U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 411857 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in December, 1941 with original SA 12-41 barrel. A "restored to as issued" Garand, the original barrel has a TE of <1.50 while MW is 0.0. Barrel "pad" has been chromed. Bore is bright and shiny. All parts are correct including narrow base gas cylinder, "flush nut" rear sight, grooved hand guard retainer ring. Stock is solid and in good condition with the usual ,but minor, dents and dings. Cartouche is a partial but is obviously a real "GHS". Internal parts are all correct and original with exceptions noted as follows: To be perfectly clear, the following parts are not "as issued": Correct SA-3 op rod but has had the relief cut applied, follower rod is of later manufacture, gas pad on barrel has been chromed, windage flush nut and elevation screw are reproduction. I have taken great pains with this particular description because I want to be sure that it is clear what I am offering. Early WW II Garands ,with early features are much in demand and are scarce on the market. Having said that, this rifle is a "place holder" or "representative piece" which can be ,nevertheless, fired without harming/wearing out a very expensive, valuable original, all correct rifle. The parts, if sold separately, would exceed the asking price however I don't like to break up a historical piece merely for profit. Not import marked, with CMP certificate of authenticity and data-sheet. PHOTOS . . . $1575. C&R SOLD

Stock is in very nice condition and has a "P" within a square mark on the face of the pistol grip. This marking denotes either a San Antonio Arsenal or Red River Army Depot rebuild. There are no other markings on the stock except for a painted rack number ("34"). Not import marked, with data-sheet. PHOTOS . . . $1075. C&R
U.S.A. Model M1 Garand semiautomatic rifle # 3598768 (.30-06) mfg. by Springfield Armory in March, 1945 with original SA 1-45 barrel. Made in March,1945. All WW II correct with "SA / NFR" cartouched stock. TE is 5.0 and MW is 4.0. Bore is dull but with no pitting or corrosion despite the wear numbers. Stock has the usual scratches, minor dents and rubbings from troop use. All parts are correct for a January, 1945 rifle and metal finish is original. Pad is NOT chromed and rod is NOT modified. Lock bar rear sights are present. This rifle was purported to have come home from the Pacific with a veteran. No proof of this but the rifles appearance suggests that this story may have some truth to it. Not import marked, with data-sheet. PHOTOS . . . $1895. C&R

This rifle uses a new made 7.62 NATO barrel, not the original .30-06 barrel with a sleeve.
