AUSTRIAN Model 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull bolt-action infantry rifle # 9778H (8x56R) mfg. by Steyr in 1917. A rearsenaled long rifle in Excellent condition with 95% or better bluing with matching parts that headspace correctly. Has spurious Nazi acceptance-markings (WaA63) on both sides of receiver, right side of barrel-shank, front of triggerguard, and on wood at bottom of grip. CHINESE Type 53 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action carbine # C4914 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Factory 26 in 1960. Excellent-PLUS, literally UNISSUED condition with 100+% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright near-perfect bore. All-matching numbers, wood has some minor contact-marks but nothing serious. CZECH Model vz24 Mauser bolt-action short rifle # 5555R4 (8x57mm) mfg. by CZ in 1938. Excellent original condition with a very sharp if not very bright bore. Very bold Czech national crest (two-tailed rampant lion) atop chamber. Reblued with full finish, mismatched bolt, no number on stock, but round disk on right side stamped 5555. FINN Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 61045 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. by Tikka in 1944. Excellent-PLUS condition with 99% or better bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright very strong bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Matching bolt-body, includes cleaning-rod. FINN Model 28/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 48701 (7.62x54R) barrel mfg. in 1937 by SAKO on a post-1898 receiver with SK.Y civil-guard marking. Near Excellent condition with 85% bluing. Bolt knob numbered 8701 (matching) and on the right side of barrel-shank is stamped S46133, which is the Guard district for Etelä Satakunta (in Western Finland). FINN Model 39 Mosin Nagant bolt-action rifle # 27703 (7.62x54R), barrel by VKT in 1941 for the Finnish Army Signal Corps. Excellent condition, with full original bluing on all parts and very strong markings. Bolt scrubbed and not renumbered, top of barrel-shank stamped V. Bore is mirror-bright with perfect rifling (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Finn three-piece wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has popsicle-stick joints on sides and some superficial damage to top of tang with the usual dings and other handling marks. FINN Model 39 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle # 258649 (7.62x54R), mfg. by SAKO in 1945. Excellent condition, with full bluing and an excellent mirror bore. Bolt-knob numbered 8469 (matching). Wartime stock (rounded finger-joints) has bold SAKO wheel cartouche with some marks from handling and storage, 1 1/2" x 1/4" chip in bottom of stock. Very Good or better condition, with considerable remaining bluing and a better than expected strong and bright bore. Bolt-knob stamped 6562 (NOT matching). Postwar stock (squared finger-joints) has some handling marks and some circular plugs but no cracks, handguard has very pretty burled figure. GERMAN Model 98k Mauser bolt-action rifle # 5624c (8x57) mfg. by Mauser (code 42) in 1940. This is a prime example of the infamous Mitchell's Mauser in Excellent condition, with 100% bluing and intact (authentic) Nazi markings. Has all-milled parts, Polished-bright bolt (and all bolt parts), bolt, triggerguard, barrel-bands and magazine-floorplate have been totally renumbered to match receiver & barrel. The bore is very strong and mirror bright. Modern made buttstock is laminated with flat buttplate. Includes repro leather sling, cleaning rod and locking-screws as well as "Letter of Provenance" certificate that doesn't tell you the serial numbers have been re-stamped. GERMAN Model 33/40 Mauser bolt-action "mountain carbine" # 5973b (8x57mm) mfg. by Brno Arms Factory (Waffen Werke Brunn, code 945) in 1940 with a mere 19.6" barrel. A rare carbine in Very Good overall condition with very sharp and distinct markings and 60% or so faded original blue. All-correct with non-matching 33/40 bolt and a mirror-bright near-perfect bore. Matching numbered solid wood buttstock with metal kickplate has been heavily varnished. Missing cleaning-rod and front sight-hood. Rare, only about 50,000 of these were produced at Brno. RUSSIAN Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action Saint Petersburg Cavalry School carbine # 50105 (7.62x54R) adapted from a rifle mfg. by Tula in 1901. Excellent condition with 90% bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore. All-matching numbers except buttplate. Features a unique permanently-attached scabbard for the spike-bayonet on the right side, a short ladder rear sight similar to that on the 1907 carbine and turned-down bolt handle. This is the actual example illustrated on pages 109 and 110 of Karl-Heinz Wrobel's "Drei Linien, Die Gewehre Mosin-Nagant" (1999) and is the subject of Chapter 10 in his book. A refurbished and updated Ex-Dragoon rifle in Excellent arsenal-refurbished condition with 100% bluing on all metal parts and a strong and somewhat bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Serial number on bolt body and magazine-floorplate electropenciled to match receiver. Includes cleaning-rod. Solid birch stock and handguard has usual shellac finish with few handling-marks. SOVIET Model 91/30 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action faux SNIPER rifle # HG2477 (7.62x54R) mfg. by Izhevsk in 1942. Excellent-PLUS condition with 99+% remaining bluing on all metal parts and a mirror-bright bore (NOT counterbored at muzzle). Of course this is a put-together Century Arms reproduction PU sniper with original clear SVT-40 optics (dated 1942), all numbered parts stamped 2477 (without letter-prefixes), reproduction mount not numbered at all. SWEDISH Model 41B SNIPER bolt-action rifle # 18059 (6.5x55), mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1899. A very nice specimen, with 90+% bluing, only bolt (and all bolt parts) matching receiver. Includes 1941-dated AJACK 4x90 scope with exceptionally bright and clear optics with leather lens-caps, scope-mount and metal case for scope both numbered to rifle. Near-perfect mirror-bright bore, with 6.49/1 bore-disc, dial-type m/55 rear-sight adjustable from 100 to 600 meters in 25-meter increments. Buttstock and handguard are beech with some small nicks and compressions in the wood from handling and storage, but considerably nicer than is usually seen and quite a handsome rig.
