ISRAELI Model "Mossad" semiautomatic pistol # AB05459 (9mm) mfg. by Fratelli Tanfoglio in c.1990 with blued finish and frame-mounted safety lever. Very Good condition, with some holster wear but mostly full bluing and a mirror-bright bore. Essentially a CZ75 clone with a 15-round magazine, slide stamped MOSSAD between two Stars of David on left side, frame marked MADE BY FRATELLI TANFOGLIO S.P.A. FOR "WEAPONS HOUSE LTD" - ISRAEL on the left side and circular ISRAEL SHOOTING ASSOCIATION logo on right side. RUSSIAN Model 1895 Nagant 7-shot revolver # 2992 (7.62x38R Nagant), mfg. by Tula in 1914 with Imperatorial markings invisible due to the M.O. 1914/42 overstamnp. All-matching numbers, a rearsenaled and reblued example in Excellent PLUS condition with full bluing, strong markings, and a bit grainy bore. SPANISH Model Gecado semiautomatic vest-pocket pistol # 25066 (6.35mm = .25 ACP) made by the Eibar firm Santiago Salaverrķa in 1931 (Eibar date-code D) for G. C. Dornheim AG (Ge Ca Do) in Hamburg, Germany. A copy of the Browning Model 1906 (a.k.a. ":Baby Browning") in Very Good condition with most bluing intact (some wear and light external verdigris). AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action carbine # 2812V (8x50R) mfg. by Steyr in 1902. An original carbine in its original 8x50R caliber in Very Good condition with 60% or better bluing and a rough dark bore. No matching numbers (bolt not numbered, barrel numbered 6354J, stock numbered 8943L. Not import marked, scarce in original caliber. PHOTO . . . $250. C&R
AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action steutzer carbine # 3876C (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1916. A rearsenaled shortened long rifle in Excellent condition with 98% or better bluing and a bolt that is stamped matching. Bore is a bit rough but mostly bright with strong rifling. Nicely figured walnut stock is extremely pretty with some minor handling marks and has been renumbered 3876 on left side to match rest of rifle. PHOTO . . . $165. C&R
CHILEAN NAVY Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle # 486 (7x57) mfg. by DWM in 1899-1900. Near Excellent condition, with 90% or better deep bluing, unique Navy crest (consisting of star above fouled anchor) boldly stamped atop chamber (in place of the usual Chilean coat of arms). No matching serial numbers. Walnut stock (with 1895-dated cartouche) has original finish with a few dings, dents and other handling-marks. Includes brass muzzle cover, cleaning rod, and original brown-leather sling with rectangular brass buckle. CHINESE Type 56 Siminov semiautomatic carbine # 1717736 (7.62x39) mfg. by Factory 906 in c.1963. Near Excellent condition with 85% bluing on all metal parts, bore is excellent and extremely bright. All matching numbers, buttstock has few handling-marks and thin lengthwise crack on handguard, CAPT. W.C. PURSCH scratched on bottom left fide of forend. Includes cleaning-rod and cleaning-kit in butt numbered to this rifle. A bringback from Vietnam (captured by Capt. Pursch in 1965) with three official capture-papers as documentation. Scarce arsenal. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 85795 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1934 on a hex receiver with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 90% or better bluing on all metal parts. Bolt body stamped 85795 to match barrel, bore is stronmg and very bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # Ab5721 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1940 on a round receiver with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent-PLUS condition with 95% or better bluing on all metal parts. Bolt stamped 5721 to match barrel, bore is mostly bright (has been counterbored at muzzle). FINN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action short rifle # D9180 (7.35x53 Carcano) mfg. by Terni in 1939 with [SA] Finn marking on left side of barrel-shank. Near Excellent condition with 90% original bluing on upper metal, magazine shows more wear. Bore is quite bright with areas of crud in the grooves (would likely "shoot clean").and is quite strong. ISRAELI Model 98k bolt-action rifle # 549110 (7.62x51 NATO) mfg. by Fabrique National in 1954. Very Good condition, with most Parkerized metal intact, some light pitting at wood-line, small parts browned. Bold Israeli IDF crest above chamber. Has all-milled parts. Bore is very bright and strong, bolt does not match receiver. Buttstock has quite a few handling-marks (one semi-circular dig on left side) and is stamped 7.62 at bottom. PHOTOS . . . $395. C&R
ITALIAN Model 38 Mannlicher-Carcano short rifle # P6264 (6.5x52) mfg. by Terni in late 1940 (the XVII year of Mussolini). Fair to Good condition, with some external pitting and little remaining original bluing remaining with LOTS of greasy cosmoline to have fun with. Bore is full of grease (typical of what could have been expected during the fabled "golden age of collecting" 25-30 years ago, and similar to what Lee Harvey Oswald had to deal with when he ordered his from Klein's). JAPANESE Type 44 Arisaka bolt-action carbine Series 2, # 7688 (6.5x50) mfg. at Koishikawa in c.1917. Near Excellent condition with 80% or better original finish remaining. Bolt not matching (however matching bolt body with bent-down handle is included), with intact mum. Very strong and surprisingly bright bore. Stock has original finish with some of the expected handling marks, includes original leather sling (which are rare all by themselves). Functional and complete with attached spike-bayonet. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 6, # 79778 (7.7x58) mfg. by Nagoya Arsenal in late 1943. Very Good PLUS condition with some browning and "freckling" of metal, has a strong and bright chrome-lined bore. All-matching numbers with cylindrical bolt-handle, mum has been ground. Rear-sight is ladder type without aircraft-wings, includes original cleaning-rod. Wood has original finish with some dings and scars from actual battlefield use. Not import-marked. JAPANESE Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action rifle series 25, # 50316 (7.7x58) mfg. by Kokura Arsenal in 1945. Very Good or so condition with thinning bluing (typical of "last ditch" Arisakas) with a strong and mostly bright bore. All-matching numbers with plum-type bolt-handle, mum has been ground. Last ditch type, with fixed rear-sight and wooden buttplate. Forend is separate piece held in place by barrel-bands, no provision for cleaning-rod. Wood has been sanded. Not import-marked. LATVIAN FIRE BRIGADE Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 68186 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1936 on a hexagonal receiver. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All-matching STAMPED serial numbers. Bore is mirror-bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Left receiver-flat stamped F. L. P. Mi. (partially obstructed by importers' serial #) which stands for the German-occupation FeuerLoschPolizei (Fire Police) from 1941 until 1944. In this case, the Mi probably stands for the sizable town of Mitau - now known as Jelgava. Buttstock and handguard has some scuffs and scrapes in shellac. PHOTOS . . . $325. C&R SOLD
PORTUGUESE Model 904/39 Mauser-Verguiero bolt-action short rifle # F8963 (8x57) mfg. by DWM in 1904. Very Good condition with all-matching numbers and bold royal crest above chamber. Original (browning) finish with a nice mirror-bright bore, some wear on exposed part of barrel. Includes cleaning-rod and leather sling with rectangular brass buckle and hinged muzzle-cap. Stock has some handling marks from us with a small noncritical diagonal crack on left side where they drilled a small gas-relief hole in receiver. Originally chambered in the obsolete 6.5x58 Verguiero cartridge, these rifles were rechambered to 8x57 in Germany just before WWII and have one of the smoothest actions of any military rifle. SOVIET Model 91/30 (ex-Dragoon) Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 12351 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1926 on a hex receiver with six-line legend under star above chamber. Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts. All-matching serial numbers (small parts electro-penciled) . Very Good or better condition (not a refurb) with 75% or better bluing on all metal parts. Mismatched bolt, remaining serial numbers matching. Bore is strong and mostly bright (has NOT been counterbored at muzzle). Buttstock and handguard has some scuffs and other handling-marks, 1936-dated arrow in star cartouche on right side. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action ex-PU SNIPER rifle # GK7205 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1943. Very Good or so condition (not a refurb) with a strong and bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). All stamped serial numbers matching, added scope-number on left side of barrel-shank. Left side of high-wall receiver still has welded-up bolts in it from PU scope-mount. Stock "de-militarized" by previous owner many decades ago by sanding the wood, filling up the cleaning-rod channel and sling slots with plastic wood and installing hunter-type sling attachments to the bottom. Also the top of the front sight hood has been removed. Not import marked, can be easily restored with a replacemet stock and front sight. PHOTO . . . $125. C&R SOLD
SPANISH Model 1893 Mauser bolt-action infantry rifle # 2I8734 (7x57) mfg. at Oviedo in 19(09) with correct bayonet and scabbard. Near Excellent condition with nearly full original bluing. No matching numbers. Includes cleaning rod and leather sling, stock and handguard has many small handling marks but nothing major.
