shot rifle # 25 on bottom of forend (.577/450) mfg. by British Small Arms in 1876. A "Zulu War" era rifle Very Good or better condition with some external finish remaining. All markings very strong and clear. All original (not a Khyber-pass or copy) and 100% functional with a mostly bright bore that has very strong rifling. Left side of barrel beneath rear sight marked N.S over NEP (Native Srvice, Nepal). Rear sight is a leaf adjustable from 100-1200 yards. Original stock in quite good shape with no cracks or arsenal repairs, many arsenal stamps and several Nepali stamps on left side. BRITISH Martini-Henry Mark III short-lever single-shot carbine (converted from rifle) # A2752 (.303 British) marked on right side of receiver as mfg. by British Small Arms in 1901 but most likely a Khyber Pass copy as no other proof markings present (and Queen Victoria died in January of that year). Excellent condition with full heavily polished and blued finish with a bright bore that has very strong rifling. Rear sight is a leaf adjustable from 600-1800 yards but lacks its slider. Original stock in quite good shape with small (1/3" x 1") arsenal repair on left side, faint arsenal stamps on right side. No cleaning rod. Completely functional, very tiny import-mark below barrel. BRITISH Pattern 14 "Enfield" bolt-action rifle # 508624 (.303 British) mfg. by Eddystone in c.1915. Near Excellent condition with 90% or better blued finish. Bore is strong and quite bright, Walnut stock has original finish with few handling-marks. Both volley sights have been removed, but front one still retains its dial. Includes leather sling. BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # R6535 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in September, 1945. Very Good or better condition, with most finish intact on external metal. Bolt handle stamped R6535 (matching). Has mirror-bright 5-groove bore and 0-marked bolt-head. Stock has some handling marks and scuffs but is sound with painted unit marks on left side. CHILEAN Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle # E2549 (7x57) mfg. by Loewe in 1895. Excellent-PLUS condition, with 98% original deep bluing on all metal parts. Chilean crest above chamber is a bit weak but clear. All-matching numbers (including bolt, stock and cleaning-rod). Bore is exceptional and mirror-bright. CHINESE Type 38 Arisaka bolt-action short rifle # 1139928 (rechambered to 7.62x39) mfg. at Nagoya in c.1920 as a Type 38 long rifle, and later modified at the Chigusa factory of Nagoya arsenal with shorter (25") barrel and stock. Excellent condition with full bluing on all major metal parts. Mum has been ground, bore is extremely bright and strong. No matching serial numbers (these were originally matched by assembly numbers instead of serial numbers anyway), Chinese assembly number 22 stamped on both upper and lower tangs as well as trigger guard. Missing cleaning rod, walnut stock and handguard has original finish with scrapes, dings and other handling marks, oval brand of Chinese character for "people" between two stars on right side near buttplate. CHINESE Model 56 SKS Simonov semiautomatic rifle # 21002945 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 0144 in . Excellent-PLUS condition, essentially UNISSUED and UNFIRED. EGYPT Mark I Martini-Enfield single-shot carbine # 571 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1882 and reworked at Citadel in 1905. Very Good or so with most finish turning a pleasing gray from age. Bore is quite bright and strong. Stock has no arsenal repairs and retains brass unit-disk on right side. Functional, with a tight action and very decent for these. PHOTOS . . . $625. FRENCH Model 1886 R35 Lebel bolt-action cartridge carbine # AD75550 (8x50R) mfg. by Châtellerault before 1890, with 1937 dated Châtellerault replacement barrel (with N-marked chamber). Near Excellent condition, mostly full remaining metal finish turning brown with age. Bolt not matching, but remaining numbered parts match barrel. Bore is verybright and strong, stock has some of the expected dings and handling marks from the past 1 1/4 Centuries but is sound has not been sanded. Not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $625. FRENCH Model 1907-15 M34 Berthier bolt-action cartridge carbine # F38382 (converted to 7.5x54mm) originally mfg. by St. Etienne in c.1915 with 1936 dated Tulle barrel. Excellent condition, most remaining black enamel finish on metal parts. Bolt not matching, but all serialized parts including triggerguard matches. Bore is strong and mirror bright, stock is very attractive, with a few interesting arsenal repairs at bottom. Not import-marked. SOVIET Model SKS-45 Simonov semiautomatic rifle # GO1611 (7.62x39) mfg. by Tula in . Excellent-PLUS refurbished example with 100% blue and a chromed mirror-bright bore. All matching serial numbers, bolt-carrier has been blackened during refurb process, blade-bayonet still bright. SWISS Model K11 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull cavalry carbine # 184352 (7.5x55mm) mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1930. All-matching serial numbers including magazine. Excellent condition with most original bluing remaining except at corners and edges (bluing on magazine floorplate and triggerguard browned from carry) and a near-perfect mirror-bore. U.S.A. Model 1917 bolt-action rifle # 121343 (.30-06) made by Remington in 1918 with undated (WWII-era) replacement High Standard barrel. Excellent condition, with nearly full bluing remaining on all external metal. Bore is slightly rough from being fired with corrosive ammunition (the ONLY type available until the mid-1950's) but lands are very strong. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $1250. C&R
U.S.A. Model 03-A3 Springfield bolt-action rifle # 3436710 (.30-06), receiver mfg. by Remington in 1944 with RA 8-44 barrel. Excellent condition with 95% light gray Parkerizing on all metal, some light wear at bottom of triggerguard and floorplate from carry with sweaty hand. Bore is mirror-bright and very strong (gauges TE = 1.0, MW = 0). Walnut stock has Ogden Arsenal stamp on left side, Virtually no handling marks on stock or handguard. Not import-marked. U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 1504974 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in April 1943 with undated (possibly Winchester) barrel. Excellent condition with full Parkerized finish on all metal and having a bright and very strong bore with tight muzzle (TE = 2.0, MW = 2.0). All SA components except HRA bolt. YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/47 Mauser bolt-action rifle # K6845 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1948/9. Excellent-PLUS condition, a large-ring intermediate-length Mauser with 99% or better original bluing and a sharp mirror-bore. Tito-era crest above chamber, straight-handled bolt numbered K6845 (matching), some other numbered parts mismatched with all milled small parts.
