BRITISH Long Lee Enfield Mk. I bolt-action rifle # 3733 (.303 British) mfg. by Enfield in 1896. Near excellent condition, an all original as-made early Long Lee with magazine cut-off and volley sights intact, bolt has safety on right side. No cleaning rod (as usual, as these were officially removed early on). Right side of stock and top of barrel marked with unusual cross inside large C, Buttplate unit-marked 33R.A. / 6. Also has intact R M ENFIELD / I / 1 cartouche on right side, M & D stamped on left side, and green web sling. Not import-marked, rare, possibly Boer War usage. BRITISH SMLE No.1 Mk. III bolt-action rifle # C7163 (.303 British) mfg. by Birmingham Small Arms Co. in 1915 with intact magazine cut-off. Very Good condition, nearly full oil-blacked finish on metal and a strong mostly bright bore. Bolt mismatched, other numbered parts are force-matched. Stock and handguard are sound and have not been sanded, with the expected handling marks from actual military use. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $275. C&R SOLD
BRITISH Model No.5 Mk.1 Enfield bolt-action "Jungle Carbine" # Z4380 (.303 British) mfg. at Fazakerly in January 1947. Very Good condition, with 70% phosphate finish. Bolt and forend numbered to receiver, magazine not numbered. Has very strong (if not very bright) 5-groove bore and 1-marked bolt-head. Now comes the caveat: this cute little carbine must have been too heavy for "Bubba", who decided to sporterize it by cropping the forend of the stock, losing the handguard, and grinding off the bayonet-lug. The forend and handguard have been replaced by reproduction parts purchased from SARCO. It is what it is. Not import-marked. PHOTOS . . . $325. C&R SOLD
EGYPTIAN "Hakim" semiautomatic rifle # 14819 (8x57) mfg. by Maadi in 1958. Near Excellent condition, over 80% original bluing (turning brown on action cover and magazine) with a mirror-bright very strong bore. Beech stock has original finish with considerable handling marks and dings, numeral 110 painted on right side. Includes removable 10-round magazine and forest green web-sling. FINNISH Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 64842 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Sestroryetsk in 1917 on a hexagonal receiver, Finn Army stamp [SA] on left side of barrel-shank. Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing on all metal parts. Bolt is stamped matching, other parts ground. Bore is bright and strong and muzzle has been counterbored. Buttstock has very few handling marks but otherwise looks new. Includes correct leather sling and metal swivels as well as cleaning-rod. PHOTOS . . . $475. C&R SOLD
GERMAN Model Kar 98/ bolt-action Mauser carbine # 3243hh (8x57mm) mfg. by Erfurt in 1916. Very Good or better condition, most bluing remains. No matching numbers. Nice strong and extremely shiny bore. Buttstock is original beech with an old arsenal repair at rear of handguard. Totally original unsanded finish with all cartouches clear and expected handling marks from actual use. Includes reproduction 98k sling in excellent condition. Not import marked. PHOTOS . . . $425. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 2910b (8x57) mfg. by Brno (code dot 43) in 1943. An all matching original 98k in excellent condition with 95% or better bluing. All numbered parts stamped 2910 (have not checked the stock or handguard). Bore is very strong and mirror-bright. Has solid front band, remaining small parts stamped. Includes original cleaning rod, front sight hood is likely a reproduction, sling is not a 98k sling. stock and handguard are laminated with red phenolic resin and retains its original finish (with some handling marks and scratches from actual service use). GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 834v (8x57) mfg. by Brno (code dot 43) in 1943. Near excellent condition with 90% or better bluing. Bolt (and most bolt parts) numbered 8503e, magazine floorplate, bolt release and rear sight matches receiver and barrel, but no other parts do. Bore is very strong and mirror-bright. Includes original front sight hood and worn leather sling, cleaning rod likely a reproduction. and handguard are laminated with red phenolic resin and quite attractive. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 9143e (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code byf 44) in 1944. An all matching original 98k in Very Good condition with 70% or better bluing (smaller parts browned or have rust, especially on buttplate... it looks like it has been stored in someone's attic for decades). All numbered parts stamped 9143. Bore is strong and literally mirror-bright. All-stamped parts except for milled rear barrel band. Includes original cleaning rod and front sight hood, and has leather 98k sling with buckle in Good condition. Buttstock is laminated with red phenolic resin with very clear Nazi eagle over WaA135 cartouche on right side. As-found and uncleaned, not import marked. PHOTO . . . $1250. C&R
ISRAELI Model 98k Mauser bolt-action single-shot TRAINING rifle # 1038 (.22 Long Rifle) mfg. by Fabrique National in the mid-1950's. Very Good or better condition with most blue remaining (magazine floorplate and triggerguard turning brown from use). Bore is excellent, Bolt matches receiver (no other parts are numbered on these). Has bold IDF crest at top of receiver. Buttstock is solid walnut with many handling marks and scratches, number 14 painted in white on bottom. RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action sporterized infantry rifle # 544310 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Remington in 1917. Somebody took an all-matching Remington 1891 and cut-down the barrel, fabricated a ramp front sight, added a peep rear sight and lengthened and bent down the bolt. Excellent condition with complete bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. The ponly thing npot matching on this rifle is the buttplate (an obvious and ill-fitting replacement). SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action faux SNIPER rifle # DE6203 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Tula in 1939 on a low-wall receiver. Excellent-PLUS arsenal-refurbished condition with 99+% remaining bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Of course this is a put-together INTER ORDNANCE import with clear (likely modern) optics, all numbered parts numbered 6203 (without letter prefixes), mount not numbered at all. SWEDISH Model 96/38 Mauser bolt-action short-rifle # 4440 (6.5x55), mfg. by Mauser Oberndorf in 1900 with straight bolt and unthreaded muzzle, Near Excellent condition, with nearly full original bluing. Has a mirror-perfect bore, stock disk stamped 6.50/1. Rear sight is early type (100-600 meters), all matching serial numbers (cleaning rod not numbered). YUGOSLAVIAN Model 24/52-Č Mauser bolt-action rifle # P11129 (8mm) mfg. by Zastava in 1957. Excellent condition, a large-ring standard-length Mauser with 95% or better original bluing and a sharp mirror-bore. Nice Yugo crest above chamber. All-matching numbers, with all mi8lled parts.
